Hello everyone, first time to use the dongle and I read it got few updates.
when I plugged mine i got nothing, is it because of root? anyway to update it manually?

tmobile hawaii usnig a mac. got the mango update just fine, but ive been trying to install the dell update that comes after mango and i keep getting the error 800700ce.
i noticed it happens while its backing up the phone. tried just backing up the phone and got the same error.

I think it may be your cable, buddy. Try switching to the original cable that shipped with the phone and also see if you can hook to a desktop for the update.
im using the cable that came with it. also, on a mac desktop....
I successfully rooted using teletype's guide Shield Android TV rooted from this forum, combined with Tutorial: Root Shield Android TV 500GB (Marshmallow) from the Nvidia Shield Zone website. I think the main reason I had to borrow from the latter was that I could not get a cursor to load on the screen in TWRP using the file in the first guide, despite trying 4 different types of mice. Also, there was something in it about drivers which helped I think.
I was able to use Market Helper fine a few days ago but when I tried last night it told me it could not activate as the device was not rooted.
Did this happen because of an update and is there anyway to avoid this happening in the future while still receiving updates?
Can I re-root without having to reconnect my laptop up again?
Installed 5.0 update to my Shield Tv 16 & now my box loose network about every 5 mins
I came home from a trip and my shield tv tells me I can now install the 5.0 experience. So I get all happy and install it. But now I cant seem to keep it connect via Ethernet very long. It works if i reboot the box. But it does not last and then what ever im doing says i've lost the internet connection. I reboot and its back again for a while. Anyone else having this problem ?
Had exacttly the same behaivior. I tought this must be a faulthy Update process and I treid to flash recovery. Now I'm stuck there and nothing boots.

Hello all,
I need to help a friend with his Note 4 N910W. The devices has some software issues but has a bad USB. Can not be flashed with Odin.
Already replaced the complete Charging port Flex/Module but still not connecting to PC for data. It doesn't also fast charge as I believe it uses the data pin to detect the charger plugged in.
I have tried rooting without pc then flashing a custom rom but can't find a rooting method.
Can anyone help or point to where a can get a ROM/FIRMWARE which is signed and can flash via the Stock Android Recovery cos I think it's the only next thing that can work.

Hi all,
I have an allshare cast dongle and when i'm trying to connect my S8, stock ROM to it, it says, "The dongle firmware will be updated to the latest version. The dongle will automatically restart after the update is complete." but after waiting 15 minutes it still hasn't updated and when i try to connect again it says the same thing... Any ideas? Current firmware version is LJ02.
