Hello
I think the phone is bricked but I'm trying anyway...
Only adb is working but i can't copy zip file on the phone
"failed to copy 'LG-G2_D802-StockMOD_v1-01.zip' to '/sdcard/rom.zip': I/O error"
It works for small files... great
Everytime I reboot in recovery mode it's like he lost everything on sdcard, even on / if I put a zip, nothing stay after a reboot
If I put CM in / for exemple and I try to flash it I've got :
Updating partition details....
E:Mount: Unable to find partition for path '/cm.zip'
Error flashing zip
Updating partition details....
If you can go to download mode, just go back to stock. In general section.
Can't back to Download mode :/
Today i was trying to install the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 on my Galaxy S5 Snapdragon via Odin, i downloaded the firmware from Sammobile, i verified that the phone model was exactly the same as named on the firmware, i place the .md5 file in the AP slot and everything was ready to go! (The phone was already plugged and in Bootloader mode, and drivers were up to date) then when finishing the flash Odin FAILS to complete the flash and the phone is left with nothing than the Download mode, i panic and try to access recovery mode but realize that there´s no recovery....I proceed to install the recovery.tar into my phone and it works, i start the phone and Samsung logo comes up, finally it loads and does al the process after you flash a Samsung phone.
Everything works just fine!...except for one thing, THERE´S NO RECOVERY!!!. The phone works perfectly but when i try to enter recovery mode, it sends me to Odin mode as it displays a message saying that failed to boot into recovery.
Please help me i don´t know what to do.
Thanks!
Just flash a custom recovery like twrp or cwm

You need to flash a pit file to complete the install correctly.
Phone stats:
6.0.1 (Samsung Galaxy S5)
G900VVRU2DQI2
Android Recovery (NO CWP, NO TWRP installed)
The Phone is NOT Rooted
USB Debugging was NOT turned on.
Password was forgotten and device is locked.
I have ADB installed on my PC.
End goal, I would like to be able to disable the lock screen without losing important data.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho....php?t=2620456
Method 7 wouldn't work as when trying to flash from a zip file in Android Recovery I received the following message (for multiple different zip files).
I get the following message:
E:footer is wrong
E: signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
My Next Approach:
Most methods for password reset require that USB Debugging be enabled, and I am unable to do that. I figured the best way to start again would be to go in and enable USB Debugging and then try some of the above mentioned Methods again...
I have tried downloading the firmware ,using ADB Automater to create a firmware file I can flash using AP in Odin 3. The process said it was successful ("PASSED") but the phone behaves the same and ADB debugging wasn't turned On.
I followed the following steps:
http://www.99mediasector.com/enable-usb-debugging-locked-phone-without-access-setting/
Any help, would be greatly appreciated. Maybe I'm missing a small step?
Does installing TWRP through download mode require usb debugging?
If not, install it, and then delete the .key files in the system folder.

No, still no resolution. As I understand it, you need to have USB Debugging enabled in order to install TWRP.
You have to enable oem unlock to flash twrp afaik

i've succesfully managed to install twrp (just using odin 3.09, unchecked autoreboot, flashed last twrp and wait 3 mins and said "passed") .. so, i've unconnect the s5 from pc.. got out the battery to turn off the phone and without any reboot i've entered recovery and (after a backup) i've flashed a file ("rmpass.zip" or something similar) ..reboot without install any of twrp app (just click on "do not install") .. and done..

Were you able to keep your data and info on the phone doing it this way?
Thanks,

Okay, I have a SM-G900V (Verizon). I went here to download the tar file.
https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxys5qualcomm.html
I went into Odin, and disabled the auto reboot, but the file never shows as passed it always FAILS.

If you can get into TWRP, try this?
"Simply boot into TWRP and enter your PIN (if you've set one) to decrypt the stroage. If you don't have TWRP (for whatever reason) you can do so via ADB too but ONLY if you've connected your phone to your PC beforehand and also accepted it's fingerprint on the phone itself.
Delete (or rename) the following files inside /data/system (note that probably not all of them exist for you, simply delete those you can find):
password.key
pattern.key
locksettings.db-wal
locksettings.db-shm
locksettings.db"
Quoted from: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/fix-wrong-pin-pattern-when-restoring-twrp-nandroid-backup.452384/
Also fully aware this is not for your specific device but nor was it when I used it on my Moto X Play.
It worked a treat
Also, are you experiencing any error codes or bootloader warnings/messages when in download/ODIN mode? (Top left)
If so report them back so people can potentially help.
It may be a mechanism that's put in place to stop flashing of files if lockscreen has been incorrectly disabled.
Not talking from experience here so take my words with a pinch of salt.
EDIT: Realised you may not be able to even get into TWRP...
Have a look round for people with similar problems, maybe someones built an unofficial version to solve the issue

This method WORKS on a locked bootloader, disabled USB debugging, forgotten pattern Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (kenzo) with Qualcomm Snapdragon 650.
Simply:
Boot phone into bootloader / Fastboot Mode (Vol Down + Power)
Plug phone to PC using USB cable
Let Windows install drivers (make sure on latest Windows Update for fewer problems) or install drivers manually (Google "Xiaomi Drivers" or "Google Android Drivers")
Download "Portable Minimal ADB and Fastboot" and extract the archive to desktop or wherever using WinRAR or 7-Zip
Download the latest TWRP Recovery for your device, place it in the ADB folder and rename it to twrp.img
Open cmd.exe (Start button, type "cmd")
Navigate to your ADB folder ("cd YOUR_ADB_FOLDER")
Then type "fastboot devices" and "fastboot boot twrp.img"
The device will boot to TWRP, swipe to "Allow Modifications" (TWRP will ask on some devices) then go to Advanced>File Manager
From the file manager, go to data/system and delete these files: password.key, pattern.key, locksettings.db-wal, locksettings.db-shm, locksettings.db.
Go back to main TWRP screen. Go to Reboot>System to reboot the device. TWRP will ask to install itself to system app, chose Do Not Install.
The pattern will be gone.
Exactly TWRP is best

Exactly TWRP is best, just make sure it doesn't require any usb debugging thing!
Hello to everybody.
like the title of the thread suggests i have a Samsung S7 Edge (g935f) that isn't able to boot anymore. For what I remember I rooted this phone in 2017, using cf autoroot with Odin, but never installed some other custom rom.
Friday i needed to install upgrades and make a big mistake, I've disabled the unlock oem option. Now the device don't boot anymore, showing the Custom binary blocked by FRP lock when try to boot and even when is in charge, and in recovery mode you can see dm-variety verification failed... error.
I've tried to flash a new stock firmware, downloaded using the Samfirm tool, with odin but stuck in NAND Wright.
I've read that with this two errors, the phone is most likely in a hard brick situation.
Some other informations: in recovery mode I have the following informations:
MMB29K.G935FXXU1BPH6
samsung/hero2ltexx/hero2lte
6.0.1/MMB29K/G935FXXU1BPH6
and at the bottom the "dm-verity" error message
in download mode:
Current binary: Custom
System status: Custom
FRP LOCK: On (that's my fault)
Hope someone can help, and thanks.
Sorry didn't read your post correctly.. since you are still on v1 bootloader
Follow this link :
https://www.techzai.com/fix-drk-device-root-key-for-samsung-galaxy-phones/amp/
In short, extract AP and copy boot.img and system.img to new folder, then rename boot.img to recovery.img and repack AP using only these 2 files (system.img and renamed recovery.img) or maybe repack system+renamed recovery+boot which means we flash boot.img 2 times.. if using only system and renamed recovery doesn't work, and maybe add userdata.img too if adding boot.img doesn't work..and try flashing in official odin (if it doesnt get flashed in official odin.. use prince comsy modified odin)
(before doing this download this firmware and apply above procedure on it :
https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s7-edge/firmware/SM-G935F/EUR/download/G935FXXU1BPH6/89733/ )
(Auto tar 2.0 link use to repack files to tar :
https://www.mediafire.com/file/ah20ha869prdkkc/Autotar2.0_By_FixFirmwares.com.rar/file )
Don't tell me if you detect any viruses lol, i don't own any file, just helping to get your phone working again (delete all such files after using them)
Flash bl, csc, cp as usual alongwith this modified AP, use default odin options (don't tick nand erase or any other advanced option in odin)
And dont try to boot into recovery as there will be no recovery .. if lucky .. you will be able to boot phone to go in settings and enable oem unlock option.. if unlucky you will brick your phone even further like efs partition further damage/ nv data corruption (which could be fixed by a box)
So i told you the risks, i will not be responsible for anymore damage.
Note : don't update to newest/latest firmwares or higher bootloader (because it makes rooting and fixing device very difficult as firmware with a higher bootloader version cannot be downgraded to lower bootloader version) and also your dm verity is permanently destroyed so even if you are able to fix your phone by yourself you will always need to keep oem enabled and dm verity disabled to use it.. and upgrading to latest firmware will only create more problems
Good luck ..
Welcome everyone,
I am looking for solution of my issue.
