I'm not happy with 4.5.15. Can I just wipe system & both caches and then flash 4.5.14 without any problems? I am rooted and twrp.
Yes

Hi,
I have a rooted OP5 with 4.5.13.
I tried to install the flashable zip (from here) via TWRP without wipe, but ended up in a bootloop.
I've restored to the nandroid backup, wiped data, and tried again. This time the OP5 managed to boot only to recovery.
I've verified the md5 of the file I've used.
Do you know why this is happening? Do you know how I can upgrade to 4.5.14?
Thanks.
Did you download the full ROM or just the update?
I tried both. I didn't succeeded to install the update (as it is not intended for rooted devices).
The full rom is what caused the bootloop.
If you are doing a dirty flash you wipe cache and system. If you are doing a clean flash you wipe cache, system and data. It doesn't sound like you wiped the correct partitions when doing your flash. You also need to flash Magisk or SU after the ROM flash and before booting up or you will lose TWRP and root. If your phone is decrypted for some reason you also need to flash a no verify zip or your phone will boot loop because OOS is made for encrypted phones.
Hi guys
I updated my OnePlus 5 from this link
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/official-stable-oxygen-os-5-0-update-t3724247/amp/
how to downgrade oxygen 5.0 to oxygen 4.5.15
I tried many times with many recoveries
Couldn't downgrade please help
Thank you
Please help
Reverting back to the 7.1.1 will require a full install and clean flash (FULL WIPE of all data and cache). Please be aware that all data will be wiped during the revert-back process, so do remember to backup your data in advance.
Stock Recovery:
Download Rollback Build and place it on internal
Reboot to Stock OOS Revovery
Wipe Cache
Select “Install from Local” and choose the downloaded build to install.
Reboot your device after installing the build. You have to re-enter recovery mode to Wipe data cache and Erase everything(Music, pics, etc).
Reboot your device again and you're all good to go.
Custom Recovery | TWRP
Oreo Compatible TWRP
Download Rollback Build and place it on internal
Reboot to compatible TWRP
Wipe Dalvik , System, Data & Cache
Select ROM Zip and Swipe to Flash
Flash SuperSU Beta/Magisk Beta
Wipe Dalvik & Cache
Reboot to OS
hy, you can find all you want here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74629867&postcount=3
on: Reverting back to the Official OTA path/7.1.1
Thank you
I can still boot into twrp but can't get OOS to run. It's asking for a factory reset but don't I have to be in OOS to do that?
You need to flash stock firmware and wipe via stock recovery, backup userdata first
I figured it out, thanks.
Hello everybody
So this is weird asf..
So I got Mi 9T with MIUI 10.3.7 EEA stock rom. TWRP and Magisk flashed. I wanted to update MIUI to the latest 10.3.12 and I found a method online to update via TWRP by flashing the new MIUI stock rom then flashing a zip "Lazyflasher-no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip".
I backed up (system, data, boot) and then wiped (sys, data, catch, dal/art), then flashed the newer MIUI rom, then Lazyflasher zip. But I got an error installing Lazyflasher. So I wiped and restored my backup and the device booted into system. But then I discovered that the system is acting crazy. Fingerprint, wifi, all sensors aren't working.. etc.
I tried re-restoring my back ups, and tried wiping Dalvil/Art cache, Data and, Cache (TWRP factory rest) but nothing changed.
I'm considering flashing stock room but I don't want to lose bootloader unlocking and wait again.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
Hello everyone.
Currently I'm running OxygenOS 9.0.9 with Franco Kernel, rooted with Magisk and with the official TWRP recovery.
In preparation for the release of stable OxygenOS 10 I decided I wanted to go fully stock but how can I do that?
I've found some OOS recoveries but they seem kind of old.
And if possible, I'd like to know the steps needed to go back to stock
Like, what partitions to wipe, in which order do I flash stuff, *what* stuff should I flash in the first place, all of that
Thanks in advance
Hiya,
2 ways you can achieve this.
01. Full clean, with locked bootloader (internal wiped)
02. Full clean with unlocked bootloader (internal may get wiped partially)
Or else, using Magisk Uninstaller, but that will not be clean wipe. However, as you are already on stock rom, you will not face issues to just unroot via magisk uninstaller. Please ensure to use the latest uninstaller or the uninstaller which was available with the release of magisk.
01. Install Latest OOS (9.0.11 - for Pie, OB2 for Android Q).
02. To install you can use local upgrade while booted, or any TWRP, like codeworkx/bluspark and install from recovery.
N.B.: From Pie to Android Q, you will have to do full clean wipe, as it anyways will get wiped out.
If you want to lock bootloader, the system will automatically format data, and you will lose internal storage data.
Let me know if this explains a bit, and rest I can assist per your further query.
