I am urgently looking for someone who can help me as I get more volume levels on the galaxy s8? and how can I increase the volume?
But I do not necessarily want an app for it, but that actually have anchored in the system
with a file explorer you can do it. But I'm sorry I'm Spanish and the translator is not going to make it clear to you
Download Sound assistant, go under advanced settings, decrease volume steps, profit
@SuperSandro2000
hi, thanks for your tip. I wanted to ask what kind of app it is and where to get it from.

For specifically what you want you will need root for that
I own root. the xposed tools do not work and insert the line in build.prop, with the volume steps also not working
Hey!

You're welcome.
Have you tried fixing permission or wiping dalvik?
Did you search (generally and in the rom's thread especially? I doubt you did.)
thank you.
perhaps , it is a bug on it and there is no way to solve it.

[which btw was is semi-white colour]
When you select the ringtone try to push the volume button down and back up again.
Works like this: Press the ringtone you want, and adjust the volume when the ringtone is playing BEFORE you confirm it (press ok).
That did the trick on my phone.
Also the fix permission they mentioned above may work.

but it is too light and white to readable on a white background.
I did volume down and up but it did not work for me and so how to fix permissions ?
This is how to fix permission : http://bit.ly/T1ZhsM
Interestingly everything was working on my room.
Today, the notification sound stopped.
I searched for the solution on the main forum of the room, and one of the "possible causes" is after installing a Voip program (that in fact, I did. Others are removing SD cards, earphone plugs...).
Basically the solutions are:
- Slow down the volume until mute. Choose another sound. Increase volume. Choose the previous sound. Problem clear.
- Slow down all the volumes (ringtone, alarm...) and increase them. The notification should work after that.
On my device, none of them worked...

Hello all.
I had the same problem with my phone (ROM : NexusHD2-JellyBean-CM10 V1.3a by Tytung :good until now !
I think I just discovered a solution :
Go to Setting --> Profiles --> Defaut (or your personal profile) --> check Alarm, Multimedia, Ringtone, Notification and set the volume to the max.
Now you can go to Sound and adjust your differents sounds precisely.
This worked for me, hope it helps you too so please give me your feedback.

Hadn't seen that one before...lol
shan, i'm also having the dreaded 'low volume for notifications' issue. i haven't dug too deep into patch files on here so i'll try your trick first and see if it helps.

As far as we know, there is no documented way or API to change system-wide volume on WP8, however...
It looks like author of the Quiet Hours application found an udocumented way to do this! Probably he is using ISimpleAudioVolume interface but I really don't know...
Any thoughts?
P.S. Guys with interop-unlocked handsets: could you please install the app and download/post the executable/assembly?

Seems like the quiet hours dev just monetized his idea..

I tried this app it didn't work for me i set time but it can't set my phone in silent mode.
I'm really interested that this app can change system volume.
I remember there was an app for fully unlocked wp7 devices to change system volume but now i can't find it.
Maybe Ativ S users with Interop Unlock and Full FS can help with this. They can get app files and upload them to check how is it possible.
I looked for decrypted xap file but i didn't find that

Yep, looks like the void Shell_AdjustVolume(int) call is exactly what he's using... Hmm, I need to try myself!

Try to pin app first, and manually toggle the volume by tapping tile (you don't need to wait 30 minutes).

I tried waiting over 1 hours to be silent but didn't work .
I know Pin tile work it has no problems but working with time is better .
Adjusts the volume by the number of steps specified either up (positive) or down (negative).
Code:
HRESULT Shell_AdjustVolume(int numberOfSteps);
I also noticed that if you set the volume to 0, and play a WhatsApp voice message, it plays on full volume although it is set to mute. Anyone know how this is done? It would be cool to be able to use this to set important reminders

What'sApp voice messages use the "phone call" volume (/10) instead of the normal system (/30) volume. So it doesn't matter if your system volume is muted the app will use the headset phone call volume...

Could you please list your "several ways"? Thanks!
P.S. I know the only one; and AFAIK, it's very unique and tricky...
P.P.S. I already got answer on my question, and tested the "unapproved" API's via Windows Store (not published but beta)
This may seem like a stupid question, but but I want to use Power Saving mode, but keep haptic feedback enabled, but restrict the cpu performance. (I know I'll get questions about why I'd want to do this. Simply put, I want to save battery power).
Alternatively, is there an app that will do the same thing as this option under Power Saving?
Edit: I have the ATT Note 4, so I can't root. I'm waiting anxiously though. I need to fix Kitkat's stupid external SD card write security. It's driving me NUTS!

I don't think selecting icons made a vibration.

I recall this option on my rooted S3 (6.0 ROMs) in settings, so raising/lowering ringtone volume would be for both ringtone and notification. Any way to do this on S7 Edge (stock)? I have no intention of rooting, if that's the only way that's fine at least I'll know. Thanks!
Anyone

I want this too but unfortunately they haven't implemented that feature in the stock os. I have dug around the menus to make sure, definitely not in there. I think the only way would be to root but then you'll have to find a rom that has it unless there is a root application that can change that particular setting.
It is annoying but I don't think it's worth rooting over. I have a rule of five to justify rooting. So if there's five things that really annoy me about a phone rom which I can change through rooting then I do it but I haven't had any major issues with the stock rom yet.
Wish I could've been more help.

Try Smart Volume Control from play store. This app have an option to link or un link Volume.
Hi i was wondering if anybody has any way of changing the ring and notification volume separately, this is a feature im missing coming from samsung is there any fix for this?
No, that's a new "feature" of Android 9. No separation anymore.
What I did was to download the sounds I use to my PC, lowered/raised the volumes where needed, and put them on the phone again.
I was just trying this same thing a few days ago, i swear i thought you could do this on older phones.
