How to add boot sound for my OP5? - OnePlus 5 Questions & Answers

[Already solved]
Hello
I am trying to add a boot sound and I put an "audio.wav" into both part0 and part1 in bootanimation.zip, but none of them works.:crying:
Is there any way to play a sound when boot?
Thank you for advice

Oh I just found out why
The desc.txt config file in bootanimation.zip is
Code:
640 720 30
c 1 0 part1
p 0 0 part2
And the official document(github.com/OnePlusOSS/android_frameworks_base/blob/oneplus/QC8998_N_7.1/cmds/bootanimation/FORMAT.md) explains it.
Put in the first part do not work: I think perhaps the second "0" which means pause 0 frames after it finishes. The sound file may be played last, so do not have time to be full played.
The second part: "p" refers to stop the animation while boot complete. Before reaching the played-last sound file it finishes. So...
I try to add another folder "part3" and add "c 1 0 90 part3" to desc.txt. WOW, cool bgm.("90" should be a must. Original file set FPS to 30, and my sound file is 3s. "90" let it to show)

It's done!!! Random Gif change in S2U2

Hey Folks,
After some experimenting with MortScript, it's done.
I create a script that will automatically Change the gif files in S2U2 in a random Order.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
########################
###S2U2 - Gif changer###
###Dr.Jeckyll - 2008 ###
########################
Repeat(9999)
If(ProcExists("iLock2.exe"))
Run("\Program Files\S2U2\iLock2.exe")
Sleep(1000)
SendOK()
EndIf
gif_nr = Rand(29) Change this Nr. to the number of gifs you want to use but +1
Copy("\Storage Card\My Pictures\"&%gif_nr%&".gif", "\Program Files\S2U2\gfx\Wallpaper.gif", TRUE) you can change the folder where the gif files are and you can change the installation folder of S2U2
Run("\Program Files\S2U2\iLock2.exe")
Sleep(3600000) every 1 hour the picture will change the time is in milliseconds
Run("\Program Files\S2U2\iLock2.exe")
Sleep(1500)
SendOK()
EndRepeat
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just copy the text between the lines in an empty document and rename it as S2U2GifChange.mscr
Installation:
1. Install MortScript, I use the latest beta from http://www.sto-helit.de/index.php?module=page&entry=ms_overview&action=view
2. Delete the iLock2.exe and the S2U2 exe from your Windows/Startup directory
3. Copy the script to the Startup directory.
4. Restart the device
You have to rename the gif files you would like to use to 1.gif, 2.gif, and so on, and you have to write the number of gifs +1 to the green marked point in the script.
When the message Ilock 2 and s2us are closed apperas, do nothing it will self close.
Thanks for the effort. Just my 2 cents:
This script will run resident all the time and take up valuable memory and processing power.I think instead of doing a repeat loop, a better way is to simply queue the script in the notification queue.
The first if condition after repeat is to quit ilock which is not necessary. There is a restart command line parameter for S2U2.
chris.wilcox has another version here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=389397

Getting Startup Animation Back...

I cant get my ATT TILT to run the startup anim. anymore - checked the registry and have the enabled value set to 1 - here's where I went...
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\StartupAnimation - and I set the enabled value to 1 - still no startup animation - help please?
Make sure you have the correct files mapped: your .gif file is saved in the Windows folder, and is spelled correctly etc. If this doesn't work, try downloading my cab file for my animation, and then just change the values to want you wanted them to be.
thanks - will do
thanks a bunch...

How to change the screens when windows loads and ends in WM6.1

Hallo,
Anybody knows it? I would like to change it on ALEUT firmware:
- WM screens in startup
- Mobile operator screen in startup
- WM screens in shutdown
- Mobile operator screen in shutdown
Thanks
Nobody has any idea what do i have touch in the files?
i do want the same thing! anyone has the answer??
I am sure that we must a file modify, but I don't know which.
When windows mobile starts up the images is : carrier_splash
its very easy to do ! just rename bmp files and make them read only n hidden files and paste it in windows directory
* Make your jpg (or png) images with size 176 x 220.
* Copy them to some folder in the phone (e.g. \Windows). Don't place them to Storage Card.
* Run any registry editor and add a registry key 'splash screen' to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft].
* Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\splash screen] and add string values 'CarrierBitmap', 'CarrierShutdownBitmap', 'MSBitmap' and 'MSShutdownBitmap'.
* Edit added string values, so as they point to your images. Use full pathes to the images even if they are placed in \Windows.
* Reboot your phone.
Note :
CarrierBitmap : Operator startup logo
CarrierShutdownBitmap : operator shutdown logo
MSBitmap : WM startup logo
MSShutdownBitmap : WM shutdown logo
you can use plugins in total commander
Thank you very much!

[REQ] HTC Youtube Player (Reg) Tweaks

Does Anybody know how to change the TempFileLocation to SD-Card?
I found an Registry string, but if i change it eg. to 2 than the Youtube Player hang while loading the Video
"HKLM/Software/HTC/YouTube/TempFileLocation with a value of 1
Also the downloaded Temp.3gp from Youtube can not be played with any Player, also VLC on my Computer says that he can not play the file.
Is there Anyway to download thwe Videos with the HTC Youtube Player, like on the Iphone (eg. MxTube)? I tried several Registry stings but no one work.
I only found out that the EnableSW improves the Video quality very, but while on loading the file it is a little bit frameskipping.
Thanks for helpful answers.

About the "TEMP.3gp" file
I ran TrID on the file and it gave this:
Code:
TrID/32 - File Identifier v2.02 - (C) 2003-06 By M.Pontello
Definitions found: 3975
Analyzing...
Collecting data from file: C:\Users\HS\Desktop\Temp.3gp
100.0% (.SKC) ISIS sketch (1001/2)
hmmmm!! seems irelevent any Ideas??
by the way did you try to set the registry key to "0" ??!!
Guess I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Scaning the file in hex editor for media headers brought this up
"....ftypmp42....isomavc1mp4"
YES!!
It IS mp4
The hex address was
Code:
0x318
then I just cut from there up ie:
From the top of the file
Code:
0x0
To
Code:
0x317
The Header Must Be Like this
Code:
00000000h: 00 00 00 1C 66 74 79 70 6D 70 34 32 ; ....ftypmp42
And also renaming the file to something.mp4
wheeeww......now it works..!!!!
seems google was adding some sort of additional herder!
If you don't know hex editing don't bother it aint that important is it?
PS:Your file might be something else (not mp4) then the header will have to
change but I guess the additional header is the same length!?
correct me if I'm wrong!

[TUTORIAL] [WITHOUT PC] [PORT/USE Any CyanogenMod Theme Bootanimation on any Android]

Hey Guys, Chahat here!
This time with a Tutorial on how to port and use ANY CyanogenMod Theme's Bootanimation for and on any Android device.
Well, the Detailed Video Tutorial is also available, and i guess it'll help you better
[url]http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/tutorial-t3438058/post68157966#post68157966[/URL]
We'll port BOTH THE TYPE of bootanimations supported by the CMTE (CyanogenMod Theme Engine)
The ones containing portrait type frames (or .png files), and
The ones containing Square or Landscape type frames.
TOOLS REQUIRED:
ES file explorer
Batch image converter
Easy unrar
APKs of some CM themes having Bootanimation (Obviously -_- )
Calculator
1. The Bootanimations containing portrait frames:
Extract the theme apk by renaming it to .zip
Go to assets/bootanimation/bootanimation.zip, extract it
Go to batch image converter, select part0 folder
Convert the images in .png format, your screen size and don't forget to tick "replace existing files".
Do the same for the rest following folders (part1 and/or part2)
Move to ES file explorer, open the desc.txt file
There you'll find some values, the first and second values represent the resolution of images
Change the first and second values according to your screen size, save the file
Go to easy unrar, find part0, part1 and desc.txt
Select all part folders and desc.txt file, compress them to "STORE" level, named bootanimation.
After compression, cut the bootanimation.zip from there, extract the CM porting zip, place the bootanimation.zip in system/media folder and repack the zip
Reboot to recovery and flash
DONE!!!
2. Bootanimations containing Landscape or Square Frames:
Follow Steps 1-3 same as previous one
In the batch image converter, select conversion in png format, tick "Replace existing files" and move to Calculator
Now here's the tricky part, Note down the resolution of any image in the bootanimation zip
Suppose the resolution of the images of the bootanimation is 1080x720
And your screen resolution is 480x800
Divide the first value of the resolution of the image of bootanimation with that of your screen
1080/480=2.25
Now divide the second value of the image reslution with the number we obtained
720/2.25=320
So the resolution in which we have to convert the images with batch image converter will be 480x320.
Convert all the images in all the folders in the resolution you obtain
Rest all the steps same
DONE!!!
