anyway to fix this error or anyone encounter this after installing themes? i am getting this error whenever i reboot my device. anyway to fix it? thanks in advance
Quick google search tells me it is part of the touchscreen software. I would think that it got corrupted somehow. Do a hard reset then reload one of your known good Backups.
once i remove custom theme the error has gone. but once i install it appear again whenever i reboot. any help on that?

[Q] Please Help: System UIDs Inconsistent + Error code "-24" - nothing works..
Hallo all! I really HOPE someone might help me with two really annoying issues:
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 Black-Edition (Modelnumber: GT-I9505). From day one I rooted the phone
(CF-Auto-Root-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505.tar.md5)
but still use the samsung stock Rom. My Android version is 4.4.2 and I had the genuine firmware-version I9505XXUGNG8 from the Samsung homepage (sammobile).
.. Since the update from the firmware-version I9505XXUGNF1 everything has been working perfectly for three weeks, but yesterday when I restarted my phone suddendly the error massage "System UIDs Inconsistent... [...] need to wipe [...]" appeared before I was asked to type in my PIN. I Ignored the message and started my phone as usual, but suddenly my nova prime launcher lost some of its homescreen shortcuts and all of the widgets. Note that this "System UIDs Inconsistent"-Message appears each time I restart the device.
.. After manually restoring the shortcuts and widgets on my homescreens I noticed that power amp was missing. Ever since I was trying to reinstall it from the google Playstore I get the error message "Unknown Error code during application install: "-24" ", so I'm not able to get that app again (I got the premium version - can't download/install the unlocking-key file either).
I got the premium version of titanium Backup installed and did a complete backup of all user and systemapps (app + data) a month ago , but I simply can not find the power-amp entry in my backup!! Does anyone know what filename to look for in the titanium backup-file in order to restore the poweramp app??
Those two error messages ("System UIDs Inconsistent" - "Unknown Error code during application install: "-24"") are really driving me crazy, so does anyone have an idea what could be the cause for those issues and how to fix them? Is there anyone sharing the same problem? What could I try to solve that problem?
I'm VERY thankful for any sort of help!
No one sharing the same propblem??
A small update:
I deleted the Cache and all Data from the Google-Playstore App and I deactivated it.. After I reactivated the Playstore app the error-message after rebooting dissappeared ( "System UIDs Inconsistent... [...] need to wipe [...]" )! .. So one problem is remaining!
Still cannot install the poweramp app! Still get the error-message "Unknown Error code during application install: "-24" ", although the app is NOT installed on my device. I removed every 'com.maxmpz'-entries.. Note that I did a Titanium-Backup BEFORE the problem occured for the first time, but I am not able to restore the app using Titanium.. Titanium-Backup starts to restore poweramp bu nothing happenes (Process-Bar always stays on 0%).
.. So PLEASE, can anyone help me?? I want my poweramp back!

Since you've rooted your phone im guessing you have also installed twrp or cwm. Your best bet would be to make a backup of your rom, apps, texts etc, wipe your cache and dalvic cache then reboot to see if this solves your issue. Otherwise preform a factory reset and reboot to see if the problem persists.
Probably the cleanest solution HERE
Hello there,
I am on 7.1.1 rooted with bootloader unlocked.
Everytime I try to install an apk file I get this message "There was a problem parsing the package"
Unknown sources is on!
I found on 6.xx when I turned on unknown sources I had to do a full reboot first and quickly open solid explorer to get the install done. Have you tried that yet?
Can you post a link of one apk failing?

Sorry I can't.
I've not seen that exact error or actually any error toast installing an apk from my sd. In the installer the install button would not depress for me unless I did that re-boot and acted quickly. Not used 7.1 yet but hopefully I'll be able to use fdroid on it. I can on 7.0 after the initial install of PureNexus since "unknown sources" checked comes with the rom I've been able to install what I want. I turn if off after that and some updated apks are tricky to get done.

Hi there,
I will move your thread in the correct forum dedicated to Galaxy Note 3 Q&A for more relevant answers.
Good luck
Try flashing a stock ROM from sammobile.com with Odin.
I have clean flashed resurrection remix 6.0 (8.1.0) with stock Gapps on my OnePlus 2
Everytime i go to the apps menu in settings and the app permission menu it says package installer has stopped
I have tried wiping cache/dalvik
I have tried clean flashing with pico Gapps still it didnt work so back with stock
P.s. i have no problem in installing from play or from an unknown source and have no problem in providing new permission to the apps but i cant change them once selected
Unable to attach images using apps and cant post link before 10 posts
I have exactly the same problem.
Nexus 6p on RR6.0 (Oreo 8.1).
Can install apps. But cannot access permissions.
Getting this error message "package installer keeps stopping".
I have tried to clear package installer cache, even clear its data. But the same problem keeps cropping up.
This post has no solution to it. Just an affirmative to whatever you are facing. I wish somebody could help.
Experts, please tell us what information you need. and how to get it for you. I would be very pleased if I could get to the bottom of this frustrating problem. Thank you!
I just had same issue with my Mi Max running RR 6.0.
It started after changing the theme to dark in settings-display option.
I reflashed and things were ok.
As soon as I change theme to dark it started again.
I reverted back to automatic theme then everything is alright.
So i guess issue is with RR source.
My wife's Pixel with RR 6 just had the same issue. Setting the theme to automatic fixed the issue. Makes me wonder if the dark theme setting during night hours would make the issue appear only at night...
Edit: Posted a bit too soon. Set her clock to 10pm, watched the theme change, attempted to edit permissions... Package Installer stopped.
