Hi Folks,
I'm not able to open image files which transferred from Pc via Bluetooth. In Gallery it is visible. However when i try to send through whatsapp, its showing 'This file is not supported'. and the extension is .jpg only.
Have you tried to transfer the same image with USB instead? It returns the same problem?
There is little to no point using BT for anything other than gaming and audio.
Use your dash cable.

Hello,
I hope you all are fine. I am experiencing a strange thing in my PC-Wizard bluetooth file transfer.
First of all I would like to know which version of bluetooth do we have in Wizard? Some websites say it is 1.1, others say its 2.0. Anyway, the scene is, that when I send file from Wizard to PC, it is transfered at (at the most) 15 Kb/sec. That's it. I have never seen it accede this limit (I saw this speed by transferring a file with Resco Explorer, it shows the rate of transfer). Now, when I transfer a file using the usual way (rt-click -> send to -> bluetooth -> Pocket_PC) it too transfers at almost the same speed.
But when I transfer a file via ActiveSync (connected via bluetooth) it does it real fast. A hundred KB file takes 1 second. And the speed is the same even if I copy from PC to PPC or vice versa.
If Wizard has bluetooth 1.1, this shouldn't be possible? If it has Bluetooth 2.0, yet it should send files faster when transfered the normal way too.
What transfer speeds do you guys experience. Also please tell me if you find any difference between the transfer rate if the file is transfered via ActiveSync or if its transfered otherwise.
Thanks.
Having trouble with bluetooth file transfer on a Nexus One and Windows Vista PC... suggestions? When I initiate a file transfer from the PC, I get a "No services found" error. However, the device can connect to PC audio via bluetooth without issue.
for some reason the OPP and FTP bluetooth profiles aren't included out of the box, try searching for bluetooth file transfer on the marketplace
Many people were claiming that with 2.1 BT transfer is finally unleashed but in reality only a very few files type are supported (MP3 and Jpeg). If you try to send an .apk or .rar files for exemple it will hang.
Also don't forget that you have to put BT mode to ''discoverable'' (it will go off after 2 mins) and that Desire Roms till now have unstable BT
Hi all,
My phone detects the laptop and it says paired but not connected and, when I try to click this tab nothing happens. My laptop is Acer 4820tg.
Can you be a little more detailed?
What are you trying to do with Bluetooth?
I am actually trying to use mkremote and want to send some music files to my phone.
Well, once a phone and laptop are paired, you need to open the actual program to start the services. You won't get any options from the Bluetooth menu on the phone.
For mkremote, you need to download the PC software as well http://www.devbury.com/
For sending music, use your PC to send the files via Bluetooth. If BT is on, and you're paired, a notice will come up on the phone to accept the file.
I can't be more specfic on sending files, because I use OSX which has a "Send File to Phone" button...
Is the BT on the computer set up right?
Hi
I have a nexus 7 in my van that I am using as stereo. The tablet is permanently fixed so I can't remove it and connect it to a computer. I also can't disconnect the power cable and connect a usb cable.
I am using the default google music and video app to play back my media. If I upload an album to my "mymusic" account and then download it (select to store on the device) to the nexus, it shows up no problem in the play music app. Before I fixed the nexus into my van, if I connected a usb cable and connected it to my computer and copied music over it found it no problem.
The problem I am having is the nexus doesn't have a memory card slot and it's not really convenient to connect it to my wifi to download the music so I have a kingston wi-drive that I can connect wirelessly to the nexus. If I copy music from this to the nexus it doesn't show up in the play music app.
If I browse to the folder using a file manager I can see the music, it just won't show up in the play music app.
This is the same for any videos I copy over. They do exactly the same thing.
I've tried turning the tablet off and on again, I've tried putting the media in different folders. I've also tried selecting refresh music from "google play server"
Does any one have an idea how I can force it to find the media?
thanks
nick
Does anyone have any help with this?
New development. I can open the DCIM Camera folder in Windows 10 file manager and see the pictures but as soon as I try and start copying them I lose the connection. I can still see them on the PC but when I click on one to view I get image not found. Same whether in file transfer or picture mode. If I start all over I can again see and view each one but the connection gets lost when I try to copy them. Never had this issue before. Thoughts?
Update: It was the cable. While it worked well for most functions file transfer was not one of them. Plugged in the OEM cable and worked just fine. Time for new cables.
Further update: I appears file transfers fail over long cables. The shorter stock one worked fine. Transfers fail on 6' or more cables. Bought brand new one and tried to transfer to transfer 5 photos. Failed after 2.
