I'm rooted and I'm trying to move my titanium backup folder to my windows 10 PC, but it wont let me copy and move the folder. I can move other files on my phone to my PC but the titanium folder I'm trying to move gets an "unspecified error". Does anyone else have this problem or know what I'm doing wrong? I'm forced to backup to my google drive which is taking forever.
I use adb pull to get mine to PC...i.e. adb pull /sdcard/TitaniumBackup TitaniumBackup
use winrar, store the whole folder in rar format and move it to pc, that wht I usually do.
I'll have to try that. Thank you guys for your suggestions

I'm just carious to where my Phone only apk is download to? It's not in the download folder and i would like to back it up in case something goes wrong with the phone. Anyone happen to know where i can find all the file i download off the market? Thanks.
If you installed an app from the market, the phone doesnt save the apk file, it just installs it. If you downloaded an apk from the browser, it will be in SD card/download.
Most of the time the app called appsaver will find installed programs and copy the apk to the card. There is also titanium backup.
I would use titanium to back up your apps. (Backs them up to sd card and you can then back up the folder to your computer.)
/data/app is where all the installed apk's go.
So my dad accidentally deleted the folders and files in file manager. His tablet works fine, he uses it to browse so doesn't download anything, but I want the files there for peace of mind.
How can I get all the original files back? Dont really want to reset the tablet as it has got his apps and so on which I don't want reinstall. If that's the only option though then I will reset it.
I do have the same tablet myself so if that helps then please let me know.
So he uninstalled the file manager? Or deleted something else?
If it's on yours, you can copy and transfer with no issue.
If he just uninstalled the filemanager or deleted an aspect somehow, copy over directly, or install a different file browser like ES.
File manager is still there but my dad must have gone on it and pressed delete, select all, and delete again. So there are no files in file manager, or any folders, apart from maybe 1 or 2.
It shouldn't affect anything then, but if you like just go into your file manager and copy all the folders, then you can put them in anther folder, which you copy and empty in his filemanager directory. Its simple cut and paste really
So, I want to run app backup and restore and am trying to copy my backup folder to my PC. Yet, when I go to my device on my PC using windows explorer, I find no such folder. I have show all hidden folders etc set on windows 7. I go on my device under storage and I can see the data is in the folder and I can't figuere out what to do next. I tried another program but, they all seem to use that folder. I also tried to change the folder and it wouldn't work (cannot create folder).
thanks:good:
I would even take suggestions for a program that allows you to backup straight to your pc.

For some reason I cannot copy large files from my Nexus 4 to my PC (Nandroids mainly) either via windows or ADB. The process starts, but soon ends and the files are not copied although no error is displayed. If I try and copy a Nandroid, the smaller files are copied, MD5s, recovery, boot etc. but NOT the biggie, the DATA file. any ideas?
This is an old thread but I can't see a solution. I too have had this problem surface, I've made titanium backups which in the past I've been able to just copy the entire folder onto desktop but that's not working now. What is wrong?
I can describe how I did it recently, as I wanted to do the same.
First I tried with copy command and had same problem.
Then I tried with move command and it worked.
Another way is wireless with an application like Wi-Fi transfer Pro.
You run the application at mobile and it gives you a site link to open at a browser at pc. It's similar to Airdroid, but no need for registration or Qr codes.
Then from pc you find the files or folder that you want to copy and you just press download.
This is how I copied 3.7gb nandroid backup.
Unleashed by my Nexus 4
That's an interesting idea, I will give that a go later but it is only a workaround. We need a fix as it wasn't an issue previously.
I am trying to copy the contents of my Titanum backup folder to my computer by connecting my phone (LG G2 Running KitKat) to my pc via the usb cable that came with the phone and then enabling MTP transfer mode which works for the most part but when I explore the Titanum backup folder from my pc, there are no files visible despite the fact that they are clearly visible when exploring the same folder from the phone itself so my question is what do I need to do to make these files show up on my computer as well so I can complete the transfer ? I am running windows 7 pro and have the correct drivers for the device installed on my computer and have root access it that matters at all.
TIA,

Well that's something with tibu and what you need to do to get them to show up is move/copy them to another folder on your phone(sometimes I move emu from the new folder to another folder to get them to appear on pc)
Sent from my LG-D800 running stock kk, rooted with philz using XDA app

Thanks, I just copied and pasted them to a new temp folder on my phone called "TIBU" and the files are now showing up in windows and transferring as I type this. I can then just delete the temp folder and have a copy on my PC as well as the original backup on my phone. Silly extra step, but it works. Thanks again.
