Hi,
Updated my essential phone to the lastest build NMJ51B before I went to bed last night. When i woke up in the morning the phone was off and wouldn't turn on. I hard reset the phone, but now the phone won't go past the boot screen with the essential logo.
I can reboot my phone into fastboot mode by pressing the volume down and power button. But when I select any option (ie. Start, Recovery mode, and Power of)f it sends my phone back to the boot screen.
I can't seem to get my phone into recovery mode the wipe/factory reset my phone.
My phone is also rooted and had only been updated with stock OTA roms.
Anyone have any ides on how to get my phone working again?

I have Cyanogenmod 11 on my LG G2 and everything was working fine until I plugged my phone in to charge it earlier today.
Now it's stuck at a firmware update screen and no matter what I do (even trying to boot into my sideloader) doesn't work anymore.
Funny thing is, it booted normally into Cyanogenmod a few hours ago, but now the problem is back. Any help please?
You can manually reboot into recovery using volume down+power button. Holding the power button forces a reboot, so hold the combination keys after it reboots. The phone should show a white screen that asks about factory reset, ignore and follow the instructions listed then recovery will boot.

guys, my phone is non rooted, locked bootloader. (xt1068 from flipkart, india)
i updated to android 5.0.2 from system ota updates, the official update which came today.
It was fine in the beginning. i did a factory reset, and after typing my google password , the phone went
into a bootloop and got stuck in the blue ripple motorola animation.
i tried turning it off by pressing the power button for 10 seconds. but it goes back to the same state.
someone help me.
Try going to recovery mode and reset factory once again. To go into recovery switch off bootlooping phone by holding power key for few seconds, once the mobile turns off completely, hold the Volume+ and power button simultaneously and release after few seconds, you will go to recovery mode, factory reset from their and I think this will solve your issue.
it'll stop automatically.

same happened to me but i had rooted my phone.
it went into bootloop and phone restarted quite a few times.
then after some auto reboots it stopped rebooting and msg displayed that it was unable to update to lollipop.
but the bootloop had stopped.
Same forma me, waiting the ROM stock lollipop and flash it with rsd lite... The procedure work with lock bootloader, it's only way if you wont unlock the bootloader
Hello,
I have an S4 from ATT and after it ran out of battery last night it is now booting directly to recovery mode.
When I plug the charger it wont show the battery charging icon, it just makes a short vibration every like 10 seconds and the screen remains black.
I removed the battery and put it back again and tried to press volume down + power button to access the other mode but it wont allow me.
Since It just allows me to access the recovery mode, I performed a wipe data reset and it when through successfully but when phone restarted it took me back to the recovery screen again.
What can I do to fix this?

Boot up into recovery mode and look if it shows errors of any kind. There is a possibility that your phone may have an emmc failure. Its a hardware issue and not software related. There is a small chance it could be as simple as getting a new battery but I doubt it.
Yesterday my device hardware buttons stopped working all of a sudden. I rebooted it using the scheduled reboot feature in the phone settings, because I had no other choice.
It automatically entered Fastboot mode and I can only reboot it by keeping the power button pressed (which now works), but it restarts in fastboot mode again.
I've never installed any custom ROM on this device, nor unlocked the bootloader. I've only used the stock ROM and updated it with official OTA updates from time to time, however yesterday there was no update I'm aware of.
How can I make it boot the normal Android system again?
I've found a partial solution myself: just keeping VOL-UP and POWER buttons pressed for about 10 to 20 seconds reboots it into normal Andoid system, however it still happens it goes into fastboot again when I reboot it normally. I know how to exit fastboot loop, but I don't know why it keeps entering it.
Hello! Here is my story:
I had a rooted stock os where i just changed the boot anim and everything was fine. I rebooted my device yesterday , the boot anim was fine etc. until today. When i rebooted my phone today , it booted into download mode with no reason. I didnt do any crap on it and it was fine until today. When i was in download mode i remembered i had a custom rom on my sd card so i wanted to flash twrp. I flashed it without factory reset and it didnt work. Now im stuck in a boot loop and i tried entering recovery but doesnt work.
Ok so i saw you can enter download mode with some key combo but u need the home button which this phone doesnt have (on screen controls).
Is there a way i can go in download mode and flash stock firmware with odin or unbrick the phone?
Enter Download Mode : Turn Power Off. Press and hold Volume Up key + Power Key, When Samsung Logo appears release Power Key only, keep pressing Volume Up key until Android Recovery Mode Appears.
I managed to find this method a long time ago so its fixed. Thanks for responding doe.
