[help needed] phone keep restarting after factory reset

hi guys,
i really need help...i have rooted my galaxy note month ago(odin)...i have decided to factory reset tonight as i wanted to clean my phone....
the problem i have once i have done the factory reset....the phone will boot all over again and again....
can anyone guide me please?
i have tried to restart it in cw mode but no luck
NB: NOT WORRIED TO REVERT BACK TO ORIGINAL...JUST WANT THE PHONE TO WORK AGAIN

to get into download mode u press home-power-volumedown at same time.

I HAVE MANAGED TO DO EVRYTHING ABOVE EXCEPT STEP 7 WHERE IT SAYS:
Step 7) In CWM recovery just flash the zip file “su-2.3.6.1-ef-signed.zip” from the SDCard.
I CANT SEE zip file “su-2.3.6.1-ef-signed.zip IN CWM I HAVE THE OLD ONE SUPERUSER 3.0.6 ONCE CLICKED STARTS TO INSTAL AND THEN IT SAYS ABORTED......CAN YOU PKEASE CLARIFY?

Su file is located where u put it yourself.
As long as you have flashed it with a stock samsung firmware ur good.
To root just use CF root batch tool from pc. You must find a kernel that is compatible with the rom u just flashed ur phone with. And just run the .bat file and it roots.

the thing is cant get inside the phone to know what kernel i need...therefore installing the su file cant be done...phone is not accessible...computer is not recgognizing the phone ONLY ODIN IS

if odin is recognizing the phone just use odin to flash the phone:

the only reason i got that rom is cuz it can show arabic/persian/urdu etc.... which is not supported by european roms

Hi ,
Am in the same boat as gdayhtc - Have been using Windows Phones (HTCs) for the past seven years..... got my galaxy note as my first Android Phone.
Yesterday, tried to root the set but in the process got that 'Yellow Triangle' while booting. - was not sure if I did successfully root it or NOT. - as when trying to delete some files under system\ apps using Root Explorer, I got the message that the set was not properly rooted.
But i saw that the kernel version was changed from previous XXKK3 to something else...
Finally, I thought that I will go for a Factory Reset to get everything as it was.
I did not select "Full Wipe" checkbox and proceeded with Factory reset -- The phone rebooted [In fact tried to reboot] and since then is in the BOOT LOOP..... :-(
Now downloading the N7000JPKJ4_N7000OJPKJ3_XSG.zip | 544.7 MB
Let me see how long it takes for me to get my GALAXY NOTE live again..... :-(

@ toofank -- One more noob question - Can we successfully "Factory Reset" our phones after we root them??
Once i am able to reflash my Galaxy Note with " N7000JPKJ4_N7000OJPKJ3_XSG.zip | " method, I am planning to Root the set with the above mentioned Inspiredgeek.com method.

Hi gdayhtc,
I flashed my Note with the 2.3.6 KL3 Rom using ODIN - I followed every step word by word as mentioned in the below link (post) :

Everything showed success but after the auto reboot - My NOTE is still stuck in the BOOT LOOP.
I flashed it thrice using the same ODIN process and every time it showed "Success" but the result was same every time - stuck in BOOT LOOP.
What did you do after you faced the similar problem........ and after which you posted - It worked....

Dude, I just flashed new ROM, the ROM that I have been advised, basically it is a ROM like any other ROM but you can read Arabic . I flashed it with Odin....and it worked, it eliminated the problem I had

My problem got resolved..... and my Note is back to normal.
I did understand that the UAE Stock Firmware was just like any other Stock Firmware and hence I flashed using the 2.3.6 Kernel XXKL3 Firmware because thats the latest released and also available for India officially..........
What I did was followed dr.ketan's instruction in this post - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20776423&postcount=70
I was able to get into recovery mode by pressing the Vol Up + Home + Power button in my Galaxy Note.
I deleted the Cache first... then wiped data/ factory reset.... and then rebooted the phone...........
Bingo...... everything back to normal. - The phone booted normally as it started when i first got it from the store!!!! and the Android version is the latest 2.3.6

It happened to me before.A couple of users said this is caused by phone's memory.It isn't enough for update.I tried something but failed.At last, sent for motherboard change.I hope you can sort it out without sending.

yup i do face it too.. just do wipe cache

I have done factory reset through settings and through recovery and I also wipe cache once in a week but still it happened .... So I Think the Developer Option in the Settings is causing the problem so I have turned it off now .... let's see if it happens again or not

I used nh3, what is recommended firmware?

Dude safe mode is not for factory reset but for removing problem causing apps !

i am using Samsung galaxy grand 2.. my mobile is restarting for every one hour after update my phone from 4.3 to 4.4.2 MH3 and NH6 . i don know, how to solve this problem..

Reflash the firmware ....download it from sammobile.com

Hi Friend, I'm facing the same issue. There doesn't seem to be any solution for this problem . I would suggest u take it back to the service center or wait till the new 4.4.4 update which is supposed to resolve many problems ( including restarting) ??

No downgrading will hard brick

if you have started developers option in the settings genral tab try switching off the developers options settings ...I to had such problem with my device but when I switched off the developers options in the settings tab everything was back to normal ,,,,

Hi friend do flash with stock firmware and after that format ur phone and do wipe cache partion by going in recovery mode. Try to have some memory free in sd card as well in phone memory.

Brace yourself your phone is going to bricked - recovery mode brick 90 $ for board replace :angel:

After i reset the factory, entering the first phase ZTE, there is an error at the time setup Wizard, each time entering setup are consistently popping up writing "unfortunately setup wizard has stopped". I stucked in the setup wizard :crying: I don't know to do anything, I have been trying enter recovery settings, reset phones, removing the cache.
is there any connection with root?? Because at that time, my ZTE has been rooted.

If you removed system app prevous that is the problem. You can't fix it with wipenig, you must flash rom again. :good:

How can I fix? :angel: I don't know about flash rom.

Try this:
-download your firware from official ZTE website
-extract that zip and update zip from it and copy to your SD card
-start recovery mod by presing volume up and power (your phone must be shut down)
-in recovery mod list find "update from sd card" (volume down for moving through recovery option list )
-then find that zip on your SD card,click volume up and click YES
-after all this u will lose all your data from phone
warning !!!
I dont have ZTE Blade Qlux ,..i have ZTE Blade Q

-download your firware from official ZTE website
-extract that zip and update zip from it and copy to your SD card
-start recovery mod by presing volume up and power (your phone must be shut down)
-in recovery mod list find "update from sd card" (volume down for moving through recovery option list )
-then find that zip on your SD card,click volume up and click YES
-after all this u will lose all your data from phone
warning !!!
I dont have ZTE Blade Qlux ,..i have ZTE Blade Q

Go to zte official > support > select "indonesia" for region > select Blade Q Lux(PT.TRIDHARMA KENCANA)Indonesia > click search. Done

It's an Indonesian version.
I don't know much. I am also asking the question here. Use cpuz to check before flashing.
Do make backup before using.!
