Finally, I have rooted my N5110 Note 8.0...
It's posted already in many places over the net... But I want to share what I did successfully to root my tablet with pictures
I've also uploaded files on my Mediafire Account as some links were not working.
Hope it helps ...
Note: Using this root increases your flash counter. The flash counter keeps track of how many custom firmwares you have flashed, as this voids warranty. Triangle Away can be used to reset the flash counter after installing CF-Auto-Root.

Get the 2014 software on the Note 8
Does anyone know if it is possible to get the note 2014 10.1 software on the 8in? I really want the 8 inch tablet but I want the ability to draw windows on the screen. I know I don't have the screen space, but I still like the idea. It works on the Note 3, why not Note 8???

I heard that developers need at least JB 4.3 to be able to port these features and mods to our note 8.
Maybe after we get KitKat 4.4.2 they can do it

check boxes grayed out
I attempted to use Odin to root my Galaxy Note but all the checkboxes are checked and grayed out. How do I get them so I can select and unselect the options you specified in this tutorial? Thanks for your help.
Saferoot works fine, if you have issues with Odin.
Plus you do not need to run triangle away as it does not mess with the flash counter and leaves your device Official.

Guys, if you have any custom recovery, and this method is not working, fret not.
Download the supersu zip :http://download.chainfire.eu/396/SuperSU/
And flash it. I understand this is not noob friendly, but installing a custom recovery has major advantages! Like you can install new ROMs ,and other stuff!
hey everyone figured id write up a quick little guide on rooting your s5 mini model SM-g800f on android 4.4.2
lets crack on and I hope it helps you out
this is my first guide so feedback is greatly appreciated
Things you are going to need
before you begin you will need a few things
1. Your device ( for this guide I am focusing on the sm-g800f in particular)
2. a USB cable and access to a pc
3. files from this site https://autoroot.chainfire.eu/ (credit to : chainfire)
4. Samsung USB drivers (i recommend Kies for this)
Device Prep
ok so you have all that you need lets crack on
firstly you will need to download the files from the link above and extract the folder to your desktop
now on your device you need to put it into download mode after plugging it in
to do this simply plug your device into the USB port on your PC and turn it off
then hold volume down , home and power.
if done right you will see a warning screen just press volume up to confirm you know what you are doing
The Root
once your device is connected and in download mode (see above) you are ready to roll
simply right click odin and run as administrator you should see the box in the top right of Odin is blue and say Com 0 connected or similar.
check the box next to pda and click the PDA button.
from here select the auto root file and click start
that's all there is to it
let it work its magic and when your device reboots it should say updating android if you haven't rooted before just relax this is normal and it is simply installing superuser to your device
Post rooting tips&apps
so you are rooted eh?
well done the hard part is over from here i personally always do the following
tap on superSU and you will be prompted to disable Knox security ( Knox limits what you can do once rooted disabling it makes your life easier)
i also usually install x posed and busy box as well as lucky patcher
if this is too much to read I've made a quick video guide too this is me doing the entire rooting process from start to end and worth a look of anything stumps you
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcggfrq-WzE
Will I lose the warranty?
Yes
Gesendet von meinem SM-G800F mit Tapatalk
there is a new G800FXXU1AOG2
will the root work on it?
Yes it works on AOG2 too.
Is it possible to select invisible rooting? In some of the Cyanogemod OSs you can toggle between visible/invisible rooting.
Reason being if it's visibly rooted, then I am not allowed to use it on the corporate email service (detected by Airwatch).
Worked perfectly for me, thank you
WIll this work on the brand new 5.1.1 ?
this worked om my aog2, thanks for the post
What Android version did u have installed?
firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies & try agai

No, on the website https://autoroot.chainfire.eu/ only files for 4.4.2 are listed and I finally got my device rooted with the app Kingroot. In a different thread some user announced to write an instruction for 5.1.1 g800f bit still nothing has happened.

Just tried it today on my stock 5.1.1 S5 mini (G800FXXU1BPC3) and it worked like a charm with the latest files from ChainFire.
Thanks a lot for the tutorial.

Hi,
Nice guide. My G800F is now rooted. Thanks much!
However, when I go into SuperSU it doesn't prompt me about Knox. I wish I could disable it from there.

man i have a g800f with 5.1.1 can i root it with that procedure or not?
Will it wipe my Samsung S5 mini when using this method? Or will it just root and everything continues to work as installed?
Hi I'm just new here and my previous phone was an iPhone so i'm not really good at doing advanced android stuff I bought a used Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910C) and the previous owner said if I would upgrade the phone I'd go to samsungmobile.com but when i opened the site It's just a bunch of marketing stuffs of Samsung. I tried the OTA update but I't didn't worked and screwed up my signal it only says "Emergency Calls Only" so i returned it to the guy i bought it from and he fixed it for free. It turns out that my phone is rooted and locked to the carried Smart (Philippines) and there was something used to unlock it that involves rooting it. I wanted to update my phone to marshmallow since 5.0.1 is so unstable but i don't want to screw it up again since i can't contact the guy again. Thanks
Hi, lemme try to help you.
First, you need
Phone with 50%+ battery, if not charge it beforehand.
A Windows PC, the original USB cable (the one that comes with the Samsung charger) -> Detach it and plug it into a physical USB port on your computer.
Download latest 6.0.1 Firmware (the first one) and Odin from here and follow Install Instructions on the same page

It depends on the method he used to unlock it. If it's OS-side you would lose that, yes. If it's imei unlock, it's permanent. Sorry I can't help you more about this, maybe someone else knows more about unlocking?
Hey everyone, thanks for your help.
So I recently bought a SM-G900V that was originally used on a Verizon plan. It was factory unlocked and sent to me. I have been using it on the AT&T network through Cricket for about two years. Recently I decided to add a data plan to my phone, and I researched and found I have to add a custom APN profile for it to work with the AT&T network. I discovered that the original Verizon APN is locked, and I cannot add any other options or change the original.
I researched for a bit and found that I can change the settings and add a new APN after I root my phone. I have previously owned Nexus 4 and 5 phones, so I have had experience in this subject. However, I didn't realize what a task this would become. I have tried towelroot (with all possible modstrings), kingroot, and multiple other sources, but all say that my phone is not supported.
Do you have any suggestions? This is very frustrating as my Nexus phones were VERY easy to root in comparison.
Thanks, Luke
You need to backup all important data to your pc and know your Samsung sign in info
To root phone it has to be on bok3 firmware or pb1 firmwares you can download these firmwares on sammobile.com once they are downloaded
Download Odin to your pc and got to samsungs website
And download the driver for your device
Then get a usb cable for your phone and connect your phone to your pc
Open Odin on your pc and place the firmware file in the ap/ pda slot
Boot your phone into download Odin mode
Then click start
Your phone will bootloop
Boot to recovery mode and wipe data and cache
Then phone will boot
Now find ok3 root method on xda under s5 Verizon section
And follow that guide here http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5/general/root-method-og5-ok3-t3290370

As long as you don't return the phone for service or warranty you will be fine if ou need to return it or get it repaired just flash an official firmware first
