Guys, I've flashed many ROMS and KERNELS (always clean install), the problem is whenever my battery goes around 40% the moto x play switches off. Also the
camera app has become heavy for my ROM (also one of the reasons for switching off). I am using Lineage 14.1 latest build and had flashed Squid Kernel...
Please HELP.

Hahaha, typical. I just yesterday installed Lineage 14 after running xiaomi.eu Marshmallow roms for my MI Max and today they release they new one...
Would be awsome to hear about how these roms compare?
I do like the integration with your MI account on MIUI roms, otherwise...meh, don't feel like I'm missing out on much.
Sure the interface is a bit nice...
But for me batterylife and smoothness are they main features that I'm looking for.
Id love to hear about your experiences with xiaomi.eu roms compared to the lates ASOP Nougat flavors.

I have not tried the lineage rom. Can i just download the rom and gapps and flash through twrp? The instructions seemed critical so did not try it out. Something like do this if your miui version number changes ?
Today i have downloaded and currently using the latest xiaomi.eu rom. It looks stable but lags a little here and there.

Well, I'm running Mi Max Hydrogen 32 GB / 3gb ram version and did the following to flash the unoffical lineageos 14.1
1. Downloaded the hydrogen rom: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B60OA264UF_PMjVQN3A5a2g2MDg - lineage-14.1-20170201-UNOFFICIAL-hydrogen.zip
2. Downloaded the following firmware: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B60OA264UF_PRmZpSGZpa2ZxOHc - firmware-HYDROGEN_MDG-7.1.5.zip
3. Downloaded pico opengapps for arm64 soc - http://opengapps.org/
4. Did a full wipe (except user data) i.e. not factory reset but selected in TWRP 3.0.2.0 the partitions I wanted to format.
5. Flashed the Hydrogen Rom in point 1.
6. Flashed Firmware in point 2.
7. Flashed Pico Gapps in point 3
8. Wiped Cache & Rebooted.
Its still working fine, ofcourse I made sure to backup my sms and other stuff I wanted to keep from before....MIUI backups and cloud services aren't really compatible with Lineage
Can't really say anything about the batterylife, it's decent but the phone hasn't received a decent nights charge since yesterday.
A few things that I did was to ad adway and modify youtube so that I get an adfree experience without exposed.
Also I've moved Gsam to privilaged systemapps in order to have good battery tracking.
I also use Greenify as I did with Miui 8 and have Greenyfied Facebook, Instagram and such apps that tend to hang around. Also I've Frozen the Stock Music player since it was waking the phone a lot from deepsleep. Did it with Titanium backup.

Noted. Thanks will flash tonight.
Is it smooth? Any lags? The new xiaomi.eu nougat rom is the same as marshmallow. Nothing new..
What about the lineage rom.. Does it feel like you are using nougat?
can i dirty flash 7.2.9 over the leaked MIUI 8 Android 7.0 version?
will it still lock my bootloader?

Actually miui nougat from xiaomi.eu doesn't lock bootloader on Mi Max. It locks bootloader only on mi4c, mi4s and mi note pro.

Now I've actually tried both RR 5.8.0 and Lineage unofficial 14.1 and in my opinion RR is definitely much smoother.
Flashed it about an hour ago so battery and sot is unknown.
But as for Linage the battery life is on par with what I got on miui, maybe slightly shorter but didn't test it enough to get conclusive results.
Lineage is smooth as well, smoother then miui but nothing that I was super amazed by. I didn't have the small hangups when you switch apps and such so it was good, totally satisfactory.
RR on the other hand is a clear difference in smoothness. Gonna test it a bit more, if battery holds up then I'm sticking with this rom.

Tested the battery this night and rr is dozing quite well.
0.3 - 0.4% discharge per hour and it's really smooth as well

I know this was a few days ago, maybe you've already figured it out?
Assuming you've already unlocked your bootloader and installed TWRP (custom recovery), than you can definitely flash Resurrection Remix. Our device codename is "athene" (that includes all variants of the G4 and G4 Plus).
Check out the development section in the G4 Plus forums. There you will find RR for our device and the latest build is 04/26. I've recently updated the OP of the thread with updated links to GApps and such. Also, don't worry about needing to be on stock Nougat as your device doesn't have a fingerprint sensor anyway. Good luck and lemme know if you have any more questions!
nice i have another question
the rom from resurection remix is stable? wich bugs have the last version?

None, it's very stable! They're official builds if that tells you anything. All features work great, even the stock Motorola features like "chop chop" etc. Motorola Camera can be a little tricky as there is a few options, meaning it can be a little confusing for some I think to get installed and working correctly. If you want help with that, lemme know.
Just make sure you take a backup in TWRP before you do anything and you should be fine.
what about
what about battery life vs the stock rom? and i know if i change resoluction from 1080 to 720 i can get more battery life? and the other thing i dont know is wich gapps i should download cuz when i enter in the link there is a diferent version of gapps aroma , aroma 64 etc etc

Your mileage will vary as far as battery usage goes. I don't know about changing your devices resolution from 1080 to 720 (not sure that's possible, but you can change the overall dpi. There are a couple options for doing this within the rom). As far as GApps to choose, in the OP (original post) of the Resurrection Remix thread there are recommended GApps to use. Open GApps is fine too, but just make sure to choose at most the "Mini version" for ARM. Whether you choose an Aroma version is up to you.
Just a word of caution
I have an xt1625 as well and I've tried ressirection remix rom and it runs great....for about 8 hours. Then my cellular data connection dies. I can't figure it out. It happens every time. My cellular data only comes back if I wipe and reinstall. It woks fine on other roms like Invicta os. I have no clue what's up with resurrection.
idk if posted some same thread but my problem is my phone suddenly reboots.
screen went off, twice vibration, then went to samsung galaxy s5 logo.
current setup: android 6.0.1 running no limits rom. all stock
sometimes it reboots then it is stock on the bootloader. i need to remove the battery and turn it on manually. using bootloader and modem of the latest recommended bootloader from the no limits rom.
(it also random reboots on stock firmware using spain which i downloaded from sam mobile firmwares)
is this a hardware issue?
edit: what i did was i upgraded my stock rom from 5.0.1 russia to 6.0.1 spain, does this affect anything? should i stick with russia?

i don't think it has to do with the battery because as long as you have power cores will work,
Do your phone gets too hot then?
I know what's going on I think. Something modified your kernel or something in the ROM is unstable. I had one that did that same thing when I used the camera. You need a better ROM. I recommend ressurection remix 5.8.3 nougat 7.1.2. No reason to be on marshmallow. And get this kernel. It fixed the camera issue and improves battery life. It's a unified klte rom.

That does not guarantee there's no bugs in your phone. Have you ever flashed a ROM or anything to your device?

Upgrade to a nougat ROM. It uses the same bootloader of mm so you only need to flash a ROM. Get ressurection remix or lineage is 14.1. Nougat fixes a lot of bugs and security issues. And xtrestolite isn't the most stable ROM. I had it in my s4.
---------- Post added at 06:47 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:45 AM ----------
And then if you use rr get the kernel I showed you and flash that too. Please note these Roms don't come with gapps. Google open gapps and it comes up. You want arm 7.0 or 7.1. Stock if you don't mind waiting a while for it to download. I get nano to save time as it still installs the framework and playstore. It saves space and if you want something it didn't install play store will have it anyway.

If none of the software fixes work, it's your battery. Personal experiance from my S3 Mini and my S5. Don't rage over it going nuts (been there, done that) but just get a new battery.

i dont see any pops or physical damage to it.. anyway, but ill update you as soon as I buy a new one. thanks!
Hi everybody.
I have a N910F with stock marshmallow 6.0.1 Rom, everything work well but some app are not available for this Android release
and stock firmware is full of useless bloatware so I rooted the phone, injected with odin TWRP twrp-3.5.0_9-0-trlte.img and installed many different coocked ROMS, I tried:
Lineage OS 18, 17, 16
Aosp
Cr Droid
Havoc
Resurrection ReMix
and many others
I also installed OpenGapps, usually nano version, but also tried more complete versions
But.. I keep having the same problem:
Gyroscopes on Google CardBoard app are working on stock rom
but never work on cooked rom and do not work in any app related to Google Carboard (i.e. 3D games or 3D video players).
If I flash back the stock ROM gyros and Google CardBoard work again.
I tried many different ROM so I think this issue is relevant to something I do (or do not do) during flashing process.
Does anyone have a clue?
Can you help me please?
Thanks a lot
