I mistakenly flash the wrong recovery image (twrp, then back to stock when twrp did not work) using fastboot. Just gave up on flashing the recovery and after a few months, I need to factory reset my phone and forgot that my recovery is corrupted or not working. After resetting and my phone rebooted, it just bootloop in the asus logo.
tried entering fastboot and recovery mode but it is no longer working.
So I googled and read that the only way to unbrick my phone is flash it with SP Flash tool. Can you help me find the correct firmware for my device? Or maybe i just need the stock recovery.img and flash it with SP flash tool with the correct scatter file.
My device is running the latest firmware when it was bricked.
Please help. Thanks.
Flash this Rom. It will unbrick your phone and back to 6.0. You'll need to update your firmware again manually.

Thanks, already restored my phone by flashing it with SP Flash tool and updating it manually with the official firmware.
Thanks for the information and ROM provided using SP Flash. I am now back at 6.0. What tools/firmware is required to update it manually to the latest 7.0 version? Tapping Settings -> System -> Check for Updates does not appear to do anything.

flash stock recovery first if you want to do Gabbro16Hz method.
3gb ram varient of ze550kl has this kind of problem.
You need to download latest firmware from the asus' site. Place it in the sd card.
Enable usb debugging in developers' setting. Then boot your phone into fastboot mode. Connect phone to pc via cable.
Then put the tools.zip file in the pc and unzip it. Open that folder. Run 'flash all.bat' file. This will flash stock recivery to your phone.
Now boot phone into recovery mode. Select 'apply update from sd card. Select the firmware and flash. Then reboot. Work done. Your phone will have latest update.
Hello guys.
I have a zenfone 2 laser ze500kl. I downgraded my phone via twrp and install from MM to L version, but when I successfully installed the L version i cannot access to a fastboot mode or stock recovery. Only the asus logo displayed. I manage to remove the battery to restart and successfully gain access to my installed apps and used it but the fastboot mode is gone. Im afraid to type a command in cmd again because im afraid that it will bricked and I cant access to a fastboot mode or srock recovery.
Anyone can help me please. System veraion is WW_12.8.5.118
If you have the firmware of your MM stock from ASUS website, try to copy it in your external and internal sd card. Go to setting and check for update if something pop up about update, update it maybe it will install the MM ROM with fastboot and recovery. Try also to restart phone and check for update.
PsS. Why bother to downgrade when MM is better the L?

im just trying to root my phone, i read in the forum that it is tested to root asus ze500kl with L version.
i have a copy of both MM and L to my sd card. is it safe to update it via settings update?
I dont know but I think it is safe to update back to MM via update setting and maybe it will restore your fastboot and recovery. Because you encounter those problem while flashing back to L.
It is easy to root your once you have TWRP insalled, just flash Superuser or SuperSU zip and your stock ROM will be rooted.
Did you try rooting your asus ze500kl in MM veraion?
Im following a thread here. He said he successfully rooted his asus via cmd. "mod_boot.img" he share in the forum.
I dont have ze500kl, generally you can root your phone by flashing supersu or superuser zip.
Ah ok. Tnx for the help bro. Appreciate it
Asus zenfone 2ze500kl
I cant get into a recovery mode or fastboot mode by pressing the combination of keys. What can I do to get to recovery mode to be able to flash os? Now just Asus logo appears all the time and nothing happens.
Help please!
Hi guys!
I have an issue here with the Huawei P8. I wanted to go back to stock from ARROW ROM, so
-I used Huawei Extractor to get the stock recovery and flashed it via fastboot adb
-Updated my phone with the 3 button method and put the DLOAD folder into my SD card
-I used B394 to get the recovery img and to update as well (it was ~1,6Gb)
The update started and everything worked fine, the phone said everything is fine but my phone stuck in bootloop. I mean it doesn't restart or anything but all I can see is the Huawei logo.
What should I do? Any tips how to fix this?
First try getting into Recovery mode & doing a factory reset & cache wipe.
If that doesn't work, try with a stock rom that's one prior to what you had before installing Arrow - like in this thread & follow the steps there (i.e. you first need to flash boot, system & recovery .img files extracted from the prior rom): [GUIDE] How to unbrick HUAWEI P8 when failed to update and ends in bootloop
If you cannot find where to download the prior stock rom, ask for help - someone may be able to provide a link that works. Tell us your phone's full, original model number (GRA-????), the region rom you need (e.g. C432 would be European) & the version B???.
Hello to everyone. I tried to flash the development firmware with SP flash tool but during the flash There is an error "STATUS_SEC_IMG_TYPE_MISMATCH (0xC002002A) and now the phone is soft bricked. How i can resolve this?
Try with difrent version of SP Flash tools, flash first preloader file in scatter selection. Then flash all files again. Try in "Only download" mode.

dude try to flash the twrp if u have de bootloader unlocked, and try to install the rom using he
worked for me
Okay, Let me explain exactly what I did here... I first flashed Twrp using SP flash tool which worked without too much problem. Then I attempted to install the latest super su zip which told me the boot.img was already patched and it could not find a ramdisk... So I moved on and flashed the latest Magisk zip which flashed no problem. Rebooted the device and it came up with a red boot state telling me it would boot in 5 sec. It did not boot at all. Turned off the tablet and rebooted into twrp again. I then flashed the OTA update system.img, boot.img, and re-flashed twrp from twrp itself instead of the SP flash tool. It booted into twrp no problem, however now it said it could not mount the system partition. I did a full data wipe, factory reset, rebooted into twrp again. Same issue. So I attempted to re-flash the firmware with SP flash tool. Did not notice i had it set to format and download and not only download. It said formatting for maybe 2 sec and gave me an error. Now the device will not turn on at all... no screen whatsoever, no recovery, etc... I have had no luck getting the asus flash tool to even recognize a com port however SP flash tool seems to be able to flash the device no problem. I extracted the .raw firmware file I have for the latest firmware, modified the scatter file to allow flashing all partitions, and I did a full firmware flash of the device using SP flash tool. However it still does not turn on... it does nothing... So I'm assuming that I accidentally formatted over the bootloader... And I cannot find a bootloader flash file for this device anywhere... So I'm stuck with an Asus ZenBrick... Does anyone know a way to fix this issue? When I plug the device into my computer and open device manager it switches between the preloader and mtk serial port very quickly not staying on either one very long. I'm assuming this is why I cant get the asus flash tool to work and SP flash tool works off just the initial preloader. I just bought this tablet from someone and managed to hard brick it in less than a days time... Any help at all with a way to revive this device will be greatly appreciated. Thank You in advance to anyone who tries to help me fix my mess up.
