[Q] Froyo ClockworkMod Recovery Problems

I've been trying to follow the steps in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=949497
but I'm having trouble in step 3, getting ClockworkMod Recovery working. I'm on EA28, I'm successfully rooted, and I've flashed the cwm_froyo.tar via odin and put the update.zip in the root of my sdcard. But when I try to reboot into ClockworkMod Recovery, via the "Backup Current ROM" option in ROM Manager, the stock recovery loads and I get an error saying:
E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verifcation failed
installation aborted
In the blue text of the stock recovery, I have the option to install sdcard:update.zip, but if I try that I get the exact same error.
Any ideas?

EDIT: I don't know what I was doing wrong, but I just went back to an older CWM, which worked fine, then I was able to run the new one from there. This thread can be pulled.

[Q] Tryed to flash CM on my d802

Hi,
I tried to flash CM (12) on my D802.
I used this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-...ols-how-to-install-twrp-bump-d80230a-t3072186 to install TWRP 2.8.6.1 from my lollipop stock.
I moved cm-12-20150501-NIGHTLY-d802 and gapps-lp-20141212-signed to the root, wiped factory default and tried to flash CM.
Error message: assert failed: run_program("/system/bin/loki.sh") == 0
Error executing updater binary in zip /sdcard/cm....
I even tried to wipe internal storage, install CM 11 or 10...
What did i do wrong? Did I missed a step? I'm now in recovery mode and I am afraid to reboot because I dont know what will happen.
Please help me!
Thanks
EDIT:
Restarted and realized that the phone is in an "security error" boot loop. Maybe the root/recovery flash didnt work as expected.
-> Fix: Hold power and Vol+ until in download mode. Fix update errors with the LG PC Suite.
Tried it again.
root -> TWRP -> flash.
The phone boots with TWRP. But when you wipe to factory defaults, the g2 gets stuck in a security error loop.
Same error here "Error executing updater binary in zip /sdcard/cm....".
Was someone able to install CM on their LG G2 D802 lollipop stock?

Downgrade to Marshmallow

Hello Friends, I just upgraded my Zenfone 3 ze520kl to Nougat, but i prefer Marshmallow i try from recovery mode to flash Marshmallow, it shows error and the installation aborted. Can any one help . Thanks.
What error does it show?
Error with some numbers follows by 'install aborted'. I unable remember the error numbers. I did three times all the time with same remark.Thanks.
That's not very helpful. Can you try it again and tell us exactly what it says?
Hi,
I downgraded a few days ago, here's an overview of the steps.
WARNING, this requires a factory reset so you will lose the data on the phone, so make sure you have backups before you proceed. You do this at your own risk and I am not responsible for any damages.
I assume you have adb / drivers all configured and know to how use them.
1) download firmware file http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/ZenFone/ZE520KL/UL-ASUS_Z017D_1-WW-13.20.10.152-user.zip and save to SD card / insert card in phone.
2) download recovery and boot img files for Z017D_WW_13.20.10.152
- https://mega.nz/#F!ok0V0RIA!5WKtHe98opzjVI3NPbM7Ww
- under the folder Z017D_WW_13.20.10.152
3) Go to fastboot mode (power + vol up)
- flash recovery.img (command: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img)
- flash boot.img (command: fastboot flash boot boot.img)
4) reboot to recovery (power + vol down)
5) install update form micro sd card.
set the file UL-ASUS_Z017D_1-WW-13.20.10.152-user.zip that you saved earlier
6) wipe cache
7) factory reset
If you don't do a factory reset and reboot, Android pretty much crashes on multiple processes on start up, it is unusable.

TK

Warning- No file-contexts. This package is for "ww-phone" devices, this is a E:error in /side load/ package.zip (status 7) Installation aborted.
Same thing happened to me as well. I just went ahead to flash the RAW file (http://www.asus-zenfone.com/2016/12/asus-zenfone-3-raw-firmware-and-asus.html) and updated the software to the latest marshmallow update, followed by a factory reset.
If we Downgrade
Then we get update in future yes or no??
Sorry for bad English??
Yes.
Hi, thanks for the help. Please answer this:
Do I need to use Recovery and Boot.img the same version of ROM? Why?
Why do I need to install Boot.img?

E:signature verification failed

Hello
I rooted my TAB 2 P5100 with "CF-Auto-Root-espresso10rf-espresso10rfxx-gtp5100.tar.md5" through Odin 3.0.7.
It all finished OK and As i Check through Root Checked it says that my device is Rooted and it still has the latest original Android version 4.2.2
As I go to install any possible ROM I can find through SDCARD I recieve the error displayed in the title.
E:signature verification failed
I read a bit around and I wast to add that I do not have the option to toggle off verification mode.

Thank you

NVM, it was easier than what i thought.
Download TWRP.zip and place it on the SD card
install TWRP fropm Google APP
Open it and tell it to install the TWRP.zip into recovery.
shut down and start to recovery - which starts to TWRP
after that is very easy.
