Try magik 14.3 ----->https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=817906626617939040
14 and 14.5didnt work for me

Use one of the versions of TWRP from the flashing instructions thread. I would recommend Blu Spark TWRP over the Chinese TWRP. There are shortcuts for the files you need in the instructions thread. If you aren't using the One Plus stock recovery you will probably go into a boot loop if you don't format the data on your phone before flashing Oreo. If you have anything important back it up off the phone because formatting data wipes everything except TWRP.

Thanks the blu spark twrp did the trick. And am now rooted with Majestic. Of course since oreo 8 is a beta it's buggy. Can't wait for a stable build.

Magisk 14.5 (code: 1456) worked for me without any issues. Also, 14.5 has some important improvements, see changelog for that. Version 14 is not compatible with Oreo.

It seems you have CWM or some such installed over the stock recovery, just flash the recovery to stock or use CWM and flash to 4.2.1 that way

Have you manually altered any system files or manually installed or overwritten a system app? That gives me the same error.

I take it when you originally flashed to CWM, you never backed up your stock recovery? If not then you can flash back to stock with the "nakasig" image from here - https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#nakasig scroll down to Nexus 7.
Same problem but not rooted
I got the same problem aswell. Altough i did never root my Nexus 7. I got this error as fast as i wanted to update the device. i have tried to push the update to it via the computer via android sdk (Manual update) It wont work. I get the error following "Assert failed: apply_patch_check (emmc:/Dev/block/platform/sdhci-tegra.3/by_name/lynx 500736" and so on. The version is "JZO54K". The Nexus 7 model is a 32 gb WIFI version. Any solution?

Indeed, available in many regions too. Will install later today but hopefully it is 6.0.1
I updated via "Sony Bridge For Mac" an hour ago. It´s not 6.0.1... it´s just improvements and small fixes. There was a notice just before I updated but I was too fast clicking past it...

Hate to re post but can you install if it showed up/downloaded ota but you are stock rooted?
Are you asking me?

I'm systemless rooted but xposed edits your system partition so no o can't lol. I just got a shock that the z3+ has seen 2 updates within a month lol
Anyone knows ftf file available yet for this 185 update? I hope we can still use the same ivy_MM_Rootable kernel.
The dev its working on New kernel but somebody tell that atual its compatible with New rom.
Systemless rooted??? How you did this?

I flashed this amazing kernel them TWRP recovery. Installed the latest SU beta. I didn't know I was systemless rooted. Difference is it doesn't touch the system partition. Meaning you can run apps that you could not if you was rooted banking, sky etc.
Yes, you can root the 32.1.A.1.185 using ivy_MM_Rootable kernel and then flashing TWRP 3.0.0 by Mortext followed by SuperSU. I followed this for mine and its up and running.
I got everything working but TWRP. I was able to flash supersu with the bootable TWRP. Nobody else with problems?

To root,
1. first you need to use Rootable kernel by @moonbutt74 from the link below by "fastboot boot" through flashtool
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z4/development/rootable-kernel-sxz3-ivy-marshsmellow-t3336607
2. Secondly, you need to flash @mortext TWRP recovery by fastboot flashing it using "cmd command prompt" by following instructions from the link below
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z4/development/twrp-xperia-z3-fota-recovery-t3346298
3. In TWRP flash Chainfire's SuperSU to get root which you need to copy to your SD before hand; link available on Moonbutt74 page.
Viola you're done!!!

Tried upgrading to N from stock and it's dropped me into a bootloop. Now looking for the OTA file to see if an adb sideload will fix the problem

May be placebo, but my wifi suffered on preview 2, now it's back to normal like it was on MM and N preview 1.

I was f***ed yesterday, and an ADB sideload is the only thing that allowed to get Android back at all.

You need the vendor.img as well .. to be safe
Try this package .. Update.ZIP_PixelC_Ryu_NPD35K-system-vendor.zip -> to be installed via TWRP.
Have a look here .. http://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-c/development/twrp-flashable-monthly-update-zip-pixel-t3375591

Seems to be working fine for me at the moment, haven't really noticed anything different from dev preview 2 though.

Yes and no, respectively. And if you were unencrypted, it will force encypt it.
But the latest SuperSU beta is already up, it's systemless, and it disables force encrypt, and removes verity.
Do existing root methods work on the official build?

I'm on Latest PureNexus Rom don't know if it's unencrypted or not. will that make any difference?
I got the OTA but damn..858.6mb. much larger than I was expecting. I guess there is more in our OTA than the ones the 6p got.

Look under Security in Settings, if it says under Encryption "Encrypt phone" then it's unencrypted.
And I certainly will not answer your second question, it would start another long fight.

Miui 9 beta for Ido.

Good news guys I found miui 9 beta for our Redmi 3/pro.
However, the bad news is it is still on 5.1.1. I collect it from miuipro. Give it a try and it is to be noted that there can be a litlle bug as it is beta version. I have not tested it yet. Use it on your own risk and share your experience in this thread.

Yes. Flash it via Twrp.
I made clean flash and restored apps from Titanium Backup. The main changes are fonts and home screen lol
But it's strange that we don't have the MIUI 9 app animation, it's still the same as Marshmallow. Same thing for recent apps
Anyway, the rim feels a little more smoother and I like a lot the new gallery interface .
If you can send us links for next release it'd be good
Yess make it clean flash i like the interface very smooth. Hope for the next improvement link
Yes very smooth but miui9 @5.1.1
