I just got a new Huawei Watch 2 (sport) and have been playing with it.
I came from a Sony SmartWatch 3, which was not eligible for the Android Wear 2.0 upgrade.
I have noticed that voice queries with Google Assistant that were able to be processed on my old watch cannot be processed on this one, and are met with a "Sorry I couldn't do that" message.
Simple requests such as "Show me the score from the (insert team name) game" don't work, whereas on my old watch a card with the current score and time left in the game would pop up.
Asking the watch to "Open Waze App" is met with the same response.
I have this watch and a Samsung Gear S3 that I am trying to decide on which to keep, and the primary dissatisfaction w/ the Samsung watch was the Tizen lack of accessibility to Google Assistant. But if the assistant isn't working like it should it negates the whole purpose of having this watch.
Any ideas, or is this the new "normal" with Android Wear?
Did you ever solve this? I have the same issue

I went to Google I/O 2014, and got the LG G watch. I also got an email with links to enable my google account as a tester of a few apps (google play services, and a couple of others) (a requirement to get the watch working immediately.)
Here's part of the emailSpeaking of 'what's next', you may recall that we've secured a watch powered by Android Wear for you to take home. You can choose either the LG G Watch or the Samsung Gear Live. To get the most out of your Android Wear device during Google I/O, follow these instructions to get the latest Google Play services and supporting apps for your devices running Android 4.3 or higher. Starting tomorrow, you'll be able to download the SDK and begin exploring here. Please pick up your watch from the Device Pickup stand on the 1st floor between 7am-5pm tomorrow, June 26.
Everything worked fine, but now I've seen Google Play Services crash on my phone several times over the last week, so I want to get off the beta/test track.
Problem is, the link in the email now just points to regular Wear documentation. Anyone know how I can see the list of apps I'm beta on, and how to change it?
I've googled everything I can think of.
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
I share a Gmail account which has some task lists within it - and I'd like to be able to look up outstanding tasks on my smartwatch (LG G Watch R). Ideally I'd also like to do the same thing with some task lists in an Microsoft Exchange account - but this is less pressing.
I know there is a multitude of tasklist / to-do apps out there - but I'd like to use the existing task lists I have.
I know that CalenGoo can sync with Google Tasks - however I couldn't find a way of browsing these task lists on the smartwatch (at least not within the 15 minute refund period!).
I have also seen TinyTasks (both on XDA and in the Play store), which sounds ideal - but doesn't look like it works with Google Wear devices (unless I'm mistaken).
What I'd like is an app on the smartwatch that I can open that will show me all my task lists (from this shared Google Account, or an Exchange account), let me browse through the (incomplete) tasks in each list, and then mark them as done.
I've tried searching, but the keywords "google", "wear" and "tasks" are wayyyy to generic to pin-point what I'd like - if it exists.
Does anyone know of an app that will do this?
Same here - looking for same app/funcionality.
Same for me
Full Todo List App on Wear but not for GOOGLE TASKS !!! Google not compatible with Google system ? I found this incredible
I have Google Task on my pebble : PebbleNotes, on my Sony SW2 : Tiny Task, but nothing for the Google Wear OS...
I came here looking for just this. Does anyone know of any app that will support Google tasks? I dont want to use anything else and its the one functionality I bought my smartwatch for!!
No, of course Google OS is NOT COMPATIBLE with Google Apps
Use TickTick if you want and leave Google Task....
help
I am using Keep to record my notes from Sony Smartwatch 3, but I really prefer using Google Tasks. I hope someone finds a way to use it and posts it here. Thanks.
I tried ticktick but I dont like it as much... I really just like Google tasks and I use gTasks. Anyway, I emailed the dev of gtasks - he said it's on the list but don't expect it any time soon. Maybe if more people expressed their desire he might do it sooner? Email: Support (a)t gtasks (dot) me
Is there a lot of work in making this happen? If anyone else finds a workaround please let me know - I really want this for my watch!
Now I'm using Samsung Gear. I will wait 3 or 4 years before Wear became an usable OS
GTask works on Watch : Android, Samsung Tizen, Sony SW, pebble. Just the Google Wear OS where Google Task do not works
I got it working
Ok I figure out a workaround, but it works great
Basically you need to use Zapier and Evernote. Evernote has a working Android wear app, and Zapier can copy any notes to Google tasks.. Start a new Zap from Evernote to add task to Google tasks. When adding the zap you have to play around - you put "Content Text" in the "Title" box - but it works perfectly!
The limit on the free accounts is 100 zaps per month - and it refreshes every 15 mins - but thats enough for me for now!
Hope that might help some people with the same problem...
I have multiple Nvidia Shield TV's (with Chromecast built-in). When I set them up initially, they both were there and showing up with the menu that allowed me to disable/enable personal results. I can see the televisions in other menus within the google home app just now the one under "more settings". I purchased a few nest cams and could not use their full functionality. When I searched Google's help, I found out that the reason why the nest cameras did not work was because I had already set up an account with nest thermostats. I had to unlink then relink the account and that's when I lost the TV's.
The reason why I need the TV's to show up in the menu is because when I initially set up the television I ran through the set up. By default, personal results are on and I would like to turn it off. If the TV's don't show up in the "more settings>device" section then there is no where else I can go to turn it off. I've tried a number of things:
1. Factory reset cell phone, camera's, thermostats, and nividia shield (and everything that was smart home related in the google home app) and started from scratch.
2. I went into my google dashboard and deleted all data related not only to the nvidia shield but all devices linked to my account.
3. Renamed the TV's to see if they would pop up and be recognized as something new or different since they had a new name
4. Logged in with another google account (which gives only partial features since it's split across two accounts)
5. Moving all components onto a different network (guest network)
Again, the reason why I want this is because my personal results are showing up on the televisions no matter who gives the command. The Android TV's do not work like the Google Home units where they can distinguish between your voice and offer up personalized results. The TV's work only with 1 account. I do not want someone saying, "what's on my schedule for tomorrow" or " show me pictures of Tiffany " and it accesses my account and post it up on the television.
Please help. Thank you.
P.S. and yes I contacted Google's support, online, over the phone, and even through chat via web and pixel 2 xl. It was useless. Not one of them really understood what I was explaining and all they did was read verbatim exactly what the help file said that they pulled up, which had nothing to do with my issue.
P.P.S. I've been trying to find the solution for the past 15 days, the hardest part is to find online help because when you do a search for "Google Home app" or "home app" it gives you results on the Google Home unit or Apple nonsense about their home app.
Finally, I've learnt how to make watch faces for Wear OS. I even made a few and uploaded in the Play Store.
The only way finding my watch face is using the link in the Play Console.
I can also find some of my own watch faces if I search for the exact app name. Otherwise it doesn't show up in the Play Store.
There is no point in seaching the app name and finding it. Who would do that anyway?
I also make watch faces for Tizen OS and I can find my own watch faces in the Galaxy Store under the Watch Faces category. The same thing doesn't work with Google Play Store.
There must be something I am not doing when registering the app. I don't know what. I even renamed all my watch faces and added the words "watch face" at the end of every app name. That didn't work so far.
I also opted in and checked the Wear OS tick box in the release type. I even selected the "watch face" under personalization. The watch face is live but no downloads at all.
I will be glad if anyone can help me about this. I searched the whole internet, asked few people but I coundn't find a solution...
Thank You...
EDIT: My Galaxy Watch 4 is under my devices in the Play Store. The watch is also paired with my phone. I also cannot find my watch face on the phone or on the watch when I search for "watch face" or by going in the watch faces category.
Here is the name of my watch face: Stick Men Fight Watch Face. Let me see if anyone can find it.
Did you solve this problem? I made watch faces using SAMSUNG's Watch Face Studio and I had the same problem, I could only search for my faces by full name on the Play Store PC website, but couldn't find it on the Play Store on my phone. I don't think anyone but myself will see these watch faces.

I haven't solved it and I don't think there is a solution. Google wants money to advertise. I said okay I will pay. I opened a Google Ads account. Did all the settings entered a debit card number. The next day they told me my account was blocked because of suspicious payment. I sent them emails but always bots replied. No humans. Anyway, the reason for the suspicious payment is this>> They tried to draw money from my account but there wasn't enough money in it. But they told me, I was going to pay after I advertise. They tried to draw money anyway. Now they are blaming me for suspicious payment. Skynet doesn't want to reactivate my account.. Because of that, I have only sold 13 watch faces in 3 months. 3 of them were refunded but that's not the problem.
I have 17 watch faces in the play store now. I still cannot find them without entering the full name and that doesn't even work properly. Anyway here is the name of one of my watch faces. " Stick Men Fight Watch Face". I search it on the PC in Play Store, on the watch or on the Phone. I just can't find it. If I search for it on the Google Search, then I can find the same one in the Galaxy Store because I made the same thing for Galaxy Store. Also I found this in the last search I made. https://steprimo.com/android/us/app/com.watchface.AnimatedStickMenFight/Stick-Men-Fight-Watch-Face/ I don't know who put my watch face on their website. By the way you can see my other watch faces after going to play store from the same page.
I would like to see one of your watch faces if you don't mind...
This was my first time to upload apps on Play Store, and to be honest, it wasn't easy.
I found some information on the Samsung forum, someone said that you need to create a companion app to increase exposure, because the watch face is just a watch app, so it won't be shown on Play Store on your phone by default, and it also will not be on the top list, you can refer to these threads:

Google play wear os companion app
I don’t understand how this companion app works, buyers are making a refund because the watch face does not appear on the watch. Only the mobile app is installed. As I understand it, the buyer does not have a choice on which device to download before installation. Why is this happening?

Hello.
Our Wear OS application, which is not a standalone application (it is a companion app of our smartphone app, it cannot be used without the smartphone app) keeps getting rejected by Google Play Policy team for the following reason : "Your application requires phone interaction for the watch version to function." even if we have clearly explained in our Play Store description that it is not a standalone application and cannot work when the smartphone app is not available.
Our application was previously accepted and published on the Play Store but we suspect a Google policy change even if we haven't found it clearly anywhere (we have only found recommendations which encourage standalone apps).
=> Are not-standalone Wear OS apps still allowed for Play Store submission or must our Wear OS app include at least a standalone feature ?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards
I am not sure, but I know there are some apps that are embedded in the phone app to deploy to a WearOS watch (like the Hyundai Blue Link App and the Genesis Intelligent Connect App). If your phone is paired with a WearOS watch, it loads the app onto the phone. Maybe you can try something like that.
Funny thing is the apps right now do not load the app to the Watch4. I think it is because the Watch4 is on WearOS4. I had a different watch at one time that was plain Jane WearOS and the app loaded just fine. I am looking for Hyundai/Genesis to correct this issue. I hope.
I also got a wear os companion app update reject on 6.Jul. My last update was successful on 30.May.2022. Did not see any policy regarding to the companion app issue. It is just weird and I have also appealed to get more info. Did you appeal the reject?
