android O / Oreo

Hey... Google announced the oreo after a long wait.... When we can expect android o development for our device....

Respected Developers there is a phone known as motorolla G4 play which has the same chipset snapdragon 410 and they have ported and successfully booted android O.

This is the post and the initial post didnt booted but later releases have booted and github sources are there.
I hope this post might help with something for the developers for booting android O on our devcie.

Seems like every developer has abandoned our device sadly.... ? .. which means.... No oreo roms untill lineages15 ...

Won't happen for a simple reason - the source code for the nougat version hasn't been released and since we are already on oreo why bother

Oxygen os is a modified version of android if any dev want to build an oos themed rom he can

Yes, its possible with a port. But it will be buggy and there is no guarantee if all the bugs will be fixed or not.

idk about these stuff. All I know is that the device which you are porting from should have specifications close to your device. There are some other factors too which needs to be considered.
There are some XDA guides for porting. You can check them out.

I wouldn't have those hopes. Porting ROMs is quite different than GSIs. You may check out few guides on XDA about porting ROMs, and you will hopefully understand the difference between them.
