hi there,
ive installed the latest official rom for my G950F (PHN 20 Nov) now i flashed the latest TWRP with odin but TWRP wont work anymore....i get a blue screen with the androidman telling me it's updating and then the message "no commend" (or something like that).
how can i solve this so i can use TWRP.....to install a new rom????
i tried to flash TWRP with odin as usual, like i always do but now my phone goes into bootloop with in red "recovery is not saeandroid" or something like that...
what do i do wrong??? i have G950F with G950FXXU1AQK7 original ROM (latest Nov security patch), if i flash an original rom from sept i cant also flash TWRP with odin, it just wont work anymore....
Hard reset and check if oem is unlocked
I get the message in downloadmode "Custom Binary (Recovery) Blocked by FAP Lock....."
finally now i know that after i flashed TWRP i needed an old bootloader....:silly::silly::silly: so problem is solved thnks to DJRAZ.....

Hi Guys,
trying to flash a custom Rom on my Note 3. It is a UK model supplied by EE but is unbranded.
Flashed several phones before, just running into some issues this time round.
Got my Rom, Autoroot, CWM and Odin downloaded.
Flash Autoroot with Odin - no problem.
Flash CWM with Odin - no problem - until i try to boot into recovery anyway.
No error message etc on Odin but when i try to boot into recovery it keeps saying "cannot do normal boot" and puts me into download mode.
I can get to download mode to reflash and have tried TWRP with the same results.
It is saying "custom binary" when in download mode, and my Knox counter has tripped to 1 (phone out of warranty so not fussed).
Ive searched online and cannot find a thread where they actually manage to sort the problem.
Presumably what I want to do (install a custom Rom) is not impossible as there are so many Roms etc available for the Note 3, I am just a bit stuck as to my next step.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Use TWRP or Philz Recovery .
Thanks for the reply JJEgan, I tried Twrp also to the same effect. I did try Cwm first though, is this a common thing when using Cwm or have I done something wrong?
Im going to flash a stock 4.4.2 from SamUK and try again from scratch to see if it made a difference coming from 4.4.2 instead of 5.0 and then TWRP
Hi everybody Guys I need some help think I gone crazy My S8 950f Get bootlooping in Samsung S8 logo with red letters above it says only oficial binaries allowed. Something like that. I go to Odin To restore it back to stock with stock firmware 8.0 and Odin says fail when start to flash boot IMG when I see this I almost start to cry and we'll I tried so many firmware and Any does seems to work Now I got Beautiful 350 bucks brick phone. Somebody know what it's happening?
In the download screen says sv firmware check fail Bootloader
(Sorry for my bad English I using Google translate)
Please help
donot worry its a soft brick.. flash twrp and as soon as odin say successful and phone turns off imediately prss bixby + power+vol up....it will take you to recovery....download a rom and flash it
Just a question, but did you put your device into download mode before trying to flash via Odin?
It´s like said soft bricked, so any official stock Rom should work with Odin.
No need to flash TWRP first as each official ROM comes with stock recovery and will overwrite TWRP anyway when flashing it. But you of course can give it a try. If you can´t flash a firmware for some reason, i would try a different one. The one you are having might be corrupted.
hi
ive got a s8, which was rooted using magisk, but was having issue, so was advised to unroot, remote and try superSU instead.
in the process of flashing stock rom AND 8.0, the phone now boots up to black screen showing verification failed, only option to reset.
when i press reset, all it does is restarts, loads up TWRP which had been installed before,
TWRP runs some program and fails and then phone goes back to black screen showing verification failed.
ive booted it into download mode, in the hope that i can just start again by simply lashing fresh stock rom, but it connects to odin fine, but when i click start, it gives a red error every time.
so i cant access the standard recovery menu as ive got TWRP so that loads instead and it looks as that is corrupted and i cant flash new fresh rom from download as odin brings up issue
ive check another phone and there is no issue with odin or the usb-c cable,
there is an issue with the s8 and odin does not like something in the s8 so wont let me flash anything to it,
any advice would be greatly appreicated.
When you flashed the stock rom using odin did you flash a bootloader aswell as the rom or did you just flash the rom the problem might be that the bootloader was for pie and the rom is oreo or vice versa whenever I flash back to stock I fill all but one of the boxes in odin
i suspect it was all oreo, as i downloaded as a complete file but ill check and get back to you
thanks for advice.
Yesterday I tried root my S8 (SM-G950FD) and I made the mistake of not allowing system modifications before flashing because I misinterpreted a guide. I flashed the no-verity zip and Magisk. The phone booted successfully and magisk was installed. Then I went to reboot into recovery to change some TWRP settings IE: Brightness. Then my phone said "Only officially released binaries are allowed to be flashed." That left me unable to boot my phone and also made it unable to boot into recovery. The only thing I can boot my phone into is download mode. I've tried flashing some stock roms that are 7.0 to remove the prenormal lock but they failed. I happened to make a TWRP backup before flashing but I can't use TWRP because of the official binary stuff. I'm wondering if I use the nand erase all option if that will let me flash the 7.0 stock roms then boot into TWRP and restore my backup or if they is way to convert the backup into something that Odin can flash. Does anybody know any confirmed methods to solve my problem?

You will need to flash the same or higher version of Android to fix official binary error. Use default settings in Odin.
You cannot.flash earlier versions of Android if your bootloader is lower than what is on your phone ( 5th number from right of firmware name ). If in doubt flash the latest version.
Then I went to reboot

And i same problems "Only officially released binaries are allowed to be flashed"

Ok so in few minutes from now the rom will be finished downloading. When that is done what version of Odin should I use and what files should place in Odin. I know this may seem stupid to ask but I'm not going to let myself make anymore stupid decisions after not installing the rmm bypass.
Quick Update, the rom finished downloading. I wasn't able to flash it. It gave me the error that the Bootloader had: 4 and the binary had 3... I was able to flash cp by itself tho and that set the system status to samsung official but the binary status is still custom. That made it so my phone only booted into a "Update failed screen use smart switch" screen ( I've tried smart switch before it doesn't detect my device). I can still get it back into recovery and flash old cps to get it to turn off without bootlooping into the smart switch screen. I'm wondering if I flash csc to factory reset if that will help at all. Guys what do I do??
Excuse my language but I ****ING DID IT!!! I don't know this worked but I am going to roughly call my process. So flashing the stock rom initially failed. I flashed then CP which for some reason always works and then AP which began but failed. This set the binary text to "Samsung Official", system status was still ****ed as custom. So I restored the cp and ap(?) from the crgb oreo files posted here. Then I flashed cp that passed, then csc which passed and then tried AP. After some time... It passed. The phone rebooted. The official binary bull**** was gone from the bootscreen and the phone booted into recovery. It installed some sys update stuff up to 30$ then erased some things which took awhile. Then the phone booted into initial setup and I now have ACCESS TO MY PHONE AGAIN!!!
For anyone interested in what FW I flashed PM me.
I'm not a complete noob, but also haven't done anything regarding phone flashing in a while and this technology seems to change very quickly, so hard to keep up....
The Issue
I cant get into Recovery (Power + Bixby + Vol Up), my phone just shows the Samsung Logo and stays that way.
Forward
I have a SM-G950FD
I have no clue what the CSC code is
I am able to get into Download mode
I have a recent backup of EFS, CPEFS, and RADIO partitions
Odin does detect my phone
OEM Lock is OFF
What I did
I cant remember the sequence of events very well, just that I was on Nougat (I think) and wanted to try newer roms
I tried LightROM ([Samsung][ROM][PIE][9.0][13-July-2019][S8_S8+_F_FD][v21]LightROM.zip) which worked OK but I found out I wasn't rooted
So after using TWRP to flash a few more things, like SuperSU and still not getting a rooted device I decided to try a different CFW
I tried to install (hadesRom_PIE_Stock_v9.0.zip) from TWRP (This did not boot into the ROM)
I then tried (BatStock-Rom_SM-G95XF_V1.2.0.zip) from TWRP (tHis also did not boot into the ROM)
I then probably tried a few other things...
My phone now only starts with Samsung logo screen, and I cant get to Recovery/TWRP
Messing with ODIN
Only thing here is that I tried to install the latest version of TWRP with ODIN. While the flash succeeds, I still cannot get to Recovery.
I probably did try an older version of TWRP first (such as twrp-3.2.1-0-dreamlte.img.tar)
and I probably tried an older version of ODIN earlier too (Odin3_v3.12.5)
Last thing I tried was to flash latest TWRP (twrp-3.3.1-0-dreamlte.img.tar) with the latest ODIN (Odin3_v3.13.1)
Anything I can do to get TWRP back?
Thanks so much to everyone who keeps up with this stuff
Ok, made some progress. In order to repair phone, just need to use ODIN to flash (AP, BL, CP, & CSC) via Official Samsung 7.0 Nougat ROM.
Then after I install TWRP (twrp-3.2.1-0-dreamlte.img.tar) phone goes into bootloop.
Re-installing 7.0 Nougat to repair recovery.
Is there a magic combination to installing PIE + TWRP + SuperSU ?
Downloaded a 9.0 Pie Samsung Official from Austria (G950FXXU5DSFB_G950FODX5DSF1_MAX.zip) and Installing.
This guide looks promising https://www.androidinfotech.com/root-samsung-galaxy-s8-sm-g950f-pie/ . . .
the guide was very helpful. I now have Android 9.0 Pie + TWRP + Magisk (instead of supersu)

next I will attempt a Pie Custom ROM....
