hi yesterday i was trying to install a custom rom but because im new in this kind of stuff i did something wrong so all in detail:
first i rooted my phone and downloaded rom of resurrection (nougat) and downloaded the opengapp
Then downloaded the official twrp from play store and that's where i did wrong
i opened the twrp and even though i didn't really know how to use it i tried to do stuff on my own without any idea i dont really remember what i did but i clicked on twrp flash and chose my device and downloaded both .tar and .img files both downloaded successfuly
after installing files i clicked on reboot from menu and there was boot system and boot recovery i dont remember which one i clicked exactly but probably the system one so the phone turned off
and the Android system recovery 3e came up where at the bottom it says dm-veriety vertification failed and i tried to reboot system now and tried all the stuff on this screenapplying update from ADB and external storage is disabled and from cache is deprecated
so i found some stuff online about odin and how to install with it tried but it gave error complete(write) failed
i didn't open the USB debugging i dont know if the odin problem occurs because of that
i know i should have watched how to use twrp properly but i didnt
i know the whole thing is messy but please someone help me

hey guys, im back with stupid questions...
I wanted to upgrade my Nexus 7 32gb UMTS to 4.3 and used the Nexus 7 Toolkit (by Mark Skippen).
I was on a custom Rom and wanted to get back to Stock, so i could just use the update process by Google.
Downloading and Installing the ROM (including wipe of user data) by the Toolkit seemed to work and didnt show any error messages.
As is tried to boot my device into Android I got stuck in the bootloader.
When I tried to start it, a small white message "Booting failed" appeared in the top left corner. Nothing else happend.
I did everything again, no changes.
Next step was to google for a few mins, then I tried to install a custom recovery via Toolkit (which worked) and install a zip-file Rom via sideload.
Connection was there, the files got pushed onto the device but then "An Error Occured" popped up and everything stopped.
Installing a zip via usb-otg seemed promising, but this got me errors like "unable to mount /system" and "unable to mount /cache"...
when I tried to reboot from TWRP or ClockwordMod Recovery (tried the earlier described things with both recovieres) I got a message saying
"there is no OS installed, are you sure you want to reboot?"
Please help me, I really dont know how to fix this and I will need my Nexus 7 in 2 days (thats why I tried to reinstall and polish everything )
thanks for your help, I really appreciate it
Edit: tl;dr
Stuck in fastboot, no OS is installed. sideload / installing ROM via ADB / installing ROM via usb-otg doenst work, most certainly because /system and /cache cant be mounted
so AFAIK the real problem is that I cant mount those partitions, otherwise I could install a ROM and get out of fastboot/recovery easily. (just mounting them in custom recoveries didnt work btw)

Well . what you can try for now is download the latest factory images and flash them manually via fastboot .. See how that turns out. You can install any ROM via fastboot .. No issues what so ever.
In the factory images there will be a bootloader IMG.. Flash that first and then flash the remaining images ( I suggest manually or via the .bat or .sh files ) and then see if you can boot up android. Mostly should be possible.
And did you try rebooting inspire of the message " no is installed " appearing on the screen ? Maybe it will boot a ROM ? I remember facing this message after just flashing a rom sometimes. So don't worry.
As long as you have access too fast boot everything can be fixed at least w.r.t software.

Hi,
I'm at my wits end. I had SlimRom installed for a week and all was fine, but I was curious about what new ROMs were out there so I backed up my phone using ROM Manager and did all the usual stuff to get a new ROM. I installed Gummy, but didn't like it; I installed one other ROM that I can't remember its name, but also didn't like that. I realized my comfy home of SlimRom was where I wanted to be, so I tried to flash the backup.zip that I had created but it kept saying installation aborted (Status 0).
After hours of countless attempts and just weird behaviour (sometimes boot loops, sometimes not booting into recovery, etc.) I finally got my phone back to stock.
I downloaded the latest SlimRom file 3 times to make sure it wasn't a corrupt zip (twice from my PC and once from my phone directly). Both the zip directly from Slim as well as the backup.zip that I made with ROM Manager give me the same installation aborted. The other error it gives is "E: Error in /data/media/0/slim....zip". I'm wondering if somehow my partition is screwed up. I tried using Odin's repartition, which just erased my recovery partition, but I got that back thankfully! When I wipe data/factory reset it says wipe complete (and the ROM does reset to factory) but it also says "E:unknown volume '/sdcard/.android_secure' "...I'm wondering if that relates to why the backup.zip file won't read properly. Maybe the partition got screwed up somehow?
I can flash a SU zip so it's not a flashing problem, per se. And thankfully Odin always works!
I think I may need the stock PIT file for the Telus S4 l337m
UPDATE:
I think I found the proper pit (SGS-I337_16GB) but my phone says "secure check fail: pit".
I am on 6.0.1 CyanogenMod13. I haven't done a whole lot root-wise but just today I was looking to get something from xposed and it turned out I didn't even have it installed, so I downloaded it and installed it but needing to flash the .zip I tried to boot into TWRP recovery. Somehow it got uninstalled or something because I could only get into the LG stock screen asking if I wanted to wipe everything. So I tried to install TWRP using Flashify, I installed and on the reboot it gave me a "Can't Enter Recovery Or Update" and some more things about it on the top left above the boot logo. I can't do anything recovery-wise. I'm looking to sell my G2 but I want to make it stock or at least a clean install and I can't do any of that. What can I do??

This got me down to 4.4.2 but when trying to install TWRP it gives me the same Boot certification error and I can't
EDIT: I used AutoRec on 4.4.2 and I have TWRP working!
ya i dunno wtf i did i have a sprint note 3 i rooted it with odin and have twrp 3.1.1-0
was trying to flash omega 27 rom that i downloaded onto the phone cuz i dont have a sd card... went in twrp .... swiped to factory reset then wiped dalvik, system, data, and cache
then i went to install... selected the zip and swiped to install .... goes to some text screen about skipping md5 check no md5 file found then is says starting aroma installer version 2.70rc2 then it sits there about 30 seconds then restarts and just stays on the samsung galaxy note 3 screen... ive let it sit there for like over 30 mins to see if something would happen but it just sits there and does nothing
i can get into twrp and downloader mode.... if there isnt some kind of relatively easy fix im just gonna smash the phone into the street as hard as i possibly can about 10 or so times then pick up whatever pieces i find and continuously bash them with my hammer untill i am satisfied..... so am i screwed or is this fixable???
I just tried to flash the ROM again... This tim I checked the box for zip signature verification which I didn't do before when it goes to the install process it says zip signature verification failed
Also i try to reboot to system from recovery its telling me there is no OS installed...

This is what happens when one decide to do things without searching, reading and learning.
Don't use TWRP newer than v2.8.7 if you plan to flash a custom rom that uses Aroma Installer.
This problem has been addressed thousands of times on this forum.
And by what magic do you want your phone to boot when you have already wiped all partitions ?!
so i tried to flash my s7 edge which is a carrier version and i did a few mistakes
first i used a twrp image that was meant for Another device it just failed (these files should be labelled)
second i forgot to set oem unlocking to on trying to do this afterwards crashed the settings app so i had to do a factory reset to make it work
anyway after these mistakes i kept getting various errors on the phone when i tried to boot into the bootloader i got an error bcb or pcb failed to clear eror misc partition missing something
when i finally got into downloading mode correctly i was able to flash twrp but odin was stuck on reset so i forced the phone to reboot and then suddenly it said passed and i was able to enter recovery mode, then i was unable to do a full format in twrp something about files not unmounting, in the end i was able to flash twrp on it and then flash lineage Everything works, so my question is am i safe?
my second question is regarding gapps aroma package, what apps are safe to not include, what can i safely choose if i want literally nothing but the playstore, i don't want the browser that comes with lineage i don't want the email app, i don't want the calculator nothing, i don't want any app that i can easily download from the playstore, i don't want Text to speech either, if so i want to reformat and reflash with the aroma package and just choose as Little as i safely can, if it or an app with the same function can be downloaded from the playstore then i don't want it from the setup process
EDIT i may have posted this in the wrong section please move it for me to the appropriate section
