OMFG people I just got mine and I'm in love. I just hope it works.
Right now it is charging. It fits wonderfully, it comes with 3 ear tips in small medium and large.
What I like most about it besides the fit is the little charging case. You can charge the headset....and charge the case....so you can charge the headset with the case without the cord...PEOPLE. The charging case has its own battery. HOT DAYUM
Well and you want know another reason why I like it....
Why? Well any of you who have a Jawbone know why. The case will protect the speaker assembly from BREAKING OFF!
OK what's in the box. You get the headset, USB charger, AC charger and charging case along with the manual and the three ear tips.
Again, it feels great, worth the dough. Now I'll put it through it's paces on calls tomorrow to let you know how it sounds and how my callers say it sounds. But I just had to post about the fit, charging case and quality.
Plantronics 925 Performance
I've been on a search for months to find a bluetooth headset that will deliver good sound to the user when paired with the Tilt.
I've tried many headsets including the orginal and the new Jawbones and others.
The best headsets that I have found so far are the Plantronics 655 and the new 925. I have also, to a lesser degree, found the Motorola H12 to be acceptable.
Both the Plantronics are comfortable to wear, deliver on the user end sound quality approaching that of what most other phones deliver and the people on the receiving end can hardly tell that I'm using a headset.
The Motorola H12 is still better than most headsets that I've tried but I still give the edge to Plantronics for both noise cancellation and richness in sound quality on the user end.
Between the 655 and the 925, out of the box, I would give the edge to the925. The 655 delivers equally good (if not slightly better sound) on both ends but the 925 fits better in the ear and the button ergonomics are better. (Note: The 655, for me, when used with the provided ear hook and a little superglue to keep the ear gel from coming off works great as well.)
Hey guys!
Has anyone else experienced a faulty audio jack on their Xperia Play? The speakers work great, but when I plug into the headphone jack, it sounds very strange, like one of the channels isn't going though. When playing Michael Jackson, I can pretty much only hear the music without any vocals...
Also, I bought it from Best Buy, and apparently they said that they don't cover the phone after 30 minutes of use or something ridiculous like that... I was wondering if there was any way of resetting the minutes usage.
Cheers!
Your headphones are most likely not plugged in far enough.

Nope... I've tried 3 different headphones and plugged them in as much as I could. Unless the body has faulty construction and is not allowing me to plug it in all the way.
Have you tried both handsfree and standard stereo headphones? I haven't had any problems with either on my phone but I thought it was quite interesting that the supplied headset didn't work properly in other 3.5 mm jacks where other handsfree sets work.

I got my S4 few days, since my car able for Bluetooth audio, so its working fine on my car, but today I took my car for service, and I am using my s4 with aux cable on the loaner car, I found out that the sound was terrible, with lot of noise distortions, with it. when I back to office I am testing the aux cable with iphone 5, galaxy note II, and galaxy S4, only S4 have problem, and then I test it on my wife car, same thing, I guess I have a defective S4, does anyone having the same problems?

I am actually noticing some distortion on my S4 as well when using headphones. It is fine over BT in my car but when in the gym there is like a crackling noise sometimes. Tried different headphones and get the same result.
Did you find anything out? Defective device?

This is a known issue in Qualcomm powered S4s. Id contact Samsung for a replacement.

Thanks for posting this. This nose in the link is exactly what I am hearing from two different headphones from the same manufacturer, meelectronics. However when I use my wifes iPhone headphones or connect to her car via aux cable the sound output is fine.
I think I will try and return my phone to best buy for an exchange. ..

I did try couple phone already from ATT...While I am using headset is fine. Just having problems on aux cable. But after I am using noise reducing aux cable. It working fine. And I guess all s4 have same problem. You may just try to get noise reducing aux cable first before exchanging your phone. ..because you will get refurbished phone for exchange. .

Well I bought my phone from Best Buy, they have a 15 day return policy. I was on day 16 but they were kind enough to swap me for a new phone. I also have their Geek Squad protection so I could have gone that route as well. From the article it looks like its hit or miss on which handsets are affected. The new one I got is not affected and has no headset static unlike my old one. Guess I got lucky.
Great success!

That would make sense as the distortion effect apparently has to do with the impedance on audio devices. Low impedance devices are experiencing the issue. Find out what the Ω Ohm measurement is on the headphones from meelectronics. I know the Apple headphones are Ω23 so it is higher impedance thus not experiencing the issue.
Mine breaks I had to clean with proper alcohol the jack port and connector. No issues so far since then. I'm worried that would be damaged!

ahh, you're right, from the meelec.com website both my headphones show 16 ohms, not sure how to make the Omega or whatever sign that is.
Just noticed this thread while browsing the forums for the international S4

Safe to say that this is a major issue and Samsung will need to confront it at one point or another.
Yes I had this issue and luckily was able to get it replaced under warranty at ATT

Did the new one exhibit the same issues? This is supposedly an issue that effects any and all GTI9505 variants. Whether or not you hear it depends on the setup you use to listen to music off of the device.

Was the phone being charged? If so, that for some reason is the source of the problem. It worked on the galaxy s4 and LG G2.
I just picked up a G2 to replace my broken HTC One M7.
I love the phone but when I connect it to my car stereo using an Aux cable, I hear hissing and interference during quiet portions of music. I do not hear it using headphones. The cable is high quality and with my HTC the sound was flat out amazing, pure clear output with additional noise. I connected my wife's Iphone 5s and my daughters Galaxy S4 using the cable and they sounded fine also.
Any thoughts or ideas on this? Really mars an otherwise fantastic phone experience....

I'm having the same problem..
But I've not repaired it yet..
I'm using Bluetooth headset instead of using Audio Jack.
