Switch to Stock Kernel - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions & Answer

Hi,
I am on ROOTED G935U with eng-kernel. thanks to hard work of all devs and this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/tm...eres-how-rooted-nougat-s7-edge-g935t-t3567502
My question is can I flash stock kernel (not modified one/without root) from FlashFire. What I want is to gain root, make few apps system apps with few tweaks and then switch to stock kernel for better performance. I know we have custom ROM from jrkruse which does the similar thing. (https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-s7-edge/development/rom-t3572739). I need help with creating the flashable flashfire stock kernel zip or any other way we can achieve it.
Thanks for your suggestion in advance.

Help needed for modding

Hi guys,
please give me a helping hand as I want to flash some mods to my i9500. I am on XWUBMG7 with CSC: OLB (Thailand).
I want to keep stock ROM to debloat it myself and apply some changes.
Kernel should stay untouched.
So, my idea is to root the phone with this method of pre-rooted multifiles: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317105
After that, flash TWRP and install 3Minit framework: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2283684
The 3Minit framework requires a deodexed ROM, thats why I can't easily root with CF auto root.
But at the moment, the pre-rooted files from the link above are not available in my XWUBMG7 (which I dont want to change at the moment as I might run into problems with not matching CSC).
If I root with CF Auto root, my ROM is still odexed.
I found a method to deodex your own ROM here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2213235
But I am not sure if this is sufficient. I can't see if the ROM will be zip-aligned as well (besides that I don't know if it is beyond my skills), which I want it to be performance-wise.
So, any idea how I can achieve a deodexed XWUBMG7 in Odin-flashable format for the i9500?
It seems that the pre-rooted files would be the easiest way for me to reach my goal as I can keep everything and only have to Odin-flash the ROM as PDA and am done.
Thanks in advance for your advices.
Kind regards
Dirk

While I understand your point....isn't it easier to flash a deodexed zipaligned prerooted rom with stock theme?? There are so many roms now.....
In general you are right. I studied them and found that the ROM-cookers removed some features that I want. Besides that the description of them ROMs is sometimes insufficient for just trying. TW and stock ROM is fine for me.
Example: Wanam lite is actually fine. But the app to customize doesn't have the features I want (e.g. disable icon of blocking mode in the status bar). Omega rom removed the nfc payment, which I like to maintain. ...
All roms have their good and bad aspects. For me, I want to stay with stock.

prerooted Firmware without bloatware [SGP611]

Hey guys,
does anyone have a bloatware-free prerooted ROM for the SGP611 ?
A guide for creating this ROM would be helpful.
Best regards
xhardcoreunit
or sgp621 thanks!
A flashable .ftf-file would be the best solution.
Actually seems no one have built a debloated rom, but you can easily flash this script on top of your stock rooted rom.
Thanks!
The script worked perfectly for me, but i did some changes to keep Google Chrome and delete the Playstation App.:good:

[n9005] Deodexed stock rom or how to deodex my rom then setup xposed

Hi there,
I know this may have been asked so many times but I'm completly lost with all the differents ROMs
I like my current ROM :
android 5.0
bb: N9005XXUGBOD1
version LRX21V.N9005XXUGBOF1
rooted
recovery : twrp
I want xposed framework and I read I need a deodexed rom before.
But I don't want to install custom ROM, I don't need any fancy stuff or other, I like my current ROM.
Can anyone tell me how I could do that ?
Backup my own ROM with twrp then JoelDroid deodexer it then restore this file ? Would this work ?
Or where could I get the deodexed version of my ROM ?
I wish I could not loose any app or setting or file.
Thanks for any hints.

xposed lollipop stock

Hi, i'm sorry if this thread seems noobish but i just got my s5(sm-g900f) today and i'm new to these things.. I want to keep my stock rom while having xposed installed on it. I've read that it causes bootloops on stock rom so there are some unofficial version for deodexed roms... I don't know how to extract my stock rom to use in these automatic tools that deodex it.. Can anyone help?

deodexed Android 6.0.1

Does anyone have a deodexed android 6.0.1 version, because i want to downgrade to marshmallow and i want to use xposed, which needs a doedexed rom. I tried an guide to deodex, but i hadn't success...It's to hard for me. Thanks for your help!
not really, all I did was unlock bootloader, install twrp, root and flash xposed on the stock rom. don't think you need a deodexed rom.

Use Fulmics Deodexer, works just fine.
Thanks, i have done it this way: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-systemless-xposed-t3388268
And thanks for the deodexer!
So it seems like you need a deodexed rom for Xposed to run properly. But i haven't deodexed my rom and it still runs fine with Xposed.
I also don't use gravity box, so maybe that's why i haven't run into problems yet
