I successfully unlocked the bootloader and installed twrp.
The I installed the fulmics rom and when i did a reboot, the phone asked for my password but the UX did not let me enter it and kept closing.
I rebooted to twrp and tried to reflash fulmics.
The hell broke loose. I did not have access to onternal storage. Now I have only twrp and when i try to install anything else nothing hapens.
Is there a way to restore a workable condition?
Flash a stock kdz and start over
Thanks. I just did that and all went ok.

Hey, so I rooted my D802 a while ago, and installed TWRP using autorec, and all was going well.
today I received an ota, and against my better judgment , I clicked install, so of course it booted into TWRP and not stock recovery, and it couldn't flash the update, I rebooted the phone and it still booted back in TWRP!!, formatted, system, data, dalvik, and cache, then reboot, same thing, the phone keeps going back to recovery, apparently the command to update (boot into recovery) has been issued to the bootloader, and I have no idea how to cancel it, any ideas?
does anyone know where to find the temporary downloaded file from OTA? maybe flashing it manually through TWRP will fix the issue
thanks
this page helped, I typed the code and viola ,it works, thanks guys

So I am going to trade in my phone soon and as part of it I need to go back to stock. I was on a stock rooted ROM for today and when I got home I saw it had a software update. I figured Id just install it but then after clicking on it remembered that I would lose root in the upgrade and didnt want to deal with that. It had booted me into TWRP as soon as I clicked on the update and so I just turned the phone off and then on cause I figured nothing tried to actually install so it would be fine. Instead of booting the OS, it booted straight into TWRP. So I figured it had set a flag and wouldnt boot unless the update finished installing, so I would just wipe everything and re-flash a new ROM again. Did that, but I still boot straight into TWRP. Can anyone help me get back to a bootable OS state where I can use the phone again? I know it is kinda retarded to click on a software update on a rooted device, but I never thought it would completely break my ability to boot and still wouldnt even work if I wiped everything and re-installed the ROM or tried a different ROM.
My guess is that as soon as I clicked on the update it set a flag in the bootloader itself, because this issue persists even after wiping and flashing. And if I try to boot into the bootloader it actually boots me into TWRP. Should I try to use ADB in recovery and push a flashable bootloader onto the device and then try re-flashing the bootloader?
Hey fellas,
so I rooted my phone and tried to install some Magisk modules, but after rebooting it got stuck in the TWRP bootloop. So I flashed the Nandroid backup and it got stuck in the OOS boot animation. After that I tried reflashing OOS, but it didn't change anything, so I tried Lineage OS and now it won't even get past the Oneplus logo at the beginning and keeps restarting.
Thanks in advance
EDIT: when I flash the stock ROM through TWRP it installs normally, but then when I try to reboot it says there is no OS. So I flashed the stock OS to try adb sideload, but my pc says it cannot read the zip.
I also decrypted my phone through the OP5 Decrypt App, before the bootloop it worked for some time.
Of course I wiped everything before every action.
if you can bootup into recovery, try go into advanced and format data and system.
if you can't your last chance is using adb - flash a default rom.
Is it any different than wiping everything? Because it didn't do anything. I can access both twrp and fastboot so I guess it's not that bad
sounds like you went from unencrypted to an encrypted rom and your data is encrypted, or visa versa.
yep, it's vice versa, I used the OP5 Decrypt App after rooting. Is OP5 encrypted by default?
If you've tried the Android 8.0 Rom, just go to the official OP5 support site and download stock rom, flash it via ADB sideload if you can. (Don't forget to format data etc etc..) and restart from scratch.
Unlock BL if it's relock, then flash TWRP and go for a custom ROM. That's what I did, happened to me 2 days ago.f
EDIT : Oh you just flashed Magisk.. Well, try this anyway.
I tried flashing Lineage, but I can't install Oxygen
Ok, so apparently OOS boots up only after relocking the bootloader. And I had to make adb use more RAM to get sideload to work.
I need help.
So I tried doing a clean flash, didn't work.
I was stuck at the loading screen when booting the phone.
I was previously on latest OOS 4.X.X with Magisk and TWRP.
Somehow, my OP5 was now back on stock recovery.
I just installed TWRP back again (blu's).
Everything is encrypted (in /sdcard/). I can't seem to transfer files to my cellphone, either through
HTML:
adb push
or manually dragging and dropping files from Windows 10.
TWRP doesn't ask me for my previous PIN, and I can't seem to tranfer files... any way I can gain access/install a rom again ?
At worst if I could find a way to push my TWRP backup and recover everything....
Can I flash a ROM that's on my PC without pushing it on the cellphone ?
Any help is greatly welcome and appreciated. Thanks for your help in advance guys.
EDIT: I've wiped everything and was able to tranfer and flash the latest ROM, then flashed TWRP again without rebooting.
Upon system boot, the welcome screen showed up, but android.com.phone kept crashing and after a while a factory reset happened.
I just pushed TWRP back again and I'm kind of wondering what to do now...
EDIT2: Flashed OOS 5.0.0, then realized 5.0.1 was out. I relocked the bootloader and did the OTA update since it was a clean, not rooted install. Working good... now I need to root it again.
I have the H910 Version.
I flashed the SuperV20 rom and the phone got stuck on the LG Screen. I pulled the battery and manually flashed Magisk. The phone still as getting stuck. So I was going to reinstall the ROM. I read that I may need an updated TWRP. I wiped my phone and went to flash and updated TWRP and when i flashed the img file i hit reboot to recovery and when it was going into recovery, the system crashed. What did i do wrong?

For safety, don't flash recovery without a working rooted rom, to keep an easy fix working.. Now since you still have the engineering bootloader, you should be able to pull the battery to get it powered down, then hold volume down while connecting to a PC to enter fastboot mode. Grab a good copy of my latest twrp . Open up a command prompt and run
Code:
fastboot flash recovery path/to/TWRP.img
. Then since your rom is broken, pull the battery after it's completed and then you should be able to get back into recovery and reflash a rom.

When I open TWRP, they asked for a password so i hit cancel and did a factory reset and that fixed it. I flashed Lineage 15.1 OS and when the LG Screen loads, the phone crashes.. Should i redo the LGUP and ROOT Process?

Did you do the regular factory reset, or did you format data? You need to format data if it was encrypted (it was if it was asking for a password in TWRP) going from anything stock based to lineage or vise versa.

Perhaps it needed the new TWRP, or perhaps it was being finicky about having something wipe or not.
