Getting Package Info Failed

HELP. I flashed TWRP as recovery on my huawei. If i now boot my phone it automatically in huawei eRecovery where it says i have to download latest version and recovery. When i try, it always says that getting package info failed. How to fix this??????
Stock recovery won't work because the firmware is not online yet. I don't understand why the phone boot automatically on recovery. Maybe you checked something wrong in the advanced wipe function of TWRP. If you didn't use it, then I don't know what's wrong...
Ive only used it for SuperSU installation. Which gave me a buggy root that says its rooted but i didnt get the privileges. So i unrooted it.

Had it too. Turns out I was pushing the wrong buttons when powering on. Because when you get the bootloader unlocked message you can go to eRecovery by pressing some buttons.

flashing stock rom

I tried to relock my bootloader I downloaded the latest update took the update file out of the folder. And then put it in folder in SD card in folder named DL. Put in code in dialer to get into sd update and keep getting no update file on sd also tried in internal storage.
I am selling phone so just want to get rid of unlock boot message. Any suggestions people ?

Tried that too the toolkit goes into error when. I try lol
Put the update.app in the root of your internal storage (not sd card), turn off your phone and turn it on while pressing volume up key. Stock firmware will install and you bootloader will be automagically relocked

It isn't that hard right? I don't think its very different than on other devices. For example, cyanogenmod is just some touching some wipe an flash buttons. However I agree that this may not be the best device for roms. But not horibble.

Using adb you should type
fastboot oem lock xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (14 or 16 i don't remember)
I did this and it didn't show me the message, btw if you go into fastboot mode after this it will says: fastboot relocked or something else
*I'm from italy so maybe I did some mistakes*

Huawei P9 lite - TWRP Doesn't work, can't force update phone

As title says, I cant boot into TWRP, tried to flashed it many times, also cant boot into force EMUI update, or I just don't know how... Please help, what to do now? Revolutionary recovery does work, but it's made for Android 7.0, so when I try to flash something, it says that catn mount /data...
Apprerently I can boot intro EMUI update from sd card, but everytime I try to install app pack, it says "Software install failed", please help, maybe there is any rom for my phone, that can be installed on it, I mean app pack?

Yes, I can access everything, except android by it's self and TWRP, tried to flash it 10x times
All I really need is TWRP, from there I already have setted CM13 zip, please help, only revolutionary works, but its made for andorid 7.0 so zip doesn't work
Thanks for responding

In TWRP > Mount > untick and re-tick /data and then try formatting it.
Yip tried tht too... So the phone started back but it's reverted back to its original state... Locked bootloader, unrooted etc...
I can provide full service firmware VNS-L23C605B370 / VNS-L23C605B364 / VNS-L23C605B121
Ok... But can I use any of those tht you've outlined safely, becuz my phone works fine so far but it appears the data partition is damaged. Also the twrp recovery im using is 3.0.1 so I gonna try updating it.
Right... so I've managed to get my phone back up and running by flashing the recovery2, recovery, cust and system files with L23C605B120 instead of B102 as it was. i've also managed to install twrp and rooted it. I've noticed that not any version of twrp works. Only the 3.0.0 version. Now i need help with updating my firmware from B120 to B362 if possible. through the official updater i attempted to install an official update but it kept failing... any suggestions... anyone?

Hello
as I see you can use twrp 3.0.
then, from then b120 MM.
1 bootloader code.
2 installs twrp.
3 go to wipe. check all except SD card.
4 go to install, install update.zip b362 and install update datafull.zip b362.
5 restarts.
here is.

update datafull http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...-L23_hw_la/update_data_full_VNS-L23_hw_la.zip
now, for vns-l23c605, there is a firmware b374.
you can install it too.
to do it.
you had to download all the files (full-ota-mf-pv b362+full-ota-mf b374) to your computer and handle them with winzip.

Cannot flash system.img

I tried to restore my system_a and system_b to the current (April) security patch for updates today by flashing the latest fastboot images on the MIUI website, but while running flash_all_except_storage.sh, the script gets stuck while flashing system_a and system_b, but flashes everything else. Even while flashing individually, fastboot does not seem to be willing to do so. Magisk had been uninstalled before attempting this, and the bootloader is unlocked (and developer options enabled). This is the first time I've encountered this issue, and any help would be appreciated.
I've tried:
- using a different cable
- relocking and unlocking bootloader
The version I'm flashing is tissot_images_V.9.5.10.0.ODHMIFA_8.0, and the version my phone is on is OPR1.170623.026. V.9.5.10.0.ODHMIFA.
This is the only message that shows up when attempting a flash, and then it just continues running:
Code:
fastboot flash system_b system.img
target reported max download size of 534773760 bytes

Thanks for the reply, but my bootloader is already unlocked and I do not wish to update to the 8.1 beta as I'm using the phone as a daily driver. Moreover, I don't want to lose my data. Do you know of any other way to resolve this issue?

I don't think I'll be able to do that as I'll still lose my data. My phone is currently on the April security update Android Oreo 8.0.0, and reverting back to Nougat will cause issues with my device encryption due to the changes in Oreo.

Thank you so much! Interestingly, booting into Windows (I'm using a Mac) using MiFlash worked, although it appears to still use Fastboot. It's possible that my Mac fastboot binary is outdated or corrupted and that was the reason.
