hey guys. so I tried now for hours to figure out how to root kitkat note 4. the problem is that I updated to lollipop with ota but I want kitkat on my note 4 with root. can anyone please give me link to the newest kit kit version for note 4 sm-n910f snap dragon and root link because I don't know if auto root is for lollipop or kit kit. please help me anyone.

try the above method (i.e. CF AutoRoot method) or flash philz touch recovery and in philz settings select re root
then finally download supersu form play store and click update binaries
The easiest way is probably to just ODIN-flash Chainfire's AutoRoot, which you can download here:

But it's not difficult to root your Note 4 "manually" either. All you really need to do is to ODIN-flash a custom recovery tar and then flash SuperSu from the recovery.

The only way I know it for root is (chain fire root) it is easy and fast.
there is a root file for 4.4.4 Kitkat , but Idon't think it will work ,and i think I will lose my Note if i use it.
so any help will be good.

You must change the stock kernel, with custom kernel.
As the other poster said you need a custom/permissive kernel to root 5.1.1. Then again it has just been released so we'll probably have a decent root method soon enough. geiti94 had a root method which worked for the custom kernel/ROM but it had random reboots. I say this just to clarify that it is indeed possible. There's nothing really problematic about a custom kernel though if development is active.

I bought the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-910F), updated it to Android 5.1.1 and want to install Cyanogenmod/with root.
I read a lot about it cant be rooted just with a new kernel with root permission but i want to install Cyanogenmod with root.
Normaly i need to unlock bootloader and get root permission to install a rom?
Or is in not possible to install a other rom at the moment? Or is there a way to downgrade my Android version?
If yes... Can someone give me/us a instructions to do so? Maybe with download links, i know to search the forum but i cant realy find solutions for my own questions

Thanks for reply ,, i tried cf auto root and when the download by oden begin then it intrupted ,i saw a thread aboud deactivating samsung account (auto relock or something like that) ..i will remove it and then trying again to root by cf auto root .

I deactivate "reactivation lock" in security tab .and its work . I root it in 10 sec.
But i still have a question can rooting by cf auto root allows me to instal costum roms?!!
Yes and no .
A custom recovery is also required .
The simplest way to install a custom ROM would be to install TWRP via Odin. Installing via Odin does not require root access.
Thanks guys for helping me and I'm sorry for late reply I was in vacation ..everything is good now I rooted it very well and installed twrp ,I start using CyanogenMod 12.1 and it work well .I tried first cm 13 but it has issues like no sound in calls I tried to find solution for that but didn't work . so I installed cm 12.1 and I didn't noticed much differences between them so I'm happy with this cm 12.1 . thanks Again ur the best. to root note 3 scl22 running 5.0 u just need to download file from https://autoroot.chainfire.eu i use sc01f since there is no scl22 (dont flash this if ur not sure about this) flash this using odin and when its done it will update (youll see red background with pirate android logo). supersu included
if u want to install custom rom with aroma installer for scl22 its really hard to find 2.8x twrp but ive found this on some thread im really sry if i dont get his name.
ps: i make this thread cause its really hard to find tools for samsung note 3 (scl22)
