By disassembling the Magician the two cables of the main speaker were disengaged. I now need detailled inside pictures (at the best both sides of this oval speaker) where exactly I have to solver them.
Pleaze help (The disassembling manual from 718 is not fine enough).
HTC Magician, MDA Compact, I-Mate Jam, XDA Mini, VPA compact
Are the wires disconected from the speaker or from the board.
If from the speaker than tou must see 2 solver points (clear) you dont have to worry about + and -.
On the board the speaker wires are connected throug a small white connector.
You can also buy a new speaker wich have the wires and connector attached. Or replace it for a alcatel speaker. (that works for me)
Disconnected from Speaker
Thx for prompt reply. Is disconnected from speaker.
Have tried to solder at the speaker, but doesn't work.
I guess the previous owner has done something wrong so my question
for detailled picture.
What kind of alcatel is the speaker you took?
You may want to test if your speaker is working or not. You want to know which part of the circuit is having the problem.
eg. Take a multi-meter to test the resistance of the speaker.
If you can get Alcatel 511 speaker (oval), use cutter to cut out some plastic pin, that doesn't allow you to put speaker on it's place, and desolder two contact springs (gold color) and solder two wires instead.
Thats the one
First test the speaker (usumed you did that allready)
If you tried to solver and it did not work the speaker is probably defect but (small chance) it can also be a deect board.
Problem solved
Many thanks to JDark and fj200 - have ordered the Alcatel 511 speaker for € 1,49 + freight (here in Germany via ebay.de, price for original speaker is € 28,90!!!), cutted the plastic pin, cutted the golden contact springs and then soldered with the two wires - runs perfect.
I dropped my phone and now the mic and speaker will not work. Is it possible a connection came loose? I can't find any wiring diagrams online. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
No one knows how these are connected?
It is connected under the back cover. There are YouTube videos about replacing the screen. If u are looking at the exposed back. It is on the left hand side near towards the bottom of the phone. The speaker is enclosed in a piece of plastic. Take it apart and see what you can find. Either speaker or charger ribbon cable is bad.

Hi,
I have a problem with speaker in my G2 D802. Rarely it works normally (not ofthen tho), but usually it doesn't work. It works only when I'm pushing the bottom edge of the phone. What's the matter? Has anyone had similar problem? Do I have to replace it with new one?
Probably just bad contact. Not sure about the inside of the G2, but it could be: slightly ripped flex cable, broken mic or disconnected connector. As there is almost no way to rip the flex cable, I think only the connector is disconected, worst case scenario the there's bad contact on the mic side (imho hard to repair on your own).
Hello,
you do not know where to find the 3.5mm (audio female) jack connector on LG G2 (D802) (link to ebay atc)?
It once happened to me that there ceased to hold the handset. I had to phone to complain. Now is out of warranty.
I just found the whole flex circuit, where is power board. :crying:
HI,
New to oneplus 5 forum.
I recently bought a used oneplus 5 with a broken screen.
I am reasonably familiar with replacing screens, and the odd modular parts of phones
So, replaced the screen and frame, put it back together, everything seemed good
Checked everything, all things seem to work, except for loudspeaker?
Headphone output works , but I get a clicking from the speaker.
Have tried another working speaker - same thing.
Have ordered another flex cable from motherboard to speaker in case thats the fault.
There are several contacts on the speaker and underlying module that appear to connect with the back case.
The back case has the headphone and usb charging port, and several electrical contact points.
So - does anyone know if the back case has to be clipped back into place to get the speaker working?
I am reluctant to try it just to see see because it is a pain in the xxss to get it off again without scratching my shiny new frame.
if anyone can enlighten me who has experience of this I would be most grateful.

YAAY!
t'was the motherboard cable
