Change Carrier name on lockscreen - OnePlus 5 Questions & Answers

Does anyone know how to change the carrier name that is displayed on lockscreen?
I tried to edit spn-conf.xml but it did bot work.
Carrier Name APK from XDA is also not working.
I'm on stock OOS 4.5.14, rooted with magisk

Gravity Box module can do that, If xposed framework is an option for you.

Nexus 4 hide navbar

Hey guys,
i tried to hide the navbar on my N4 with Stock 4.2.1 firmware.
I added to build.prop the line: "qemu.hw.mainkeys=1"
now the Nexus 4 won't boot up. I had to restore the old build.prop.
Permissions of the build.prop were set right.
Has anyone a solution for hiding the navbar?
I want to use the Pie Controls of LMT, so i don't need the navbar.
Perhaps you messed something like else up? I'm using that right now, albeit on Bionic pure AOSP. It works fine.

I added the same line to build.prop with root explorer and use Button Savior without any difficulty. Try again-you must have done something wrong. Maybe you didn't put the new text on a separate line at the end. Make sure you do not use the quote marks. Root explorer renamed the original file and saved it for me. Another thing you can do is use custom roms that have an option to remove the soft keys.
okay I found out what the problem was.
I didn't update Root Explorer and the Version 2.14.<something> messed my build.prop up, everytime i saved it.
With the newest Version of Root Explorer it works fine.
Thank you for your help.

how to change app background?

there are themes in the theme store, and some themes change the background on the: setting, clock, my files, keyboard
so my question is how i can change the backgroung and the icons without change the theme? tnx
There a module in xposed installer named gravitybox
NOTE=ROOT ACCESS IS NEEDED

seconds in the status clock

The rom I'm using is Resurrection remix and there's no option to display seconds in the status bar clock. I have read some things and tried the "xmoreintime" Xposed module but still no luck as it hasn't been updated for a while and it has no effect. I can append seconds to the date with a custom Java format but the seconds don't update unless I turn the screen off and on. Will I have to decompile and recompile the systemui if not where can I edit the clock format to add seconds? Must I decompile the apk or can I just edit the systemui XML files in the shared preferences folder?
Solved. :good: The Xposed module: flat style bar indicators seems to work. But if there's an easy way to do this without Xposed as I like to use as little modules as I can, then I'd like to hear.

[Ask] Samsung CSC list?

moving from S7 on marshmallow, the things that I missed most is Xposed module like XTouchWiz
so I checked wanam's github and he mentioned that "This application uses also Root access to apply some Samsung CSC features", and then I wonder if I can replicate some of XTouchWiz features by manually editing CSC (disable camera shutter, disable alarm icon, auto record call)
so does anybody have list of CSC that can be used in S8? mostly those that are available in XTouchWiz
and anyone has tried CSC editor created by wanam? (link) so I don't have to manually edit the CSC xml myself
anyone?

Tried that. I consistently get a "phone not support yet" error in iFont.
On what ROM?

Are you sure iFont still works? I tried to create font package with iFont and installed it, but when I tried to actually change to the font in settings, it says "Font not supported".
Using Android 10 on my Note 9 and have tried Wings and Gxfonts but neither work anymore. Anyone have any suggestions to get custom fonts on Android 10 please?

@GunnerGeezer
I was having the same problem after the latest update (Aug 2020 Security update) on ALEXNDR Rom.
Yesterday I found a way to install custom fonts in my N9.
The steps are as follows.
Install Zfont app from play store. Try installing the font normally. If it doesn't work and you are rooted with Magisk (of-course) try the following method. It worked fine for me.
But please make a back up of your ROM in recovery before flashing the font zip file | just-in-case |
Download your favorite fonts in .ttf format to the "zFont/Fonts" folder in your phone.
Then open the app and go to the right most option named "Local" on the top
Select your font there and press the "SET" button at the bottom
You will get a "Font Changing option"
Select appropriately. I tried both "Samsung" & "System Root" methods and did not work for me.
So I chose "Create Magisk module flashable zip"
Then chose "ENGLISH" and replace "ALL"
The app creates a magisk flashable zip in "zFont/Magisk" folder
Now open Magisk, select modules and selct the zip file in the zFont/Magisk folder and flash.
Reboot and voila!
Let me know if it all went well. Take care and have a great day!
Thanks for the reply. I'm not rooted as it messes with my banking app. So not sure if this will work for me.
