What you are asking is felony offenses in most countries We DO NOT ask or answer how to change or clone IMEIs.

You have a Efs backup?

Have you tried flashing a different modem? That usually fixes it for me. Try flashing the DDUBMF8 modem, it works great for me.

I assume you don't have a efs backup but well let's make this simple
if you do have a backup you can easily get the IMEI back to original state.
if you don't
you can follow this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1264021
it has been working for many users (but i'm not sure if it works for S4) i've never had corrupt IMEI only stone dead one  (on s4)
i had the s2 with the fake IMEI but i was never able to recover it, now i can't give it a go since the last person who had it "my friend" says her friend of her has it and her friend of her says that my friend has it so it's lost case to try recovering it even though i'd like to recover it
Well i wish you all the best! you will need it samsung and their efs partitions are tricky i know they've got an tool to write the IMEI to the correct partition but not sure its released,
Hi,
I have a SAmsung Galaxy S5 SM-900F (the european/international LTE version)
and i can't make calls or send messages, checked my IMEI and it was wrong, not the same as the one in the back of the phone.
So the EFS partition is messed up, any help please to restore the original IMEI?

Sorry to hear about your difficulties. If you have a backup, then that will resolve your issue. Or if your phone is under warranty, then a warranty claim will aid you.
However, as a quick search would have shown you, this forum doesn't allow discussions about manipulating IMEI numbers as that is often abused. Google will locate the information you need on some other site.

I guess you bought it second hand for a very `good` price, if so it seems you got scammed.
no luck for me then
is anyone kind to PM me with the steps to repair it, if it's allowed in the forums of course.
anyway i'm trying different methods found in google for other galaxy phones.
need advice..... can i flash custom rom on my note 3 (n9005) even if my IMEI is changed from the original IMEI?

Hello Nico,
How can you say that your IMEI has changed ?
or maybe the good question would be : Why did you change it ?

The IMEI is stored on some special partitions and will not be affected by flashing custom rom.
However, before flashing any rom, you need to backup the IMEI (with the IMEI Backup tool) so you can restore it when need. Just in case...

What you're attempting to do (cloning the IMEI) is not legal and thus cannot be discussed here. For your device with IMEI woes, try reinstalling the ROM. Otherwise take it to Samsung and have them fix it.
yes cloning(my own s4 imei) imei or just network fix without imei.

If imei got lost without you doing anything then you have hardware failure and need to replace emmc chip.
