[Q] Before a root questions

Hi everyone,
I have recently bought myself a Nexus 7 3g(not opened yet) and i want to know what i need to know about before i root it (using Wug's Nexus Root Toolkit v1.6.2). I know to check the usual thing like making sure everything works. But when i root do i need to know such as know the baseband version/ril version (matching pair)? If there is any issues using this method of rooting with recovery installed?
Or is it as easy as Unlock>Root>(Custom Recovery box checked) and to store back to factory default Flash Stock+Unroot>OEM Lock
I saw this in teh forum "When I drop to the command prompt in TWRP, it says "insufficient space" or something similar, and is trying to backup to the /sdcard/media/TWRP directory instead of to the PC. I have an 8GB model w/ about 6GB in use." Is this still an issue? should i be concerned?
Should i grab a copy of this? 4.2.1 (JOP40D) - md5: e5d22e0791ab2f5d470bba77fbd6771d - size: 277.7MB. Should this be matching to mine?
Many Thanks!!!
***Another question is, how to i tell which one i got? a Nakasig or Tilapia
I wouldn't use a kit to root. Its easy to do manually just follow this thread

Thanks for the above post but will any one be able to answer my other questions? Like the difference between Nakasig and Tilapia? Are they the same? I want to install openrecovery-twrp-2.3.3.0-tilapia.img but what happens if my device is the Nakasig model? I havent opened my device yet since i'm waiting for my screen protector.
I want to root root this device but with limited knowledge i'm worried i might brick it.
Its real easy. Its mostly an automated process. Follow the on screen directions. Make sure u have USB debugging checked on in developer settings. Click on the about>build a bunch of times if your developer tab isn't open. YouTube this if needed. Don't know about the other questions

New to Android and Rooting, would like some help

Hello guys, as the title says, i'm completely new to android and rooting. I just got my Galaxy s4 like two days, and I'd like to root it, but there's a lot of ways to do it, and I have trouble finding my paticular device (which will be listed below). I'd like if someone could point me in the right direction be it here or elsewhere, for how I can root this thing without tripping? the warranty (the knox thing), and preferably easy lol.
My device
Galaxy S4 from T-Mobile
Model SGH-M919
Its dated for Fri Feb 14 (if that also helps, since I've seen the date being important being stated for towelroot?)
4.4.2
I found this on google. Root tutorial for sgh-919. It still in xda http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2294005

Thanks, I'll check it out
Before trying rooting please make sure you are using the rooting guide for the correct version(model no.) of your phone. As you may be aware, there are many versions (models) of the S4.
if your intention of rooting is to use custom ROMs, then you can have a look at the 'model no. android development' /'model no. original android development' forums here on XDA for the particular model(verison)of your phone (i9500/i9505/i9506). Custom ROMs almost always are pre-rooted.
you can check your model no. using Settings -> About device -> Model number.

[Q] How to run an app designed for tablet on note3?

Hi
Can anyone help me to run this app on my note3?
the app name is EF Efekta Corporate, available on tablet play store only.
I downloaded the extracted apk from the internet and install it to my note3 and of course didn't work.
the message i got is : unsupported device, need to have 7 inch or larger display.
I have rooted note 3
stock rom 4.4.2
Help me if there is any solution? xposed, custom rom?
Thank you in advance.
-------------------------------------
UPDATE:
I have tried one xposed module called TabletMetrics!
on this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/27-tabletmetrics-report-screen-7-v2-2-t2596603
but no success after install it! i got same message!
That's odd, I've never had a tablet app tell me it's incompatible when I use the .apk...
It's likely the app itself has a specifications check that does this. If so, there is nothing to be done about it to my knowledge.

[Q] Rooting At&t Note 3 with android 5.0

Hey everyone I want to root this phone. Does anyone have a good tutorial on doing this? I have not rooted anything since my original Note and want to get back in the game and need a refresher
Thanks XDA
The easiest way is to do cyanogenmod installler and it installs the stock rom and root. If u only want root go to
https://autoroot.chainfire.eu/ and find your model number make sure it says the right software verision. If it doesnt have note 3 on lollipop try kingo root.

rooted samsung note 4/n910f variant

Hello guys. I bought a samsung note 4 running on android 5.5.1 and was ready to follow the youtube tutorials on how to root it..but i foumd out that it already has root access (i checked it on cpu z and root checker) but there is no supersu installed. I was just wondering if i could just download it from the playstore but im worried that something might go wrong. The youtune tutorials show that after rooting..it automatically has a supersu installed so i am wondering why there is none installed on my device. Thanks in advance. (I've got the n910f variant btw.)
