Hi pros,
- Yotaphone 2, was on 6.0.1 when bought (pre owned).
- When trying to do Settings -> Factory reset, it would flash the 'powered by android' logo' and then show the animation for some time, but wouldn't reset the phone completely (the older google account would still remain)
- I tried to get into recovery mode by (Power + Vol Up) combination. It would show the 'powered by android' logo for a second but not show the 'recovery' screen.
- Then I went into the fastboot mode by (Power + Vol Dn) combination. Tried Fastboot oem unlock. Again the 'powered by android' logo would show up for a second but no confirmation screen to unlock bootloader.
- I could still just long press the power button and the phone would boot up normally.
- (here comes the mistake) I flashed twrp_xxxx_backtobusiness.img using fastboot flash recovery twrp_xxxx_backtobusiness.img
- Now I am in a state where the bootloader is locked, no recovery and the phone does not boot. I can only get to fastboot mode.
It would be great if someone could help me recover my phone from this state. Thanks.

I tried to update my wife's P9 lite to Nougat manually and initially succeeded in some way. The version I installed via the dload install method turned out to be some sort of Bluetooth disabled demo firmware (I can't remember the name of it).
I then tried to downgrade back to MM 6.0/EMUI 4.1 and now have a bricked phone. I can't actually turn it off!
Hard reset options do nothing.
Here is the current situation:
The phone is always on - the Huawei logo is displayed with 'powered by Google' at the foot of the screen.
Holding down the power button returns the phone to the same screen after a vibration and a brief moment of blackness.
Holding all three buttons results in a double vibration then back to the same screen.
Power and down vol leads to black screen, vibrate, back to logo screen.
Power and vol up is the same as vol down result.
I'm out of ideas. Nothing online mirrors these faults. I'm ashamed to admit defeat but it is as dead as I've seen any handset. I can't believe it won't even power down. I'm in the doghouse here. Wife is not happy!
Download any update eg b161, download trwp and connect your phone to PC then press power + vol down. U should land to fastboot then open adb/fastboot and type fastboot oem unlock "unlock code" then enter if u get unlocked then flash trwp by fastboot flash recovery trwp.img after that go to trwp and flash the update.zip u downloaded. Then reboot

Thank you but it goes straight back to the logo screen when I try this.
Hi!
As the title says, TWRP is not working, when I flash it, fastboot says it's successful, so I turn off phone (hold power button), then I try to boot straight to recovery (hold volume up, volume down and power at the same time), phone vibrates, I let go of power but screen is pitch black, so I try again (I again flash TWRP), this time I hold power until Lenovo logo shows up, but It doesn't, screen is pitch black, so I boot system and turn off the phone, boot to recovery and stock shows up, so I know I can boot to recovery. Bootloader is unlocked and I have already flashed TWRP on this phone, I just returned to stock ROM so I lost it.

I try to use TWRP 3.1.1, used that one before and it worked.
Edit:
I did the same thing and it decided to work, phone just went all r****d on me yesterday.
Part way through rooting the tablet I try and boot into recovery mode but it just displays pink/blue pixels and lines. Is there a way to reset the process and get access to recovery mode?
It sounds like you are stuck in the hardware test mode not recovery. Just hold the vol + and pwr at the same time until you see the Lenovo logo and let go. This should boot you into recovery. Alternatively, vol - and pwr gets you to fastboot which you can reboot using the fastboot reboot commands.

Won't boot to recovery, just has a pixelated screen. It will however boot normally. I've done a factory reset and tried to do a system update but it bots to a pixelated screen again.
A bit of history on this device (Galaxy a3 2017 A320FL)
I rooted the phone, it got FRP locked so later I tried Lineage OS. Didn't like it so I went back to Stock firmware.
It's working fine but when accessing the recovery mode via power off + volume up + home it boots to the "installing system update" screen that shortly after turns into a "no command" screen. Long pressing those three buttons again I get into the real recovery mode.
I already tried flashing the stock recovery image from here https://desktop.firmware.mobi/device:1680/firmware:20213/download/recovery.tar.md5/landing but the recovery mode keeps acting weirdly.
Any suggestions?
I was trying to install TWRP on my 6T. The bootloader was already unlocked.
After flashing TWRP, my phone is now stuck at the bootloader warning screen (as it's unlocked).
I can't enter into fastboot. It won't even shut down.
I have tried all key combinations and only vol up + power key works but all it does is restart the device and it gets stuck again.
My pc isn't recognizing the device either.
What should I do?
try vol up + down + power to enter into fastboot
