Hi, i just wanted to know if i could flash g5s' roms on the normal g5 (or the opposite) . It would be great and i would test it myself but i am too scared to do it. Has anyone done it or is it just not possible?

Really? You'd think this would be an obvious no.

Seems to work for my G Flex. Maybe it can work for the G3? I think this works for the LG Volt too

I don't know if it can really be this easy... my F460K i showing as unlocked now though so here is hoping
-edit- Still results in a secure booting error when flashing a recovery. But now if we can replace the actual bootloader with say the 855 unlocked version... or maybe even the unlocked T-mo version. Hrmm...
Totally worked D855 LG G3
yep it worked without any loose of my data or bricked mu phone, LG G3 D855 on crDroid AOSP ROM Lolipop, maybe this is the best solution for the LG G4 juts saying
So whats the matter with this? A real bootloader unlock?

guys this was the first thing people here tried(including me),this does cause a false positive by saying unlocked but it doesn't acctually disable the signature check, nice try but no it won't work
I thought it seemed a little too simple to have not been thought of already. Flashfire still shows it as "secured" as well.
On the Flex it allows me to flash a twrp recovery. So I thought it would be worth a share

Does anybody know is any custom ROM like CM13 is available for the sprint version of the tablet ? Also seems like TWRP is only available for v410 (ATT version ) only. Would be a great help If I can install CM on it. Already rooted the device with King Root.
Thanks

Greetings, I've been talking with the developer jonas2790 tells me that if you send the tablet may help us to install CM 13 and TWRP in our devices LG G Pad F7.0 :good:
I'm down
If nobody has responded to this request I'm down to send mine. I'm also looking to send my spare LG G5 (992, Sprint Variant) to help assist in a custom recovery/root if anyone is interested.

No, nobody did. But at the moment I wouldn't have the time to work on this anyway, sorry.

Thank you very much for answering these messages, but will not have an apprentice or some geek partner who can do this job for the silent herd of users who expect this work
I really need this to install xposed and fix the memory leak problem with lolipop.
Please send me the custom recovery for LG lk430?

Looks like there's still no updates around this. I'm starting to think there's a conspiracy around this tablet. Other sibling models had attention while this one collects dust I guess.
I'm wondering about this also!
Just in case you guys brick your devices during the process, here's the link to the .tot and .dll file for flashing and debricking it:

Thanks to @herbfunk post #92 for the find in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/sprint-lg-g-pad-f7-0-lk430-t3180261/page10
Hi, I have the Amazon variant of the Moto g5 plus. Recently I've been trying to root my device and i've kept getting an error when I try to run the first command. Can someone please help because I would really love to root my device.
As far as ik you can't do that.
This has been discussed a lot here, please search or browse first before starting another thread on it. That said, only the 'Standard Version - Without Offers or Ads' Amazon models can have the bootloader unlocked, so either forget root or return yours for a standard model.
Please let me know if you find a way!
Could you please let me know if you find a way around. Thank you!

ONCE AGAIN!! Because Amazon has a deal with Motorola... Motorola will not give you the code to unlock the bootloader on an Amazon Prime phone. No unlocked bootloader, no root. Period.
Can we flash official images to get updates faster? I am in Antarctica, so our carrier doesn't push through updates.
I guess it may be too early to know, but does anyone know if the boot loader will be unlockable on the US version? I know it doesn't release until mid July. I'm contemplating this because I like the looks and even the specs (I don't need the latest and greatest processor). The copper colored one on Amazon looks fantastic.
I think this thread is important. Keeping an eye on it. Would consider a purchase if unlockable. It would be a ****ty move to not unlock it. They could sell more phones if unlockable

Ok so i got all the files required to root a lenovo k6, theres probably something that will need to be modified.
File are here : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B2dVzKZymUDWQnJXbFlBeXZCQUk?usp=sharing
please correct me if im wrong. Hopefully someone can dig into this because i really dont get time to search and try and test it on my own. Plus this is my main phone, cant ruin it.(half ruined with no g services already)
Also i want to add that i tried the blackberry method too, https://forums.crackberry.com/black...lts-official-google-apps-landing-page-965257/
its pretty outdated i guess.

Blackberry method can be optimized for Nokia 6, but it's a very hard work

i thought so too. I wish root was a little more easier/Nokia would be cool to release bootloader unlock :s

Sorry if its too much of a 'newb' question, but I've been reading up on this for days, and I'm still not sure, if there is an exploit for the h81220x (Marshmallow, Fido/Rogers(?)) variation of the LG G4. I've seen messages from 2017 that say "not yet, for this one anyway", so it's all quite confusing. I only want to install a ROM with as late a version of Android as possible (beyond MM). I know the bootloader is hard as nails to crack, and there are alternatives, like "USU", and one wrong move and this thing goes into a permanent bootloop. So is it now doable for a Fido-branded G4 with the H81220X firmware installed, and if so, which would be the best / safest method to go with? Thanks!

Well, I recognize your name, so oh yes, I certainly do believe you! It's a tricky phone to root, so thanks for pointing me in the right direction. :good:
