Alternatives to swipe lock screen?

I am not a big fan of the stock swipe lock screen on the phone. Is there a way to disable it or replace it with something else other than the pattern lock thingy?

I think I heard about other users on the forum using a app named NoLock to get rid of the lock screen.

Any of the lockscreen apps on the Market should replace the stock one for you. Try LockBot, Widget Locker (real nice and customizable), Lock2.0 (think that's what it was).

I'm with the OP. I don't find the TW lock screen as useful or as good looking as the stock 2.1 / 2.2 lock screen. Is there a way we can port the stock android lock screen to the Vibrant? I've looked through the phone and I haven't found any files that blatantly say "hey, this is the lock screen" to me. Is this possible?

Yep, WidgetLocker would be your best bet for a 2.1 look. I've used it and it actually is really nice and customizable.

This may be a dump question since the creation of live wallpapers but is it possible to have like maybe a screensaver instead of a lockscreen

Hey is there a way to get stock android lock screen, instead how the sense ?. dont know witch rom iam gonna use just yet. but is it possible too flash the lock screen ?

I think you could use widget locker. It has a bunch of sliders from other launchers.

[Q] Lock Screen Widgets: Lollipop

HI Team,
Post Lollipop update on Indian N900, widgets (shortcut) icons are gone from the lock screen.
I tried doing deep diving in the setting but couldn't find one. Is there any way we can get the widgets on the lock screen.
If not all the widgets, even Phone / Whatsapp (any one widget) will do. Your help on this is highly appreciated.

Ha ha, no, no way you can enable widgets on lockscreen, one of the very goodness of LP, wait till you find more.
Maybe third party lockscreen apps will support them, no idea.

Dont know any lock screen with widgets like x2. But give HiLocker a try, stock lock screen can be disabled through it. Just select none option. It got some odd lollipop and I-phone ui fusion, but it looks nice. Also shows notifications. Im currently using it.

just replace it with any locker from playstore, and dont forget to disable stock lockscreen

Unable to Create Default Screen Lock Widget on Custom Launchers

Hi,
I am not able to create default screen lock widget in any custom launchers in EMUI 8.X.
However earlier I was using the sane default screen lock widget in other launchers in Honor 6X EMUI 5.X.
Is there any workaround to use the default widget in custom launchers?
Please don't suggest to use other screen lock widget as it requires pattern to unlock the phone.

Once you upload to Android Pie, custom launchers' widgets can lock the screen the same way as the stock Huawei one. Your problem annoyed the hell out of me too before Pie, but luckily this is now resolved.
