S8 green screen Issue - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

For month everything was fine.
Today i took the phone and unlocked it with fingerprint. After few seconds half of screen went black.
After 10 more minutes it all got green (as in attached image).
Tried reset with power+volume down buttons without any success.

[Q] Nexus froze during long call - would not boot again

Loving the Nexus 4 (stock JOP40D + root) although I'm having some issues with the phone sometimes rebooting randomly (1-2 times a day)
and today it turned itself off during a long call (after about 45 mins) and would not boot again.
I pressed all combinations of buttons, plugged into the charger and it would not turn on.
Left it aside for a few mins, pressed power+vol and it booted normally as if nothing happened.
I then went to check the battery settings, and noticed a strange gap (screenshot) like the ones I was getting on my S2 after this kind of reboot.
Any ideas of what could have caused this?

Thanks. Could that really be the case though? It didn't feel hot in my hand
I'd RMA it. I'm getting an RMA device for a "faulty battery". Many Nexi have shipped with dud batteries. Not sure if that's your particular issue, but call Google.

Help

Boys, I have the following problem it does a couple of days. (Since I am impeded to explain it "technically", I am going to try to describe it as vulgarly as possible to try to make myself to understand the possible better thing). There are moments in which the screen meets normal. Then, of to little, the low part begins to suffer something that I give the name of " displacement of segments ". Though in the title I put " Winking screen " it it does not manage to be. For example: the bar of navigation starts moving it was doing above and down, without I manipulate the telephone and without being able to stop it. There are times that one stops blocking the screen a time or there are others that this displacement moves to the whole screen and is his totality that starts moving over-excited. Adding information I tell them that it happens to me in any part in the one that is with the cellular one, so much on the principal screen, since in the recovery, or in the animations of beginning. Also, thinking that it was some Rom that had installed in his moment, I have changed several times and with all it happens to me (likewise with the Kernel). I they attach a photo in order that they have an idea of what attempt to describe them.

That's a burn in the amoled screen, there's nothing you can do, just change the screen.
It's a known issue with amoled displays.

Dose applications available on playstore can help ?
Where did you bought that device? Try to return it, really.
Like @martinko23 said, there is nothing you can do, the display is ruined.
Just google "Amoled burn" and you will see what your problem is.
Unfortunately no application can help there.
Good luck, mate.
Was it on a store display of any kind?! Demo unit?!
Burn ins stopped happening like couple of years ago on samsung phones! Unless it is kept on the same screen display for hours on maximum brightness! And that only happens on a demo unit!
it seems like Ali has played a lot of Billards on the Device, and when he noticed the burn in, he decided to sell it.....

Still thinks it's in call

Anyone else get the bug where it still thinks your in a call making it only allow you to turn up the call volume and some noises don't work like locking the screen and what not? On update B10

Happened once to me about one week ago. Not sure what caused/triggered it.
After restart everything returned to normal and never happened again since.
Same here last week under b10 (G version). A reboot fixed it all.
Problem first arised after I modified the volume of my chromecast.

Yea I've done a reboot every time it's happened as well and it seemed to have fixed it, well I pretty much use my chromecast every night but it seems like it mostly happens in the middle of the day, and it occurs often enough for me hopefully it gets fixed on some update

It's called a Power switch button. You can easily solder one on. You can get one off a broken phone, even an old one. The switch is on any old phone or you can buy one on eBay. We used to call it the PTT button back when the walkie talkies phones.
Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/112498210154
