Hi all, Just got a Redmi 3 Pro phone - put my SIM in and it only gets edge (90% of the time) and then maybe 3g/h+ if the wind is blowing in the right direction, .
If i put my sim back in my old wileyfox swift - LTE ALL THE TIME!
Is there ANY way to get 4g on this god-awful chinese piece of tat? Please any help appreciated or do i just put it straight into the bin?????
I am in Ireland on the Meteor network and am running the latest nightly LineageOS 14.1.
Thanks
Sorry but this is Redmi pro subforum not redmi 3 pro

I bought a RedMi 2S from Hong Kong and brought it back to US. Installed an AT&T sim and got "No Service". Can someone confirm that the 2S will or will not work with AT&T?
Thank you

There's no "RedMi 2S".
There's Xiaomi RedMi 2,
and Xiaomi Mi2S (and also Xiaomi Mi2).
Now, you have to see what network bands supports your phone (on specs that you can find on internet) and what are the bands on which AT&T trasmit.
I apologize if this has been asked before or if this is the wrong place to ask this. I did a search and didn't find an answer.
Will the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 be able to be used in the US on Verizon? I assume I'll have to buy it from a Chinese seller and pop in a Verizon sim. Is this how it is with the current version of this phone?
Thanks in advance!
Anyone?

right now the redmi note 2 on sale is on TD-LTE which wont support verizon
but it will run 3G/HSDPA fine
2nd week of September 2015, they will launch this series in full, total 3 models.
Pure TD LTE 32G/2GHz, Combo TD/FD LTE 32G/2GHz, and the premium TD/FD LTE 64G 2.2GHz "Note 2 Prime".
Hi,
I am looking for a good quality Dual SIM mobile so I would like to ask you about couple of thinks:
1. Does the Second SIM can work with 3G instead like P9 Plus only 2G only? I know data can be only from one SIM but calls from two. Here in AU there is no 2G
2. Does it worth to buy it?
Regards
On a recent trip to Taipei, my AT&T global roaming SIM was my primary (4G on Chunghwa network) while my China Mobile SIM was secondary/phone only (3G on 大哥大 network). So, I believe the phone only secondary SIM is capable of more than just 2G.
However, this looks to be network dependant as when in China and the AT&T SIM is my main driver, the China Telecom SIM stays on 2G.
Thanks for info. I have confirmation from dealer that SIM2 can work on 2G/3G but I am confused because in user manual there is information that second SIM can work only on 2G'.
Can someone confirm it in practice?
Regards
Second SIM should support 3g no issues, see attached screenshot
Is the phone full active or stand by ..
very happy with my mate9 pro - dual sim. LON-L29C636 working great on AT&T in the USA. Only one sim (you can select between SIM1 and SIM2) is for data. I was in the middle east and asia the last few weeks and dual sims worked great (I have AT&T and Singapore (Starhub) SIM's in my phone). This was my note 7 replacement and I've been very happy with it. Amazing battery life and supercharging is fast (but you have to use their dedicated charger/cable or you just get regular charge speeds). i bought mine off ebay (it's a UAE model) and had no problems.
quick question
I am looking to get the mate 9 pro
Are any of you on Tmobile in the USA, and, do you get 4G/LTE?
The reseller I have been emailing with on Amazon says you do NOT get 4GLTE on Tmobile in the USA with this phone, but I have read that you do.
Thanks if you can help with this! :good::good:
Its ok if MODs want to delete this i have posted same thread in Q&A section
Hello,
I am using Redmi Note 3 SD version. I have used it since December 2016 with Jio(India)
It worked perfectly. Now after using it with Vodafone 4G , i faced issue with 4G and most of the time got 3G network which i thought was restricted to that carrier.
Now i switched back to Jio and 4G drops constantly in some areas where other phones work perfectly with same SIM
I unlocked Bootloader flashed old MIUI version and rooted my phone
I installed Network Guru in that
for Band 40(2300) it drops constantly with LTE RACH being Radio Link Failure and Failure at MSG2
When i lock it to BAND 5(850) it works perfectly. Can someone help me find out whats the issue? I would love to get back to using all the bands as this may prevent me from using network in some areas
Hello guys,
I'm from Portugal and I've acquired a redmi 4 prime (markw) NON-global, that being said, I have network issues because my current antenna doesn't support band 20 which is very used by Portugal's mobile operators, atleast that's the information I found.
So, my question is, where can I buy an antenna module or whatever suitable for this phone?
Thank you all for your time,
Cheers.

Before anyone asks, I've confirmed that this is not the global version, I've also tried a couple roms and a new SIM Card in both slots, nothing worked. I've bought this phone a couple years ago, I'm pretty sure there wasn't a global version back then.
