I own a RN3ProSE with latest MIUI and unfortunately UDP/IP TV streams are NOT possible in this, because UDP is disabled completely. I also heard this is by default on ALL MIUI ROMs (googleot for confirmation). So what about the A1 OS? Anyone tested Multicast UDP IP TV? Like you have with Telekom Entertain in Germany?
Thx and regards
Arangato
No one owning A1 and Telekom Entertain?
Really? No one out there?

Most of the workarounds involve a VPN service to access Netflix from outside of the USA with those disadvantages; difficult setups, limited bandwidths.
UnoTelly is a $5 per month DNS redirection service that claims to enable customers outside of the USA to watch Netflix streaming, Hulu, listen to Pandora, and more by redirect your local DNS to their global DNS without slowing your internet connection and streaming speed.

I did and I signed up. I successfully used it to access BBC in the UK and HULU and PBS and other stations in the US. No slow down in bandwidth. Well worth the money.

Works great for me too. I'm from Poland. Now i can listen Spotify and Pandora without any problems with on EVERY device - phone, tablet, wii.
Only what it takes is setting DNS number.

This is working great for me too. I've got an RK3066 TV stick set up with the Netflix app and this massively increases the available library. Very simple to set up just by changing DNS and the experience is pretty seamless.
I've been using Unotelly for about a year now. I setup the DNS settings into our router so that all our devices on our network goes through the Unotelly DNS. It works great.

Simply use hola unblocker! its free and works great!
Look it up on google!
Netflix isn't available outside of the USA? Worked OK in Costa Rica. I was able to use it both on my unlocked 3G Pantech Burst, with a local Kolbi prepaid SIM as well as using my tablet connected to a wifi router that was had a 3G USB stick. My son watched his shows almost daily while we were on vacation a week ago.
Just a heads up as I am an ex pat I was struggling to install iplayer etc even with a smart dns setting,
I purchased a vpn from vpn unlimited they were, maybe still offering.
"OH still available for 7 days from the post date $19 3 years VPN http://goo.gl/st407o " well less of that.
I am Unrooted so No VPN possible, Well if you are desperate I installed the vpn on my PC and used a great free app
http://virtualrouter.codeplex.com/
Set up a WiFi hotspot which shared the country selectable VPN. Shown above,, connected the firetv and guess what all was fine, I even measured 7mbs download speed (on pc) and video played fine on firetv
After all of that I found out my appstore was registered to the USA so that was one of the problems soon changed that in devices and settings on amazon.com, carried on and installed all the UK free apps I desired.
TV catchup is working on my PC so I am off to try the app on my firetv
The only requirement to watch out for is the black listeded ip adresses for updates may not be blocked yet, I am investigating. it should be possible as it uses open vpn as a core.
Enjoy
UPDATE Tvcatchup works fine abroad , just get the apk off aptoide
Another solution also is to setup a VPN Wifi Router in your house using a Raspberry PI.
I did that and I'm very happy.
I still need some tweaking but getting there.
Next step will be to build an iPhone application that can control it (restart, change country,...)
Let me know if you want a procedure, I can send you the one I follow. I'm also planning to do one myself with some changes.
The only thing is that you will need a VPN provider that is compatible with OpenVPN.
I got a ddwrt router costing me £10. Has VPN and smartdns built in. Works brilliantly.
Hi nufclad, can you tell me which router you are using, ive been recently looking into trying this myself
Thanks
Hi Si,
Sure, its the DIR-615.. I think most revisions now work too . Mines rivision d4.
Pick them up really cheaply. I got mine on Gumtree brand new boxed. But eBay its between £8-£15.
Really can't fault it.
Thanks nufclad,il keep an eye out
On CM12.1 that i found awesome, unfortunately i must give it up on it. It's not possible to give MOJO a static IP and change the DNS?!!
In Portugal, illegally the Protection of the Authors are closing some legal websites because of inspection of piracy. There are now thousands of claims regarding this problem, and the parties in government are fighting against each other because of this. But, if we change the DNS of the operator for the Google DNS problem is solved. On the other hand, I've got several computers and consoles at home and I like to manage my network using static IP's.
Ok...it possible to do it in MOJO on WIFI advanced...but i've got 200MB speed on fiber internet, so MOJO connected by wired Ethernet is totally different and much more faster in all tasks related.
I went to REMIX 2.0, that already got this option, but I'me really marveled with CM12.1.... but CM12 don't have the Ethernet Data Tracker enabled I supposed. There are any trick to do this and access advanced connections on Ethernet?
Thank you all for your tries :good:
Since yesterday I can't access NBC on the fire stick (4k). I am abroad, but I have tried two different VPN providers and several servers (Express and Nord) that have worked before. The error I am getting just says that I have been disconnected. Does anyone know what the issue could be, and how to overcome it?
Accessing content on my pc using the same VPN services seems to be working without a problem.
i live outside usa and use nord vnp but cannot watch amazon video
https://support.nordvpn.com/General...-securely-watch-Amazon-Prime-with-NordVPN.htm
they said it not supported on android os
Try using an obfuscated server or dedicated US IP.
Hi,
i have a wifi network consisting of a AVM 7590 wifi router and a AVM 1750E repeater which is currently configured as an additional AP.
According to some research this AVM "mesh" network makes use of the 802.11k and 802.11v protocols.
I understand these need to be supported by the user device in order to make full use of seamless roaming.
As I am not experiencing any seamless roaming (my OP6T disconnects from 1 AP and reconnects to the stronger one, no handover), I did some investigating and I could not find any info on our beloved OP6T if it supports these protocols.
Does our OP6T support 802.11k and 802.11v ?
Anybody else have similiar issues ?
I'm running the latest OOS stable on my OP6T.
I am not sure it's worth the headache of trying to get them to talk, from what I remember the ROUTERS talk through that frequency but do not speak to devices "phones, laptops, etc"
Could be wrong. But i am surrounded by a cable and satellite company for 24 years, and about 3,000 unused routers. Haha
