Hi guys,
I have updated my blu vivo 5r to Nougat and installed TWRP.
The backup keeps on failing. Has anyone successfully backed up Nougat using TWRP on this phone?
Thanks.
Charlotte.
Try to install new TWRP from: https://forum.xda-developers.com/vivo-5r/how-to/twrp-recovery-nougat-7-0-t3701235
Thanks, Mirozeman.
I reverted back to Marshmallow. I will try again if I go back to Nougat.

Hello,
Anyone could help me with this problem:-
I have already rooted my Note 2 N7100 with Omni 4.4.2 Nightly but somehow, on software update, with an update available after checking it, I was unable to flash it successfully. There was an error. I have checked SuperSU as to install SuperSu backup script as I believe it would help me to do update on the current build but I could not do that as it requires installing SuperSu into/system (converting into a system app) first but when I have tried to install and later rebooted my device, it was still the same. On Custom Rom, I could not install supersu backup script and when trying to flash update (after checking it and update is available, it was again not successful.
Any advice?

Flash SuperSU in recovery and then you should be able to install the backup script.
SM-A310F (Galaxy A3 2016) is rooted and runs currently with 6.0.1
My phone will reboot everytime if i trying to flash my created custom rom and / or trying to delete some files by adb over shell (from system). Same happed with 5.1.1
Phone is correctly rooted and latest TWRP is installed. Backup/Restore works perfectly but no flashing files which contains system files. Can someone help. I want to test my custom rom before deploying to XDA
Any help is much appreciated.

i have same problem. did you solve?"
not at all. Trying to find a solution. I think an other root method is needed, cause you can't modify system in /
Switching back to 5.1.1

Problems are solved. If you had installed 6.0.1 by default, use the latest TWRP via Odin, after that, whithout rooting first.
Boot into TWRP, flash latest Update-SuperSU, reboot. You are able to delete Systemfiles without reboot, also activate Adaware.

Hello,
I tried to install the new Nougat rom for jiayu S3, but it was unsuccessful. Phone got soft bricked, but I recovered it with a twrp backup.
My OS is android 4.4.4, and TRWP is 2.8. After installing the new rom , an installation error appeared and phone did not work.
I wonder it it's due to twrp 2.8, but I can't install twrp 3 (S3_h560_TWRP_3.0.2-0). There was an installation error with flashify...
The question is: can I install 7.0 from 4.4? Is it an Android problem, a TWRP issue, or just my clumsiness?
Thank you!

in short:
To go from 4.4.4 to Nougat you need to go via LP RC5 via flashify using firmware upgrade.
This is because the partition layout is different from KK to LP onwards.
Then you can flash Nougat using TWRP (which will be version 3)
Thank you very much for your answer.
Please forgive me for my ignorance but, which LP ROM should I download? Can I install it via flashify, via TWRP 2.8, o flash?
Thank you again!
You can not use Flashify, you have to do it using Flashtools (with a PC) to go from KK to LP. Download LP 5.1.1 RC 5 from MAD.

thanks to correct me, I thought Flashtools was meant
Well, I'm in trouble now... I installed successfully 5.1 in my S3, but when updated twrp 2.8 to 3.0, it did not work, so I can't install Nougat...
Now I have no twrp, and no root. How can I root to install twrp? I can't install superSU neither....
I'm sorry if it has been already answered but I can't find it.
Thanks a lot
I re-installed LP with Flash tools and everything worked right. (In twrp , it says 2.8 version, instead of 3.0, though).
Now I installed Nougat, and everything is ok.
Thank you for your excellent job!
I want to know anyone Safely Rooted SM-C9000 Nougat 7.1 HK variant mobile..? with the previous way like we safely Rooted Marshmallow with Twrp 3.1.1-0..? Or is there other way to Root Nougat Rom..? Or other files or different step..?
Thanks
I also want to know ? then i will root
Maybe @travis82 knows about it he updated a twrp for new bootloaders and the procedure of Root he can guide step by step
And @travis82 is busy i think ??

Are you sure it really works?
Not a Bootloop or a Brick, right?
I thought this version of TWRP was only for Marshmallow. Will all features (backup data, data restore etc.) work?
please, I need your answer.

Yes
Backup your data and follow steps
You can root with SuperSu or MagiskRoot !
Magisk root can hide your root from apps like (snapchat or ..) recommend !
I test both (supersu & magisk) and work perfect !
I installed Xposed too !

yes, I tried yesterday and it worked fine.
The most important thing to do here is to make Format Data. If you do not format data, it stays in the bootloop.
I noticed that I can not remove system applications with applications such as Link2sd. Titanium backup works; but sometimes he stayed in the bootloop.
Probably at Nougat, we can not remove system applications nor include updates in the system.
(I'm sorry for my bad english. greetings from Istanbul)

Yesterday im removed secure folder and didn't get bootloop or any problem.
Don't update Nougat rom ? there are many bug's issues in it check my post https://forum.xda-developers.com/c9-pro/help/c9000-nougat-issues-fingerprint-sound-t3732022

I've tried it in many applications; but it does not remove system applications.(Link2sd, system app remover etc.)
System applications were not deleted when I restarted phone.
Only the Titanium Backup application can delete system applications. Sometimes it's a bootloop (I think it's from me).
I uninstalled the applications manually with Root Explorer.
This morning i received the android 10 ota update on my k20(davinciin). I have twrp and magisk installed and since ota updates fail with twrp installed I simply unrooted my device which replaced twrp with stock recovery. On installing the OTA it says installation failed 'update.zip is corrupt'. Need help.
Why didn't you install through twrp? Just download ROM and install
