Did you boot to recovery and clear cache? Was it a substratum theme? Did you deleted substratum folder? You should give some more information...

can i use HDPI themes on my Optimus One?sorry, i really don't know,.what would happen if i tried them? thanks!
You can install only MDPI themes on O1,
Once, I tried to install HDPI theme in CM7, but I got an error saying that it was improperly compiled for my device ( theme chooser )....so, I guess you'll get an error too, although you could try ....
BTW that theme do you want to install ... ?

Theme chooser is an app that comes with cyanogen roms (it will not work in stock)
you download the theme chooser theme apk install it then you apply the theme from the theme chooser app

use any cm7 rom for our device
if you want the statusbar to be transparent although the theme may contain transparency for the statusbar it will only work if you patch your systemui.apk
there is guide in my sig on how to do that yourself or you can use the pre-done systemui.apk which is included in my cm7 themes
all links in my signature

It is Xposed module to tweak look of statusbar. (colours, gradient colour like Android 4.4 Kitkat etc.)
This link will take you to required module. (You need Xposed Framework installed and activate this module)

Press Thanks if helped.

I have downloaded themes using the stock theme app and they always apply. The app gives a toast "theme applied" and exits. But even after rebooting, the new theme is not showing.. It is as if the theme app is broken or does not correctly apply themes.
The only theme that is working is the default Obsidian(magazine). And after applying any new theme, the default Obsidian still remains.
I have cleared app cache & data and even tested applying new themes with Xposed disabled but that has not worked so far.
Am on MM.
Anybody with a solution to this issue?
Have you tried FIRST apply obsidian (even if you are on obsidian), and AFTER THAT apply any other theme?
(hint from sokkoban)

Are you using xposed ?
Are you using xposed? And also on what version are you on? Are you trying the correct themes? (for example if you are on lollipop (EMUI 3.1) you can use every theme made for the EMUI 4.0, 4.1.x etc).
No , but now I install Xposed
Then I try to change theme
It's applying OK
But font never change, still the stock one

Hey guys, as you know google is using a blue accent color for their system UI, sadly (IMO) essential is using a green accent and i would love to change this.
maybe someone knows how to change this accent color somewhere, maybe in the build prop or in the system.ui itself?
i attached a screenshot of which parts of the system ui i mean, its the notifcation area.
hoping for some usefull answers
EDIT: Simple as that, just use an substratum theme (pixel theme in my case)
Substratum works on 9?
Sai theme pie from telegram is the best subs theme
does it require root? In oreo Sai's theme worked without root.

Also note....don't build the initial Sai with Navigation selected. Do the Settings, quick settings, UI etc..but don't select Navigation..anytime I've done that, then rebooted the first time, bootloop.
Then, once you enable it in the manager, go back and select Navigation and build/enable it in the Themes section. Then, reboot and it will magically change you quick tile settings to the black/blue color. Found this method out experimenting, on the latest beta/build as well on Pie. You shouldn't have to go into Manager and select Navigation, it will be gold in color, different from the others, but it will be enabled and working on the quick tiles.
Good luck.
We have a mod coming out to change the accents..stay tuned

Not possible no matter what without root. U could manually install the files while rooted, then unroot and it will be there but why....
