Cannot update firmware

Hi I just bought a SGS from T-Mobile and unlocked it. When I went to update firmware I'm getting "Device Version Cannot Be Updated" message I have android 2.1 and wish to update. What can I do?

Check with TMobile that they have updated the firmware .

I suggest to clear all with odin and do upgrade no brand

I can't go to t-mobile I bought the mobile on ebay and we don't have t-mobile here.
I will try to see what I can do with odin after I learn a little more about this stuff because I'm a complete noob.
I'll keep posting if I get stuck some were and to let you know how it goes.
Hopefully I won't destroy my brand new mobile.

[Q] Not receiving XXUBNG7 OTA Update

I just recently found out about the G7 update for Grand 2 KitKat and people claim that fixes a lot of Lag issues so i've been trying to update my phone. I was on Turbo V2 rom then i flashed back to the Official 4.4.2 G4 INU Frimware from sammobile. but whenever i try updating it just says "The latest updates have already been installed" I tried flashing the INS frimware too but it says the same "The latest updates have already been installed" am i doing something incorrectly? if so, any kind of help would be appreciated. Nope, i havent tried updating it via kies yet. I just wanted to make sure if i actually CAN update it to G7 via Kies first. and Turbo is pretty good. Bloatwares removed, Partial S5 Like UI and not Over-Modded either. Its actually pretty good if you ask me :victory:

try it then...hell the gennxt rom messed my phone... should have tried this 1..and if you update to G7 and use turbo rom,can you go back to stock???or it will fail in odin??

Same is happening with me on ins firmware.. I am on ins now.... Software update shows latest updates already installed... Should I flash INU firmware?
Any solution?

g7 update was only provide to inu version grand 2 by the way you can wait for few days as a new update has already started rolling out in other countries which is g8 check sammobile website hope we would also get the update pretty soon....

can we updated our g7 to g8 then? i have updated my phone from g4 to g7 and i do rooted i also waitng for g7 stcok to unroot my phone by flasing it. i face some problem like while disabling sim 1 and only using sim 2 and req ussd code and try to call it says mobile network not available when there is full signal but i dont see g7 but i see g8 in samsung updates,com for other countries .

I Flashed INU...still didnt get any update....my friend got the G7 update in his phone....Strange! i dont get it in INS or INU...
GPS lock doesnt work in G4....

Nougat 7.0 official firmware S7 Edge Australia Flash

Hi guys,
Sorry if this has been asked already, did a search and nothing came up.
Is there any nougat 7.0 firmware that I can flash in Odin that will work okay with Telstra network in Australia?
I have the Nougat Beta 1 currently on there but would like the official update but it still looks like being a few months away before OTA here.
I checked Sammobile and they only list 6.0 Marshmallow updates for Aus. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Telstra have the OTA coming out now if you want to be legit, otherwise I've had the XSA one on my phone since release working great

hey guys, i have been on CRAP update and wanted to update to the newest one since im not getting OTA updates, the thing is im downloading from Samobile and other sites as normal user and time needed to finish is like 2 days for 3.5gb.. so anyone can share a google docs link or somethign that can help me install faster? thanks

Samsung Galaxy S8+ SM-G955U NOT UPDATING

Hi.
I have a G955U Galaxy S8+ AT&T Factory Unlocked on Android 7.0
Baseband Version: G955USQU1AQC9
Android Security Patch Level - April 1, 2017
I no longer live in the US, and currently in the Philippines. Phone works great and the signal is too and all, but I cannot get OTA updates. Every time i try to update it says that its up to date.
I have tried different ways to update it that i read online, The latest one that I have tried is following the steps given from this Thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s8+/how-to/sprint-released-oreo-s8-s8-flashing-t3915872 but it gave me this output https://prnt.sc/oqjnp6
My phone is not rooted or anything just a normal phone. I am just trying to update it to the latest Android Version 9.0(Pie) , I just made this thread for the reason of maybe someone can help me on updating my phone.

Where you able to update it? Or are you still having issues?
