Problem with landscape mode iGo Primo 9.6.29.483387 - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hi! Could You help me with landscape mode in my iGo? Here are the details:
Tablet Huawei Tab T3 7, resolution 1024x600. I have working iGo app, installed on internal memory. Information about version in app says its iGo Primo 9.6.29.483387, although icon is iGo Israel. In vertical mode it works properly, in horizontal I've got message:
ERROR User interface resolution [976x600] is not supported or compatible skin can not be found. Exiting application.

Can anyone tell me, what's wrong? Thanks very much and sorry for my bad english...
I think its because you have created a orientation theme - inclose looks for tdywater.gif and as yours are named tdywater_240_320.gif & tdywater_320_240.gif it uses default windows one. Change your theme to a standard format and it will work.
btw with what software did you make the theme? And nice looking theme
I have it and maybe
Jimm98y.. i use inclose too and if im not mistaken you want that blue part to be taking off inclose correct.. well if you do you need to go to the inclose settings and in background just click none it will be white, but i dont know why when you click current theme its allways blue, as for user image its tuff to do that.. Hope that helps
Josh

OK. I'm going to try it but I hoped there is some registry key which can change it.

Thanks. I made it with notepad, paintbrush and cabwiz.exe, because the other programs (like themegence) looks too complicated and cannot offer such possibilities.

Yes, I know about it, but I would like to have a "transparent menu". I tried to use my own picture in background, but it doesn't work in landscape because there cannot be set 2 pictures.
Thanks very much now it works fine. Here is the final version of this skin for anyone who is interested in:
How did you do it
Jimm98y.. How did you get to be transperant.. i tried reading the other messages but i cant get it.. coul d you help?

Initiate a VoIP call via RTC API on WM6

Hello everyone, it's my first post here.
Please help me with a small problem:
I have a WM6 device (Glofiish X800) with a VoIP enabled (WM6VoIP.cab). Built-in VoIP dialer works perfectly with my sipnet.ru profile.
Now I'm trying to initiate a VoIP call from my application. I use RTC API for this (rtcdll.dll etc.). I've got headers from the RTC Client API v.1.3 SDK for desktop.
Here are the examples I follow: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms775274(VS.85).aspx
Everything compiles and runs ok, the objects get created, I even receive RTC events through IRTCEventNotification.
But when I try to enable and register my profile (exactly the same to which I provisioned and it worked), I receive RTCRS_ERROR state with the status 0x800703EB (ERROR_CAN_NOT_COMPLETE).
Code:
ThrowIfFailed(::CoCreateInstance(CLSID_RTCClient, NULL, CLSCTX_INPROC_SERVER, IID_IRTCClient, OUT (LPVOID*)(&client_))) ;
ThrowIfFailed(client_->Initialize()) ;
ThrowIfFailed(client_->QueryInterface(IID_IRTCClientProvisioning, OUT (LPVOID*) &prov_)) ;
ThrowIfFailed(client_->put_EventFilter(RTCRF_REGISTER_ALL)) ;
{
CComPtr<IConnectionPointContainer> connPtCont ;
ThrowIfFailed(client_->QueryInterface(IID_IConnectionPointContainer, OUT (void**)&connPtCont)) ;
ThrowIfFailed(connPtCont->FindConnectionPoint(IID_IRTCEventNotification, OUT &connPt_)) ;
CComPtr<IUnknown> myUnknown ;
ThrowIfFailed(QueryInterface(IID_IUnknown, OUT (void**)&myUnknown)) ;
ThrowIfFailed(connPt_->Advise(myUnknown, OUT &handlerConnectionCookie_)) ;
}
static const PCTSTR KProfileXml =
L"<provision key='1232ab01' name='SIPNET'>"
L" <provider name='SIPNET' />"
L" <user account='sim123456' password='s1i2m3'"
L" uri='sip:[email protected]'"
L" allowedauth='digest'/>"
L" <sipsrv addr='sipnet.ru:5060' protocol='UDP' role='proxy'>"
L" <session party='first' type='pc2pc' />"
L" <session party='first' type='pc2ph' />"
L" </sipsrv>"
L" <sipsrv addr='sipnet.ru:5060' protocol='UDP' role='registrar'/>"
L"</provision>"
;
CComBSTR profileXmlBstr(KProfileXml) ;
ThrowIfFailed(prov_->CreateProfile(profileXmlBstr, OUT &profile_)) ;
ThrowIfFailed(prov_->EnableProfile(profile_, RTCRF_REGISTER_ALL)) ;
I tried to pass 0 to EnableProfile() (to avoid registration) and then make a call.
I call CreateSession() and then AddParticipant(), then I receive RTCSS_INPROGRESS with status 0 and then RTCSS_DISCONNECTED with status 0x800703EB (ERROR_CAN_NOT_COMPLETE).
Code:
ThrowIfFailed(client_->CreateSession(RTCST_PC_TO_PHONE, 0, profile_, RTCCS_FORCE_PROFILE, OUT &session_)) ;
CComBSTR other(L"sip:[email protected]") ;
CComPtr<IRTCParticipant> participant ;
ThrowIfFailed(session_->AddParticipant(other, 0, OUT &participant)) ;
Please, anyone, if you've tried this at home, tell me what am I doing wrong?
The device is in flight mode, connected via ActiveSync USB, internet is accessible.
Here is the event handling code:
Code:
HRESULT CRtcDialog::Event( RTC_EVENT RTCEvent, IDispatch *pEvent )
{
PRINTF1(_CRtcDialog, "RTCEvent = %d", RTCEvent) ;
if (RTCEvent == RTCE_REGISTRATION_STATE_CHANGE)
return HandleRegistrationStateChange(pEvent) ;
if (RTCEvent == RTCE_SESSION_STATE_CHANGE)
return HandleSessionStateChange(pEvent) ;
return S_OK ;
}
HRESULT CRtcDialog::HandleRegistrationStateChange(IDispatch *pIDispatch)
{
ThrowIfNull(pIDispatch) ;
CComPtr<IRTCRegistrationStateChangeEvent> regChangeEvent ;
ThrowIfFailed(pIDispatch->QueryInterface(IID_IRTCRegistrationStateChangeEvent, OUT (void**)&regChangeEvent)) ;
HRESULT hr ;
RTC_REGISTRATION_STATE regState ;
hr = regChangeEvent->get_State(OUT &regState) ;
CComBSTR statusText ;
hr = regChangeEvent->get_StatusText(OUT &statusText) ;
long statusCode = 0 ;
hr = regChangeEvent->get_StatusCode(OUT &statusCode) ;
PRINTF3(_CRtcDialog, "regState = %d (0x%08X: %s)", regState, statusCode, statusText) ;
return S_OK ;
}
Thanks in advance.

IGO8 Startup
IGO8 needs resources. The Titan has very little resources. You may need a soft boot before running or disable some things like touchflow2d. I have mine fully working but can be troublesome if many other programs are stored internally. Your Sys.txt file indicates you run TMC and other functions - I doubt it is a correct setup or legal copy.
Did it ever work? Mine works well but you should not use the TTS modification, voice warnings for speed cameras, car replacements instead of plain cursors, and only enable a limited POI icon set (if using enabled custom icons). There are no problems with 3D terrain or city 3D buildings with my setup.
Your faital error is probably during startup. The version of IGO8 should be a '08-09 version using the latest from NavNGo (I use the Sept '08 build). It uses minimal resources. Your Data.zip must support your resolution 320x240 and 240x320. Do not use a custom skin or custom scheme until you have it working. I have a minimal sys.txt file:

I use only the internal GPS without data connection unless I'm WIFI'ing. I use a custom ROM too. I have two other real GPS units I'd rather use than the phone --- but in a bind, I'll turn the phone on. GOOD LUCK, it is possible...

[REQ]script to unload manilla and start an app

Basically i need a script to unload TF3D, start iGO8 and maybe launching TF3D again when exiting iGO. I want this because iGO needs the RAM wich TF is using.
P.S.: I really tried to create my own script but i got stuck, so it's not like i didn't tried.
Code:
RegWriteDWord( "HKLM", "SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Today\Items\TouchFLO 3D", "Enabled", 0 )
RedrawToday
sleep( 200 )
Runwait( "\Program Files\iGo8\igo8.exe" )
RegWriteDWord( "HKLM", "SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Today\Items\TouchFLO 3D", "Enabled", 1 )
RedrawToday
sleep( 200 )

done this and it shows me:
Invalid parameter count for 'RegWriteDWord'
Line:
RegWriteDWord( "HKLM", "Software\Microsoft\Today\Items\TouchFLO 3D" ,
I've checked and the registry key exists.

I've got a Mortscript script on my phone that does this. I borrowed it from somewhere and changed it to launch CamerAware and then iGo8 and then restart TF3D when iGo exits. I'll post it later when I have my phone handy.

have you the last Mortscript? If not, install it, since the script works on my device
yep. I have the latest mortscript and just to be sure i've tested several versions. Still no solution.

4.3b11? If so, try this one
Code:
RegWriteExt( "HKLM", "SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Today\Items\TouchFLO 3D", "Enabled", "dword:00000000" )
RedrawToday
sleep( 1000 )
Runwait( "\Program Files\iGo8\igo8.exe" )
RegWriteExt( "HKLM", "SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Today\Items\TouchFLO 3D", "Enabled", "dword:00000001" )
RedrawToday
Great! It works! Thank you, bbonzz.

[Q] IGO8 on HTC Mini HD

I've installed IG08 on my HTC Mini HD.
When starting the program, I receive the message: Program application database cannot be found. Please insert origninal SD card.
I have in the sys.txt in Program files on HTC:
[folders]
app="\Storage Card\iGO8"
sdcardpath="\Storage Card\iGO8"
content="\Storage Card\iGO8\CONTENT"
[rawdisplay]
screen_x=480
screen_y=320
class="landscape"
driver=GX
highres=0
stretch=0
[interface]
maxzoom2d=6000000
laneinfo_signpost_enabeled=1

show_exit=1
resolution_dir="480_320"
vga=0
[3d_config]

[3d]
car_day="quad.mdl"
car_day_ghost="quad.mdl"
car_night="quad.mdl"
car_night_ghost="quad.mdl"
show_guidance_strip=1
show_guidance_arrows=0
[map]
auto_nightmode=0
2dheadup=1
3dcarsizemin=1000

3dcarsizemul=50000
[sound]
sound_q_length=200
queue_length=250
ding=0
[feature]
signpost_coloring=1
[msnd]
I have the same sys.txt on the SD Card
On my HTC, the SD card is known as 'Opslagkaart2'
I have removed (as suggested in another thread) the sys.txt in the IGO8 folder on the HTC and started again the application. I did not recreate a new sys.txt as was mentionned in another thread, so I restored the sys.txt file. I also removed the lines
[folders]
app="\Storage Card\iGO8"
sdcardpath="\Storage Card\iGO8"
content="\Storage Card\iGO8\CONTENT"
but this does not help either.
What's going wrong.
Thx for some help.

sorry,but this is the wrong place for your phone.To help you solve your problem and get your answer quicker,here is the correct forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=591
hope that helps
cheers
^ indeed, the HD mini section was not removed, rather moved to "legacy and low activity"
however, I might be able to help you without going there.. you said you removed these lines:
[folders]
app="\Storage Card\iGO8"
sdcardpath="\Storage Card\iGO8"
content="\Storage Card\iGO8\CONTENT"
did you try to put these lines instead?
[folders]
app="\Opslagkaart2\iGO8"
sdcardpath="\Opslagkaart2\iGO8"
content="\Opslagkaart2\iGO8\CONTENT"
try this and let me know (via PM), and next time, post in the right section
