Reset Bixby Button action when phone is locked/off - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

Hi!
At one point I was asked if the bixby button should work when phone is off, I toggled it and now I regret it. I want to revert that back but don't know where.
BTW I'm using Magisk with bixby disabler to trigger google voice instead of bixby, but I think I toggled a system setting and not one of Magisk or the module. (there was also a toggle for the headset button on the dialog I saw)
Can sometime help me with this plz. Looked through all phone settings but couldn't find it.

Long press home button google assistant function

Hello guys,
i have stock P9 Lite, and the one thing that is driving me crazy is the Home long press button Google assistant pop-up. I Know you can turn off the assistant application by switching it to "none" under help and phone input in the phone settings, i did that, the fucntion got disabled successfully, but after couple of hours ( usually during the night ) it magically comes back to be turned on again....
Should i disable somewhere something more also?
Thanks

Personally i am using Swipeup Utility (sorry no link new user can't link) . You can set it at the long press handler and then you set it to do no action (or select one of custom actions)
https://android.gadgethacks.com/how...ndroid-device-switch-back-google-now-0174676/ try this if can help you
You have to set the custom action "Google Now On Tap" to long press home button, it will open google assistant because now on tap was replaced by assistant.
Disable google app

Xposed module or custom rom that make bixby button works as camera button

Hi i want to tell a a idea to make custom rom or xposed module that make bixby button work as camera button like old sony ericcson xperia becose i thing camera button is more usefull then bixby button
There's a few apps out there, go to the Play Store and search for "Bixby". No module nor ROM needed, but root most definitely required for those apps as they disable or enable Bixby Home and Bixby Voice (I deleted both and now can't get the thing to work at all).
You can use BxActions. If you are rooted I found Button Mapper by flar2 a better solution as it does the remapping seamlessly and has single tap, double tap and long press mapping.

Bixby Remap Conflict

Hi All,
I remapped my bixby button using bxactions. All is working well. I've set it to google assist extra.
However when I go to setting phone assistance app in advanced features in phone settings there seems to be a conflict.
When I change the long press home button to firefox, it changes the the bixby buttons function to firefox also!
Ideally I want the bixby button for google and long press the home button to something else (ex. firefox). But it seems the 2 buttons cant be independent of each other.
Anyone else have this issue.

T-Mobile version of 6t missing features?

I recently bought the T-Mobile variant of the OnePlus 6t and I was watching a video about some features that could be turned on and one of the features they were talking about was a long press the power button to activate Google Assistant when I go into settings and go to the button and gestures tab there is no option to turn on the long press for Google Assistant the only option there is a double tap for camera.? Is this something that was removed from the T-Mobile version only and if so does anyone know a way to get that feature back or even an app to add the feature?
I was wondering about this also.

Supposedly it's coming in an update.
Already well covered here. It's not there yet. Some say it will supposedly come with one of the updates. I haven't seen anything officially stating that. So take it for what it's worth. There are plenty of ways to launch it though, gestures, long press the home button if you have one, or just set up "Hey Google".

Not on the T-Mobile version.
It only has options for long press/double press of home, recent, back buttons. Not for power button.
Which means if you do the guestures only navbar option, there's no button press for assistant.
Unless you install the app and just put a shortcut on the home screen.

Sorry I missed long press power, had home on my brain
But long press home brings up Google Search Assistant - same as if you said "OK Google"
That's the default that I see and get from following PapaMag's suggestion - granted its not the power button but if you are looking for search Google search assistant - its there

Well the whole reason you would use the power button is if you used only gestures and had no nav bar.
It is also missing a huge feature called quick launch. It for whatever reason is missing from the T-Mobile variant and without going through the troubles of flashing to stock can anyone help or find a solution as to how to reenable it?

Accessibility Issue

I have a Black Shark 2 Pro and decided to replace the home launcher with Nova Prime but after I press the home button a few time with would sometimes asked me again to re-enable the accessibility of Nova.
Check Nova's permissions and Battery Optimization (should be off/not optimized).
It has been a known bug since day one and hasn't been fixed ever since. You can change the locking method of your Nova by making it as admin device. Take note that this will disable fingerprint security.
I hope we get a patch for this, my friend has CN Rom and it seems to be working fine.
Okay so, Im not sure yet but I hope I fixed it, can anyone confirm this
Go to apps, then to default apps, select assist and voice input press the google icon and select "none"
by removing the Home Button Long Press functionality for the assist app I think that removed the complications of the Home Button
For me accessibility resets whenever I press the home button successively in a row, but since I removed the assist app until now Ive been pressing the home button and..... it never asked for accessibility. I pressed it like 50 times now, fast press, slow press, nothing.
I guess I fixed it? Can anyone try and confirm?
