For those that are unable to boot a custom recovery (limited reports so far) the following should work. Well it did on mine!
1) Flash custom recovery
2) Fastboot erase cache
3) From bootloader select factory reset - this will load the custom recovery.
Hope this helps.

Doesn't work for everyone.
Flashing recovery on boot partition can help too - MAKE SURE ALL ZIP FILES ARE ON THE PHONE FIRST : Rom.zip, SUperSU.ZIP, recovery.img, boot.img
> fastboot flash boot recovery.img (not the touch one!)
Flash rom and SU from recovery
reboot phone in bootloader
> fastboot fash boot boot.img
> fastboot erase cache
Enjoy
I had problems until I turned off quick boot in system settings. Spent hours flashing different recoveries etc until I found that tip !

Yeah this one really should work. If you get a bootloop, Hold power+vol down for about 45 secs, u should get into bootloader than to "reflash" Superboot.img / boot.img from custom firmware
VOL down + power

I had problems with installing the recovery as well.
But you might try the AIO toolkit and just install CWM from there.
Recovery wouldn't start on my phone after that either, but I turned my phone off and pressed Volume Down + Power until the screen showed the bootloader again (keeping them pressed somewhere around 10 sec I think). So do not release the buttons, but keep pressing them. Miraculously the recovery than worked (tested with both CWM and TWRP...)
Never installed the CWM as boot.img...

As far as I read this thread you forgot to turn off the DM-Verify option in TWRP after install and rebooted immediately.....
Hate to break it to you but your currently installed OS is now pretty much dead now. Had the same issue when I first tried it.
You need to install a clean MIUI ROM first via fastboot and MIFlash-Tool. Then proceed to install TWRP again. When TWRP is booted the first time it will ask your permission to Modify the System. Swipe to confirm that (needed for most operations TWRP is able to do).
After you allow the system modify part, you are in TWRPs main menu. Tap on "Advanced", then tap on "Disable DM-Verify". Once again swipe to confirm.
After that, you should be able to have TWRP on your device and should be able to boot normally to MIUI... or you go straight ahead and flash a new Custom Rom.
thank you.
So i will need to download a new rom (any suggestion on which one is good? i did install twrp because my vendor rom didn't work with local 3g and LTE) and install it with the miui flash tool. Than repeat the twrp installation but disable dm-verify first, (than reinstall super su?),and at the end reboot.
No need to clear anything?
i flashed the global stable rom from the xiaomi flash tool it say successful and took just a second but i am stuck still on mi logo....
Is your phone unlocked?
In fastboot fastboot oem device-info
i unlocked it just one day before with permission message from xiaomi.
Next time used cofface twrp for redmi 3S: http://en.miui.com/thread-244098-1-1.html

Ez. Go to fastboot mode, flash again the whole ROM and flash your TWRP again. Don't forget to disable DM-verify. It stuck at logo not because of you forgot to root your device, is because of you forget to disable DM-verify.
Hello, I failed to install a custom ROM and now when it gets to eRecovery mode I only have the options to reboot, shutdown and download latest verison and recovery. Of course, the download option doesn't work. I tried to get it back to the stock, the adb sees the device only when it's powered off, and it says unauthorized. The only time the fastboot devices show something is when the phone is in the fastboot mode I think and on the phone it displays: PHONE Unlocked and FRP unlock
When i try to fastboot flash system.img it says that FAILED <remote: Command not allowed>.
I tried to search for answers, can anyone help me please? I am doing this for 2 days...
LATER EDIT: I flashed boot, recovery, system. And now the options i have are: reboot system now, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition. wipe data/factory reset just stops after 20%. What can I do?
Which device variant are you using? Which custom ROM did you try to install ? I think it would be better to post on the ROM's post...
Anyway fastboot should be use to flash recovery only, not a system. I'll recommand you to grab TWRP, install it via fastboot (fastboot flash recovery twrp_image_name.img . When it is installed, reboot recovery , back up product and vendor, Wipe everything and flash stock ROM.
Hi, I've been trying to get out of this situation for days.
My mi 9t went into boot loop after having wipe a twrp wipe.
Now if I try to flash a ROM it returns the antiroolback error check because my arb is 1 and the rom I find is 0.
I can't even install the twrp anymore, the installation process with fastboot is successful but it always restarts in fastboot and not in recovery.
Can someone help me?

Download this TWRP'S:
1. CHINESE TWRP - https://mega.nz/#!dVYX3SzT!CN2lTDmF3xmMlEw-LbU9xDWcFFmFdjcB_ZR1vnk_Gas
2. RUSSIAN TWRP - https://mega.nz/#!AcAlVITI!p15vuiNoSDxhViGzW1PhZwuAI9hMi3_k9FFzYiiLhoM
After installation one of these two (your choice ) TWRP'S, you can boot to your rom or:
1. FORMAT /data partition (NEVER wipe System or Persist!)
2. Copy ROM to the internal storage,
3. Install ROM,
4. Reboot,
5. Done!!!
Download Fastboot Rom
Extract
Reboot phone to fastboot
Open cmd
Go Inside folder
Type fastboot flash system system.img
Fastboot Flash Recovery recovery.img
Done
My TWRP recovery was erased when I back to official rom even I hadnt mark that option in twrp recovery. Now when I go till fastboot to instal TWRP I can only do 2 commands then it stops working , but I need 3 commands to instal the twrp. HOW do I FIX it? pleeeease
I have installed the right drivers and every step before it works completly fine.
The fastboot mode screen stay frozen then the phone turns off
Fastboot devices ok
Fastboot oem nubia_unlock NUBIA_Z17 NX563J ok
Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img not ok, just frozen screen then turns off
It has the last nubia official rom
Can I use the official local update app in manual update to flash recovery?
I need it so much to install gapps
Or do exist another whey to install gapps no Nubia Z17 without TWRP?

give you a easy app for flash TWRP3.2.3,but is chinese.unzip the zip file。if phone is turn on.(Developer options should be turned on)type 2 and clik "ENTER".best is phone on BL(Turn off the phone, press and hold the volume - button and power button at the same time to enter BL mode.).then type 3 and clik "ENTER".when you see "OK",then Use the volume keys to select recovery mode, then press the power key.
I have tried and I make mistakes. ''waiting for any device''
