[Q] Printing without WiFi

Hi there.
I would like to help a friend purchase an A500 tablet. They do not have WiFi but a MiFi. How do they print? This is one of the reasons they want to purchase a tablet. They do not have a PC, or a laptop, and don't want on. They want an A500, a printer and a MiFi. That's all.
How do they print? I presume you can't just stick any USB printer into the USB port and make it work. Any special app to make it work?
Thanks for your help.
This article might help them out. It lists quite a few options for doing exactly what they want... As long as what they want includes buying the appropriate printer...
Or if their printer has a usb port and accepts usb memory it would be easy. Heck they could probably get a printer that reads sd cards and do it that way as well.
I've never tried printing though USB before on the a500 but I wouldn't imagine it would be that easy/if at all possible. If your printer can connect to the mifi then it is possible to do a network print through the a500 but you would need a special app for that.
You have to use aprint service thru a computer get a compatible printer.some of the new HP and brother printer have print apps that will work over the MIDI device.it uses a cloud print service type connection.

[Q]connect tablet as monitir to windows 8

Is it possible to connect my galaxy tab using HDMI or USB or any other connection to use it as a touch screen monitor with windows 8 PC?
Well i'm sure the answer is yes, as you can do it with android (any version) and W7...... i just forget what the app is called.....

[Q] Use the tablet as main screen for PC

While I found several apps that "extend" the desktop of the PC to our device enlarging the global viewport, I would be interested in an app that use the tablet as the main and only screen (so without any other monitor connected). Possibly via USB (Via wireless Splashtop would be enough but I would need a gateway to connect both).
I'd like to use it with my mITX PC instead of having to use my external 24" if I decide to move my PC
Are there any projects or app being developed/released?
Thanks
Simone

Not that I know of through USB, as there would have to be a display in being supported. To the best of my knowledge there is barely even a display out. Wireless may be a solution, but you would have to start the PC running on the 24", set it up then it should be able to run all the time without the monitor. However, it will likely be quite slow.
I used iDisplay from the play store,
You install it on your pc and on your tablet and you can plug via usb.
I used it since the screen of my laptop is dead.

Very nice I have to test it because the notebook have different behaviors compared to desktop (mainly because if I remember well the video signal is sent through the PCIe bus on the internal screen). However if it's possible to use as a "single" screen, i'm done
Thanks!
Does it lag?
I remember trying to use iTeleport with my old iPod Touch 4 and the experience was less than tolerable - the device couldn't handle this kind of operation

Android mirror to Windows 8

Does anyone know if its possible to mirror the display of my android device to my touchscreen PC?
I can mirror my phone to my HDMI TV, so if I have HDMI input can I mirror my phone to my touchscreen windows 8 tablet and control it? I have Surface RT, so I am really doubting it, but I would like to know if anyone even knows if this is possible in any version of Windows. What would kick ass, is if you could take a rooted device, plug it in, force tablet mode, and control your phone, and all applications with your tablet. Instead of using Bluestacks emulation, you would think you could just plug your phone in and use it. I assume it would either need to be via USB, or Micro HDMI
also, is it possible to use my Surface RT as an external monitor for my PC? I know I can use an external monitor for my surface, but can you do it the other way around?
Thanks
No, it is not possible.
Root the android device, install a VNC server, and use a VNC client on the desktop to see the Android's output.
Just to note, it won't properly forward touchscreen events for multitouch and the like.

How do I connect my laptop to my smart TV wirelessly?

Hi friends,
I need a little help. I bought a new Android TV, but I am not able to connect it with my laptop.
It could be a problem with the television or laptop.
So I was wondering if a standard laptop is required for that or if I need to install any third-party apps for this because someone suggested I get a smart processor laptop, such as an Intel evo, for this.
Is this mandatory to have an Intel Evo laptop to connect to a smart TV?.
Im sure any laptop running windows can connect to Smart Tv's?
Both must be on same wifi or tv Via WIre and laptop via wifi?
In windows settings look under Devices if tv not there click on add device and it should search and when you
see you're tv click on it to add? they you should be able to mirror you're pc etc?
