[SOLVED] LG V20 can't take logcat during boot - LG V20 Questions & Answers

Hello guys,
I'm trying to get a logcat of my US996 during boot, but there is a problem. I can hear the USB connected sound during boot, however logcat only works if I unplug and replug it once I see the lockscreen. In other words, I can't get a logcat during boot. When I do the cycle, I can see the logcat. Has anyone tried this? I have the LG driver installed and ADB is authorized.
Regards.
Edit: Nevermind, figured it out. had to use the -d parameter.

[Q] Both USB Debugging and ability to mount gone

So, last night I decided to install ali ba's CM 7 build. After a few false starts, I ended up with a boot loop. Since then I reverted with fastboot using a LEGEIMG.zip, and I can't mount my microSD card via my phone anymore. USB Debugging is all but gone, I can access it for maybe a minute and then it dies.
To be clear, the icon on my phone indicating that USB Debugging is active, but `adb devices` stops showing it after a minute or so.
When I plug in the phone, Windows tells me "USB Device Not Recognised". I've tried removing and re-installing HTC Sync.
I'm lost for where to go right now, suggestions?
Thanks

I had the same problem. I'm not sure how to get ADB back, but I can help you with the MicroSD mount problem. Go into Fastboot on your phone, with it plugged into your computer. In the cmd prompt navigate to the folder where adb devices is and type fastboot oem enableqxdm 0
Let me know if you figure out the adb bit. I'm still trying to fix it.

ADB show device as offline after sometime

Guys just bought a new phone and started debugging on the phone. I'm facing this issue.
While I'm trying to debug the apps on my device. My device is showing as offline after sometime. Then I again have to Toggle off USB Debugging and switch it on. I even checked adb devices it shows the device as online and then offline after sometime. Anyone facing similar issues or knows the solution please help me with the same.
Thanks
I solved this by changing the usb cable and updating the usb drivers of my phone, give it a try
dont think so.
Hey thanks for the reply. The USB cable is brand new and of very good quality. Also ADB drivers are installed properly. It works once I toggle the USB Debugging in the phone so I dont think it would be related to the data cable.

Maybe the rom if you are using a custom one
The debug bridge will never go "offline" as long as it is connected to the device, and as long as you have USB-debugging "on" in your device and the correct drivers are installed. The point being that ADB isn't the issue, I assume that you are debugging/logging through LogCat , "and that piece of shi* really sucks," if LogCat stops logging or says it is disconnected try to rearm it by manually launching the app you're debugging, or Run the app from your IDE. That will work most of the times, alternatively you can use the old Android logcat which is fully functioning but not as good as LogCat.
If all fails start debugging through ADB in the console.
same problem here, ..

EDL mode doesn't work, USB device descriptor failed

Hi everyone, I try booting into EDL mode both using the button combo and the adb reboot edl command, and both just freeze the phone. I'm given a black screen that doesn't respond to button presses or plugging into the charger, and I have to wait for the battery to die before it'll start charging, after which I can turn it on normally.
My PC says 'USB device descriptor failed' when the phone is in this mode, even though when it's turned on normally I can transfer files over and whatnot just fine. I've used different cables and different PCs with the same result. Anyone know how to fix this? My main objective is to root so I can get rid of ads system wide. Thanks
Did you figure out how to fix this? I'm having the same problem now, didn't have it before.
