I have a rooted Nexus 7 (2012) with stock Android 4.4.2 (Build KOT49H). I have TWRP installed. Recently, I got a OTA update notification, which I chose to install. After downloading it, the tablet requested to reboot as usual, but it rebooted into TWRP and just stayed there. I had to select reboot in the TWRP menu. The tablet is still in 4.4.2 and now it doesn't notify me of any OTA (it just says "Your system is up to date").
Should I flash stock recovery to install the OTA?
Is the downloaded OTA still somewhere in the tablet?
How do I get the tablet to recognize the OTA again?
Thanks!
Hello,
i have rooted my phone, installed TWRP and kept the Stock ROM 6.0.0 (didn't change anything at all)
In the past few weeks my phone annoyed me with the OTA Update so i wanted to install it. Sadly, it said somethinf about failed because of "package expects build fingerprint".
Can i somehow flash the OTA update with TWRP?
I uploaded the OTA file here: https://mega.nz/#!QlpQAJYQ!-TCIy_f-Lq8GdvRj2uxa02XJUgQqEVcXUhScl7sryJI
Just wanted to ask if anyone can help me? I've been waiting for a few days now. No solution yet :/
It annoys me a lot.
When I got this error on my OnePlus, the solution was to flash the stock recovery.
Then I was able to install the OTA.
After the update I flashed TWRP again.

Hi,
I'm using HTC ONE M9+, today finally HTC released 6.0 Update for M9+,my hpne downloading update without any problem when i click to Install Now it says Rebooting and after reboot TWRP Kicks in and does nothing. Is there any way to disable TWRP to install this new update ?
Flash back the corresponding "stock" recovery.
You must also have an unmodified system to apply the OTA successfully.

i have unlocked bootloader but s-on .how to flash the otp? thanks in advance
MIracles happen! Is there anyone that have already made the update and can tell if the sense it's still there or if HTC have removed everything like in the HTC 10?

even i have downloaded the update but cant install as i have system partition modified...i ve searched for a ruu or stock rom but couldnt find anywhere...however i do have the Indian OTA update.

Hi,
I have restocked my phone with this tutorial: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/stock-rom-npjs25-93-14-4-march-1-t3608138
I have used this rom "ATHENE_NPJS25.93-14-18_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml"
When i boot up the phone, it says that has an update (February 8th), but the security installed is patch is aphril 1st. When i try to install the OTA update, gets an error.
Anyone knows how to fix it?
I experienced some issues with Resurrection Remix and ended up messing around in TWRP and eventually ended up with "system destoyed" have since been trying to get back to working stock rom.
- Flashed V10.0.4.0.PDHMIXM (Android P) with Miflash (clean all and lock)
- Directly after flashing stock rom when trying to OTA update it (April 2019 security update) it downloads update, reboots into "installing system update" shortly (with the progress bar visible) then reboots and i get error message "Couldn't update".
Whats going on ?
If you update firmware 10.0.8.0 previously... Thats the reason... You must flash Stock Rom 10.0.8.0 by TWRP. Future OTA updates works perfect again...
Bad english... Sorry
