Hello,
I try using a rockchip sandroid stick, for internet navigation.
But i haven't found a navigator with the possibility of changing zoom in the options (as in windows navigators).
I use a mouse and the integrated virtual keyboard.
I have tried several browser, but none have the hability of zoom/unzoom.
Actually i wish to unzoom.
Anyone can help please ?

I use the website cctv.oralarts.net. I see that it has me install an activex control names mp4dvr.cab on my computer which then enables me to view the cctv cameras. When i go on either opera, piscel browser, netfront, or pocket ie it does not allow me to download and install the active x control and simply gives me an error saying that the Viewer is not installed.
If i could get my hands on the mp4dvr.cab is it possible for me to install this on my pocket pc and view the CCTV cameras?
Any suggestions to make this work? Anybody with cctv camera experience on the Hermes?
by the way i do have adobe flash player and active x control installed; however i don't believe it uses those. I believe it uses its own active x control.
btw I have same problem but want to expand
how do you install active x and flash?
i used flash light i believe opera 8.65 has active x support. but i read on another thread that people used netfront to get it work. I guess i would like to know what version of netfront and if they had any external programs setup.
is it possible to use either opera mini/mobile or both using just wifi. i have searched the web and xda and found nothing that involves this topic.
connect to a wifi router and launch the browser, bingo!
Unfortunately that doesn't work. There is issues with Opera Mini and wifi. Or maybe the issue is connecting Jbed with the wifi connection ...
Does anyone know the resolution?

Try different java engines. Last time I ran Opera Mini, I believe I was on Schap's rom. I don't have a data plan so all I had was wifi. I actually like Opera Mini more than Opera Mobile. Mini had a more intelligent zoom while Opera Mobile will show the entire page, then you need to open a context menu to select the zoom in functionality.
It would be nice to have a browser that will zoom with gestures.
I run Esmertec Jbed with Opera Mini (latest version, don't remember which one exactly) just fine exclusively over WiFi. Didn't really have to do anything special to get it working. The only added thing was to run a Mortscript for creating shortcut that starts Opera automatically.
hi guys, this is mostly for those who know what logmein is. When i remotely access my pc from my diamond. everything works fine until i acutally control my pc because then my keyboard stops responding. i don't know if it's the actual program that doesn't allow me or a keyboard encryption of some sort on my local computer, but everytime i hit a key, it shows i hit it, but it doesnt register on the computer. the mouse and everything works fine just the keyboard. maybe i have to disable the target host keyboard and mouse but i dunno how to do that on my phone. any help would be much appreciated. thanks in advance
LogMeIn
Yes, this is a problem. However, there is a way round it. Before you run the LogMeIn app, set the old-fashioned Keyboard as the default entry method. It then seems to work fine.
JOhn
EDIT: i found out how ! thanks !! it works great. i acutally like the default keyboard
Has anyone here use the service Logmein ( https://secure.logmein.com/US/home.aspx ) with your HD2 ?
The iphone can do it, but I was wondering if the HD2 can do it also. I want to remotely control my PC at home when I am away using the HD2.
They've never made a compatible AX control for the current versions of IE or Opera that come on the HD2, so I'm afraid you have to forget about Logmein. I was gutted about that, but soon got over it when I started using Remote Desktop instead.
Give that a go - it should already be on your device. (Don't forget that you'll need to ensure your PC will accept incoming RDP connections, and you'll need to allow it through any firewall(s) you have - port 3389.)
You can use IEToggle (http://discussion.treocentral.com/treo-pro/177752-toggle-between-pie-ie6-free-app-cab-file.html) to switch back to old IE (Pie) style.
I use Opera as my main browser, and use old IE for logmein.
You use the toggle once, and it stays on the old version of IE until you ise the toggle program again.
With this (and the RACtrlCE.cab from logmein), it works perfectly on the HD2 (at least for me).
Wish they had a standalone app, but I find this program smoother then using RDC for a home laptop.

I thought the keyboard didn't work. That was the reason I didn't use an old version of IE. Is this now resolved?

I had the same problem, keyboard not working in PIE and logmein but the SWYPE keyboard works OK. So now I just switch to that to use logmein. Works well but not ideal I'll admit...
Use the client
Hi there,
Well I am using the client, available at https://secure.logmein.com/US/labs/.
It works like charm on my hd2.
sonix
I'm just able to find Hamachi2 cab at that address... I think this topic is about usig the "basic" remot control service, i.e. LogMeIn Ignition client for Windows Mobile
Anyway, having an hamachi client can ease the life with RDP
Opera 10
What are u talking about?
Opera 10 works fine with log me in. Rom version: 1.66.482.1
No need to toggle with IE....
Just ignore the message "To get the best experience...."
yup, using opera 10 (has flash support), i can use logmein without installing extra software.
i have no idea how it works before, but a few things i've noticed...the remote desktop shown on screen is nothing but a bitmap, so it's not interactive. so everytime i do an action that changes the screen, it will redraw the entire screen (and it's quite slow).
i can do left clicks. no idea how to mimick a right click.
you can send input text by using the textbox on top of the screen (then click send). and send special keys that are listed on the dropdown menu.
in summary, it's working but pretty limited.
Hi all,
Is there anyone working fine with an RDP / remote desktop client from the droid pro?
I wish to use the quite expensive Wyse PocketCloud app (the best on tablets and 5row qwerty's) but it does not work.
I am trying other apps:
- 2x client: not working numbers just as PocketCloud, working SW keyboard! To use for portrait keyboard too in some way
- Remote RDP lite / free + pro version working HW w/ issue, no sw keyboard
(Physical numeric keyboard works if you press and then release ALT and then the number. Still not perfect usability but you can get through work easier)
- FastestRDP / AccessToGo by Ericom HW keyboard works fine, but is no good as in responsiveness. No sw keyboard
If anyone has other suggestions please share them!
I am writing to Wyse support to see if they can mix the best of functions: working sw keyb from 2x and HW keyb from Ericom.
Cheers!
I'm running RealVNC on Windows XP and connecting to it with my Droid Pro with VNC Viewer. In order to get a good software keyboard up I was recommended to try Smart Keyboard Pro. It works very well on the pro in landscape mode. I haven't gotten it to work in portrait mode, which would be a nice option.
I also tried the Wyse Pocketcloud app and had troubles with it unless I gave them my google account and installed their program on my computer. Wyse is supposed to be able to connect over VNC and RDP connections. I wasn't able to get it to connect easily using VNC. I've never messed with RDP because I've always used VNC.
wyse pocketcloud
Yo no luck with smart keyb pro.. Try 2x client (but it is only rdp) with sw keyb portrait mode or the others with hw keyb working well (ericom is the most straight forward use, remote rdp is more fluent in screen but fn must be separatedly pressed from the number.)
I actually much prefer rdp (not from android really but to work on from windows and linux pc's) as it autoscales resolution to fill the size of the screen you're on in fullscreen mode and it is faster imho.
VNC can set encryption on any windows and linux box but still no comparison to me.
So... pocketcloud works fine with no need google account, just skip and add a new connection.
I bought the app for multi profiles as it is the best solution I found (rdp + vnc) as in speed and usability.
No google account for me (as if it was related... rdp / vnc and... google account? need no help in configuring it), and I will netstat my tablet to get block via hosts the connection to their site (I get no network very often if offline).
Anyway on droid pro the app is still great but too many issues if not in landscape + sw keyb... and the droid pro looses it's point like this... Even connect bot is landscape... bleah..
