Hi
I'm currently on o2 UK firmware unlocked phone
Im looking to flash euro open firmware as these firmware tend to get updated more frequently then others
Can someone point me to the right firmware
https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-h870-firmwares/
Kind regards
The latest firmware for EU is 10t. In your case I'd choose this one: https://lg-firmwares.com/download-file/?fileId=10115
Thanks
I have the same O2 phone, let us know how you get on. I'm still reluctant to flash other firmware, just in case I ned to make a warranty claim at some point. :good:

hey guys, i bought my sgs a month back in singapore and the screen jus gets ppl drooling over it. My current firmware version is i9000dxjf4, and Kies mentions this as the latest firmware but samsung-firmware.webs.com shows that there are three other updates after i9000dxjf4 for the asian region. Is it safe for me to download and update the latest firmware from that website inspite of kies confirming that i'm having the latest firmware. Could u also check out that site its quite cool.
Thanks for your replies....
Kies won't show updated firmware as the Samsung Firmware releases are not official. You can by all means download and install, but they are unsupported and there are risks if you don't do it correctly! Most of us here have flashed new firmwares just fine though.
i was also wondering , i'm in asia so should i install asia specific firmware update or can i download european firmware update. I see that europeans get firmware updates frequently than the asians??

i have a question i bought the set in singapore and i live in india now should i flash i9000xx or i9000dd or i9000zs etc or can i flash any firmware without considering the place i live will this cause any prob?pls reply thnx
there is a FAQ guide on these boards for roms/firmware etc
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=723596
thanks man my problem got solved.....it was informative....
So, did you download the latest firmware from the Samsung site or went ahead to use one of the custom firmware? Would like to hear if some of the problems that we had been experiencing went away after your upgrade (e.g., GPS, lags, 3G/Wifi switch, etc).
I assume upgrading to the firmware from Samsung does not require rooting. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'll try to stay unrooted for warranty reason.
Cheers.
o you have to be ****ting me, please use the search before falsely getting peoples hopes up......

Care to elaborate?
BTW, OP, I tried searching for the firmware on Samsung website but don't seems to be able to find it. Can you provide link for the mentioned firmware?
I have an Omnia 7 and have the issues that have been discussed on this forum, Voicemail doesn't save, calls get dropped etc.
I got impatient and walshed my phone to 7390 hoping this may solve the issues but no luck, I have also applied walsh's fix to get me back on the supported update path.
I have a few questions before I proceed to flash the firmware for my phone.
Will my firmware get updated automatically anyway?
My phone is currently branded for T-Mobile UK, are the roms on samfirmware.com unbranded?
My phone has been network unlocked by a code, NOT the Cheveron tool, will this unlock stay with the phone if I flash the firmware?
If the roms are not unbranded or for T-Mobile UK what are the downsides and side effects to going ahead with the firmware flash?
Many thanks for your input, eitherway I think I will be waiting untill Tuesday to see if I get the 7392 update and check if that has updated my firmware first before I do flash my phone.
My current firmware info:-
PDA----------I8700XXJJ4
Phone--------I8700XXJJ3
CSC----------I8700TMUJJ4
Bootloader---4.10.1.2
So I've learned that I've got the XWKDC firmware which is apparently the oldest one.
I've been having a rebooting issue with the SGS2 phone as described here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1099121
I thought that maybe installing the latest firmware might resolve the issue.
So my question is this:
1. Is XXKE4 the latest firmware? That's what I can understand from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
2. Is there any reason why I shouldn't upgrade?
3. My phone isn't rooted and I don't want to root it atm. Is there a way for me to backup everything in case something goes wrong so that I can just restore it to it's current state?
4. How come some people are getting the updates through Kies and some people don't? Why can't I update through the software?
Thank you for helping
having the same issue with kies would love for someone to confirm

No
But you can lok for a copy of original firmware some are posted in dev section

Any Kies update is down to the phone provider and if they have passed the firmware and altered it or are not going to upgrade that firmware .

Ok so here is the deal:
I got a LG G2 16GB on contract with Vodafone.de.The latest firmware OTA i could update on was 802c,but the problem is that i hate the carrier logo on power on and power off and a lot of bloatware that i cant unistall neither prevent from loading and running in the backround(joyn etc..).
Is there a way to flash this firmware 57 6DE/GERMANY_OPEN_16G found from this site http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=36?
Is this firmware untouched stock or is there an official lg source to get the latest international firmware?
My biggest concern is actually not voiding the warranty and i really dont know how to do this or if it requires root or not.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance!

ok say i dont give a **** about the warranty,am i going to be able to download ota updates normally after flashing the international firmware?
no one willing to help on the matter?
Just flash the OPEN DE firmware following the instructions on the link. It doesn't require rooting and it is easier than you suspect when you see the instructions for the first time. After you flash V10E it appears (not confirmed 100%) that you should be able to update only OTA. If you update via PC Suite it will revert back to the original firmware for your specific product code (Vodafone DE in your case). Apparently, the product code cannot be changed and your device will always be identified as Vodafone DE. If the OTA updates work...that's fine! If they don't, you will always have to flash the updates manually.

Your original CSC ought to be XSG(UAE). Nevertheless, since you've flashed the SLK firmware, there is no need of worry. By the way, you may not be getting new update since the firmware might be already latest, as last update to Sri Lankan firmware arrived way back in January. Just see the attachment.

You'll get updates, provided Samsung releases a new one in the UAE region. Which I think won't probably happen as Galaxy J5's two year support period is nearly over.
Nevertheless, I'd recommend you to change the CSC to INS(INDIA) by dialing *#272*imei 1# on your phone dialer and then choosing INS as the Sales code. Keep in mind that by doing so your device'll reboot and wipe all the datas.
As far as I know, J500F used to get more frequent updates in India than any other country.
Tnx.
Hi
Which android version do you have?
J5 is not getting many updates. After the 6.0.1 update there may not be anymore.
Plus if your phone is not official then it wont get any more updates.
