[Solved] Hard Brick Moto X Style XT1572 ( Qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008 ) - X Style (Pure) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Good morning, I'm new here on the forum. Sorry if English is bad because I'm using the automatic translator and I'm from Brazil.
I have the Moto X Style that died after updating via ota (the bootloader is unlocked and had downgrade) result = does not enter fastboot mode, recovery, nor loads, when it connects on the computer by usb it presents qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008, for those with the same problem, I was able to recover my device through a file shared by a colleague of google plus who made a dump of xt1572 that works 100% (loader.img)

MOTO X STYLE XT1572 UNBRICK GUIDE
Initial Reminders: This method has been tested on more than one XT1572 model successfully, but we can not guarantee the success of this guide in your case. NO ONE HERE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT YOU DO WITH YOUR APPLIANCE. If you have no skill / experience or do not feel confident following such guides, DO NOT GO!
Several members of this community together have come up with a solution to the "Hardbrick" problem of Style, a condition where it gives no sign of life and recognizes on the computer as "HS-USB DLoader 9008".
THINGS YOU WILL NEED BEFORE YOU BEGIN:
1 - A computer with Motorola drivers installed, fastboot files and the DiskImageRev2 program. Your Windows user needs to have administrator access.
2 - A USB cable of good quality and 100% functional.
3 - A USB microSD memory card reader.
4 - A microSD memory card. Recommendation: 16GB, class 10 and ORIGINAL!
5 - The complete ROM file.
Details of this ROM: Dual SIM. RETAIL. Region "LA" - the two simcards operate 100% in Brazil. Android 7.0. Security Patch August 1, 2017. Version Number NPHS25.200-15-3.
6 - The file "Loader.img".
7 - The battery of the unit must be charged so as to allow the unit to switch on in fastboot mode.
Each of the above may require additional steps. For this guide not to get too large these details were not included.
STEP BY STEP
Step 1 - Burn the "Loader.img" file to the microSD memory card using the DiskImageRev2 program.
Step 2 - Insert the memory card into the device and turn it on in fastboot mode. There are three possible options: (1) hold down the Power and Volume buttons for at least 10 seconds. (2) Hold the Volume minus button and connect the unit to the computer. (3) Connect the device to the computer, after it is recognized to hold the Power button until it "reboots" it automatically enters fastboot mode.
Step 3 - With the device in fastboot mode, write the ROM normally complete using the Windows command prompt.
.\fastboot oem fb_mode_set
.\fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
.\fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
.\fastboot flash logo logo.bin
.\fastboot flash boot boot.img
.\fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
.\fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
.\fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
.\fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
.\fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.3
.\fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.4
.\fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.5
.\fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.6
.\fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.7
.\fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.8
.\fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.9
.\fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.10
.\fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
.\fastboot erase modemst1
.\fastboot erase modemst2
.\fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
.\fastboot flash bluetooth BTFM.bin
.\fastboot erase cache
.\fastboot erase userdata
.\fastboot erase customize
.\fastboot erase clogo
.\fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
.\fastboot reboot
This solution was the result of a joint effort of several people from the "Moto X Style BRASIL - Official" community on Google+

restores the dump into sd card, is this right ? or can you provide some instruction ?

This is for the XT1572 (not sure about other models), and yeah, you use DiskImageRev2 to write the loader.img to a sd card (32 gb card needed since it writes a 32gb partition)
After that you connect it to the computer, and press power button till it resets, it will start in fastboot mode.... then, just flash the rom you want (got mine back some hours ago with the same procedure)

@Danielo007
Good news.
Can you explain what/how did you unbrick MXP/S?
What to do with this file and after?

can confirm it works
Thank you very much
1. use Diskimage to write .img file on a 32gb card
2. put the card inside the slot
3. boot like you would boot to bootlooder (volume down + power) after some screen flash, it start in bootloader mode.
4. use fastboot to flash rom

Very nice! I've seen something like this work on other Snapdragon phones. Thankfully I've never had to try it on this one. There's something baked into the Qualcomm CPU that will fallback and read the bootloader from an SD card if the eMMC fails. Is that what's going on here?
Anyone tried it on an XT1575? I'm not sure if the bootloaders are interchangeable cross device or not.
I'd be happy to try and make an XT1575 debrick image if this one is XT1572 specific. Do you know if your colleague created it with a command something like this?
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/Loader.img bs=1M count=165

update...
device boot only with flash card inserted

Not really, you're using an older version of your rom, you need the same GPT.BIN file to be writen, or else your not "fixing" the bootloader, it will give " preflash validation failed" in it, with the latest rom it worked for me, i'm not using the "emulation sd card" and the phone boots as the first time
---------- Post added at 14:32 ---------- Previous post was at 14:30 ----------
See in here the file "Guia para UNBRICK em inglês.pdf" gives you the instruction needed

you are right......but i don't have stock nougat rom for xt1572 EU, anyway i was able to recover my phone, flashing a nougat flashfire backup that i had made when i install it first time.

Guys, I love you. I DO, REALLY!
Finally my bricked XT1572 is back from the dead, at least it booted into Fastboot mode. However, I don't have the full Nougat ROM for the XT1572-LATAM_DS, only the Marshmallow 6.0 ROM with December security patch. Thus, since the Loader.img is for a Nougat ROM, I can't flash the gpt.bin and bootloader.img from the MM ROM ("Preflash validation failed").
Can anyone share the full Nougat ROM (if it's available), or at least the gpt.bin and bootloader.img (then I can flash a custom ROM, for instance)?
THANKS!!!
EDIT: found it on the Google+ community, downloading now.
EDIT 2: solved!! The ROM worked with the instructions! THANKS TO ALL INVOLVED!!

Amazing... Moto staff hided this secret from people for years ))

Tried this on my xt1575 and it worked initially. Failed to flash gpt.bin and bootloader.img from the 24.49-18-8 full factory MM image. It did initially boot to the stitch screen then powered off and won't power on again. Tried letting it sit and reinstalled the sd card but it won't power on at all now. When I initially put the SD card in the white led lit up and I was able to get to recovery mode. Now nothing happens. So I wouldn't advise XT1575 users to try this loader.img

I hope this interchangeable with X1575. Or some one can create a loader.img for it. BTW you would have to fastboot the last image that was installed?

please make a debrick image of xt1575 USA Version If you can. I need it to debrick my X Pure .

Hi:
But finally when flash by fastboot, the destination is the internal memory or the sd card?

On other Snapdragon phones I've seen this work with in the past it is kind of a fickle thing. I looked back over some old threads, and you needed an image specific to the firmware you were running at the time you bricked. I think my phone is too much of a Frankenphone right now to be a good candidate for pulling an image from. I'm pretty sure I'm on the bootloader from the MM Sept 2016 security update and the modem from the MM May 2016 security update. Currently not on a stock rom either. I could make you an image, but based on BuildUpNow's post above I think it would either not work or maybe leave you worse off than you are now.
I could get my phone back to fully Sept 2016 stock for the purpose of making an image, but that's it. The bootloader won't downgrade. The XT1575 packages haven't leaked for Dec 2016 or Nougat, and I'm not touching those OTA's as poorly as they seem to be going. I've never seen so many hard bricks reported on this device as I have in the last month or two.
Our lack of full firmware packages for XT1575 will really hinder this unless you happen to have been on older firmware. Unless you can get your hands on a firmware package same or newer than what you were running, you're going to get preflash validation failure on the bootloader and partition table, and based on the posts above it sounds like you'll still be stuck.

can you please provide loader.img for moto x play???

I think any user of bricked xt1575 can use the same loader.img, flash stock N LatAm, one reboot and flash modem/baseband from 6.0 US.
If it will not help - system boots but wrong working - can flash full 6.0 US without BL, GPT, OEM commands.

I tried that and it didn't work.
I actually got my phone to boot up now though. But the phone will only boot with the sd card it in. I tried wiping it and using it for storage and the phone refuses to boot. The img has to be written to it. I also can't enter recovery mode( pwr + vol dn buttons at all). So now I'm stuck with mm6.0 and I cannot enter recovery at all. Guess I'll have to try and load the sd card on linux and see what files are on the card and see if there's anything to be modified.

Oh my goodness, thank you so much for this quick and easy fix. My phone is back from the dead and it even worked on my Moto X PURE (XT1575). You made my day, honestly, I haven't been this happy for a long time

[GUIDE] Lollipop for XT1064 (CANADA ONLY)

This is a guide that is strictly for those who are as impatient as I am to get Lollipop on their Moto G (2014). I know there are several guides for folks in the US, and other countries as well, but currently there is no OTA for Canada yet. We are literally left out in the cold. So, I thought I would put a collaborative guide together so the Canadians can enjoy some 5.0, too!
First and foremost, if you F up your phone, that's on you. This will void your warranty, and I am in no way responsible for any stupidity you conjure up during the process.
I have only tested this on the XT1064, which is the single SIM US/Canada model.
The issue when trying to simply follow the upgrade guide for the XT1064 is that the OTA file looks for a 4.4.4 variant of Android that needs to be the same region as where the OTA came from. If you try to install it on the Canadian versions, you will get an error. So, here goes:
1. Unlock your bootloader. Follow this wonderful guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...wip-unlock-bootloader-moto-g-2nd-gen-t2875728
2. Download the US version of 4.4.4, it can be found here: http://www.filefactory.com/file/2ygnt0x45vcr/RETUAWS_XT1064_4.4.4_KXB21.85-17_cid9_CFC.xml.zip
3. Extract the above file to the same location you installed Minimal ADB in the first step (C:\Program Files(x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot)
4. Turn your phone off and disconnect it from the computer. Press and hold the volume down (-) button and power button to get into Fastboot mode. Connect your phone to the computer.
5. Run Minimal ADB and run these commands:
PHP:
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk1
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk2
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk3
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot reboot
I removed the modem commands on purpose, and I will explain why later.
6. Once the phone has rebooted, plug it in to the computer and follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/development/lollipop-moto-g-2014-xt1064-t2937361
You should now have Lollipop on your Canadian XT1064!
If you have issues with the WiFi or cellular, you may have to flash the modem commands again from the old file. I had to download the original Canadian ROM (http://www.filefactory.com/file/78znv8hx0tvt/RETCA_XT1064_4.4.4_KXB21.85-16_cid14_CFC.xml.zip) and using Fastboot flash the following:
PHP:
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
After that I had no issues and everything seems to be working as it should. You can relock your bootloader afterwards if you like as well.
Thanks to the other contributors above, I was simply trying to put a quick guide together for us Canadian folks who wish to get Lollipop, too!
Cheers!
This is great - although I think I'm still "out in the cold." I have 11.24 and couldn't flash the above due to "downgrading." Unless I'm missing something... Any ideas?
This worked for me! Thanks for the awesome tutorial!

At which part do you get an error? Are you trying to use a script to flash, or are you doing exactly step by step like mentioned above? I had the latest of the late on my Moto G 2014, so I know that these steps work on it.
Is your bootloader unlocked as mentioned above?

Yeah - I'm not sure what the problem was - originally it wouldn't take the US ROM due to a downgrade error. Tried it again, after a factory reset and for some reason it went through. Flashing Lollipop and the modem after was no issue at all - so good to go now. It's beautiful.
Thanks for the follow-up.
AKA: I should have just ignored downgrade error + HAB fail on phone, the first time around
I am getting hab check failed for boot when i use the command " fastboot flash boot boot.img "
please help

Disregard the error and move on to the next command. You are going to get a few errors. Don't worry.
installing update
verifying current system
/system/app/3c_main.apl has unexpected contents
installation aborted
this is after i run the commands and upload from sd card...
followed your commands and tried few fresh zips
can you please help, it won't let me install the lollipop file
Another way:
Go to this link, XT1064 > Lollipop, download the file and extract it.
And follow the same idea of OP but with few changes:

This one just avoid you to flash USA KitKat and then Lollipop. This one goes directly to Lollipop.
Doesn't flash Modem/Radio from USA Lollipop because doesn't work on Canadian models, at least didn't work with WIND Mobile model.
WIND canada moto G XT1064 lollipop
Thanks very much for posting this. and thanks for posting the link for 5.02 from MEGA which is a lot faster than filefactory!
I've attached a link to the original Wind 4.4 modem files in case someone's modem doesn't work afterwards, if they followed the top post original instructions and accidentally flashed the US KitKat 4.4 modems.. instead of downloading that huge file from filefactory.com (extremely slow site), the link has just the 2 files (22MB).
https://mega.co.nz/#!dk430ZBZ!diHa6V-rcidHFc3niGjshk-2A9ELbqZtCnb63pFK010
Also may be worth mentioning to ignore the "hab check failed" messages when flashing lollipop. (I was using mfastboot)

Who ever you are, I tried to follow your system. it didn't work for me, infact I lost wifi connection, but anyways what I did was I used another script for this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...dows-tool-moto-g-2014-xt1064-restore-t2957167) And this worked, but now I lost Cellular Service....Big problem eh? Well no more, thanks to you. I downloaded the Canadian rom, and just to be more specific (cause it was kinda vague in the tutorial, (Extract the files again to the Mininal ADB fastboot file location the whole c drive thing yenno?)) And I ran that php and BAM thank you so much I was worried out of my MIND that I f'ed up my phone somehow. Foreal, bless your soul....or your XT1064?
No XT1064s were hurt in the making of this post

Just a tad bit curious I also have a Wind Mobile Moto G2 and i'm just wondering how you unlocked the bootloader in the first place. If you could please share the process on how you did it that would be great.
Anyone know how we can get the LP bootloader on the Canadian version?
I'd like to be able to update my CM12.
Thanks!
Awesome
I'm on Bell &
everything is working 100% radio/wifi/bluetooth all good
Thanks
This is a great guide. But I'm wondering if we've been given any explanation on why Canadian Moto G's aren't getting OTA updates? It's April and my Moto G is saying up to date with 4.4.4. It's from wind if that matters.
I understand we can do this work around. I'm just trying to understand why we're not getting updates.

But what about the people that bought their phones from Staples. It's unlocked and not associated to any carrier. They are directly under Motorola and still no update at all. Phone are getting 5.1 update already, but we're still at 4.4.4
What's so different in the Canadian market from the US one that the update can't come fast? Specially if the phone is not associated to a carrier and the update should come directly from Motorola

People need help. Sorry if'm posting in the wrong place, I'm new here.
I have a Moto X Play (XT1563) And after I flash it to the stock rom 6.0 he installed it right more at the time of restart he did not call more, no charges and no starts in fastboot.
The bootloader it was unlocked, and the battery was at 20% load.
When I plug it in the PC it is recognized as UNKNOWN DEVICE. What I do to try to recover it? as seen videos of people recovering MOTO G1 AND 2, MOTO X 1 and 2. Thank you in advance!

Yes, he hung up and did not care anymore. when I command "Fastboot reboot" he simply hung up and now does not care and neither starts in fastboot and also does not charge. It kind "put out the fastboot mode system" and is being recognized the computer as "unknown device" and has no way gives the flash rom stock because does not start in fastboot mode. He got hardbrick.
more where I download the boot image of it? 're Almost impossible to find a solution to this problem.

1. He does not enter the bootloader mode. You can not use RSD Lite to be able to give him the flash, the RSD does not recognize him because he does not enter the fastboot mode, moto x play he does nothing're completely off. when I connect the computer it is always recognized as "unknown device" so I can not give it flash or the cmd and not by RSD Lite.
2.I used all of the commands but did not pay attention had given error in any command more in the last it is simply reset the device he hung up and did not care anymore. Ai can not do anything it just know that he ta working as it appears on the computer when I connect it, the following NOTIFICATION ...
"USB Device Not Recognized,
* installing drivers ... failure.
* Unknown device. "
Every time I connect it to the computer appears such reports and have all the drivers installed and already uninstalled and installed back more not decided.

I have the files that can fix my machine, since'm two months without any solution. I need the files to resurrect my Moto X Play With HardBrick.
Who has the files please makes a uploud and I send. My Gmail is [email protected].
thank you!
I have same problem, my moto x play is hard bricked and gets only detected as qdloader Q9008. I am looking for the blank flash files, something like prog_emmc_firehose_8939.mbn
i also have hard bricked ( Qloader 9008 )
Did someone find a solution? Mine is also hard bricked the exact same way.

It can be revived either by Blank flash files or by easy jtag emmc flash.. Unfortunately no one is having blank flash files.. Hopefully someone will come up with a blank flash file.. If you want to fix it quicky, then only way is flashing emmc by easy jtag box.. Like the video below..

FYI: recovered G5 XT 1676 to stock and updated. :)

Just an FYI type thing that may save people a bit of digging around sometime.
I tried to get the update that just came out, but as i had TWRP as recovery, no good. Anyhow, in my trying i completely bollixed the phone. Would start, but always booted to TWRP and had various conniptions. Could not even get a TWRP backup to load. Strange not encountered before by me stuff............
Anyhow, recovered by the following method to stock and am back in business.
Boot into bootloader fastboot mode.
Extract .xml.zip format firmware file:
eg: CEDRIC_NPP25.137-15_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip
to a folder on c drive of the PC that has the ADB and fastboot files in it.
In command prompt cd\ to that directory.
fastboot flash the following in sequence.
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk1
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk2
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk3
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk4
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot reboot
boots to stock .
Not my own work, adapted from this thread by t-bon3

After this, Motorola system update installed. On Australian XT1676 is build number NPP25.137-15-7
Patch level 1-May-2017
Still get the I cant be trusted page on power up as have unlocked bootloader.
Many thanks to all at XDA, its a resource that can certainly get you into trouble, but then out of it again.
where do you get the stock firmware?
Think I worked out what I did wrong. Somehow, I changed the format of the data partition. Fat fingers at some point??
TWRP backups didn’t like that and would not mount or write to the data partition as it was not f2fs format that the backup had been made in??
Anyway, restored data from a TWRP backup after going to ....wipe…format data. All good.
That gave me the passcode lockout issue at next reboot which can deal with.

Slow, but got it. At first i thought it was corrupt as TWRP wouldn't flash it. My gumby. The .xml.zips apparently need to be extracted and flashed file by file.

You can get rid of that easily
Put phone in fastboot mode
Download logo from link below
Enter the following in a windows command prompt where you have fastboot files & the logo file
Code:
fastboot.exe flash logo logo-g5-fix.bin

downgrade
thanks for the guide
- can i use this method to downgrade to this version?
- can i do this without unlocking the bootloader
- if it goes wrong can i unlock the bootloader later (i have an unlock code)
- is there a reason why we don't flash sparsechunk.0 ?
thanks in advance

No you cannot downgrade (same firmware version or newer required)
Yes - unlocked bootloader not required
As long as your phone still goes into the bootloader
You should flash all sparsechunks in number order
Thanks a bunch,
So to be absolutely clear, my phone shipped with NPP25.137-15-7 i can't install the stock rom linked, and the same version isn't out yet,
if i unlock the bootloader, would i be able to downgrade ?
Is the software channel setting preserved across this method?

You maybe able to - there are different variants of the same phone
As long as the firmware is the same or newer (as in the bootloader and API version) it may flash
It will either flash or error out
There's only one way to find out - if your phone is dead anyway it's not going to make alot of difference
No - generally you can never downgrade firmware - doing so would be dangerous and you may loose the bootloader for good
thanks again,
motoboot.img is the bootloader you talk about? is the partition layout described somewhere? would custom roms use a different one here?
do tell me by the way if i should get this information elsewhere/if i should read something to get started in the whole moto g world.

You're partially right. These commands won't work for our files. You have to flash the firmware according to the instructions contained within the "flashfile.xml" file within the archive. For example we have no "motoboot" partition
I've flashed every stock package available now (4 I think) and haven't been offered an update once. I've ran a couple of custom ROMs but they're just not right in one way or another. Might be time to move on.

I upgraded to this and since then can't downgrade the phone to the stock roms available online. From memory trying to flash gpt.bin gave a "Security version downgrade" error. So I wouldn't assume you'll be able to downgrade and until there is a copy of this particular firmware, you won't be able to flash back or relock the bootloader

NEVER try to downgrade => permanently bricked phone.
ie if you're on nougat, DON'T try to go back to MM.
While I have not tested going from anything back to MM, I have certainly bounced back and forth many times between 7.x and 8.x bootloaders/ROMs - see my other guides.
windows: Remember if you are going to use RSD lite, use the latest one 6.2.4 from here http://rsdlite.en.lo4d.com/ , and start it in admin mode. Earlier versions won't recognize your phone. (boot phone to fastboot screen and usb plug to PC)( do lots of googling if you're using win10.)

Process to go from custom rom back to stock (August update)
There are several guides on going back from custom rom to full stock, but still I made this guide with latest links. I just went from LOS 14.1 back to full stock. Below is the step I took:
1) Download and install minimal ADB AND FASTBOOT
I used version 1.4.2 which is the latest version https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=745425885120698566
2) Download and install motorola drivers
https://motorola-global-portal.custh...ail/a_id/88481
3) Download the latest firmware
I used ADDISON_NPNS26.118-22-1 which has august security updates https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=673368273298986785
4) Extract the zip file (firmware) and move all its contents to the folder where you have installed minimal adb and fastboot
5) Create a text file, add the following text to it and save it as "launch.bat" in the same folder.
Quote:
echo off
fastboot getvar max-sparse-size
fastboot oem fb_mode_set
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn

fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.9
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.10
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.11
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.12
fastboot flash oem oem.img
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot erase carrier
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase DDR
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
echo -------------------------------------------------------------------------
echo please scroll up and check your flash for any errors
echo -------------------------------------------------------------------------
pause
fastboot reboot
exit
6) Switch off your phone and open it in fastboot mode (press power and volume down button for few seconds after phone as switched off)
7) Connect your mobile to your computer
8) Click on the launch.bat file that you saved and it will install stock firmware on to your mobile. It will take a couple of minutes. (It will wipe everything on your mobile so take a backup of your important data)
9) Once the process is complete, it will ask you to enter any key, after which it will reboot itself.
Once rebooted, you will have full stock, non rooted, and latest firmware with august patches.

I take no responsibility for any damage done to your Moto X Pure XT1575 by following my guide, I'm posting this step-by-step guide for people who felt lost of what to do with their bricked XT1575 and cuz' it's really very depressing to see such a great phone like Moto X Pure gets bricked, so I have to search the forum for ways to unbrick my Moto X Pure XT1575. :highfive:

This thread shows every single steps with photos below clearly of what I did to trigger the initial issue when the computer detected Moto X Pure XT1575 as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 to restoring the phone back to normal! And It's SOLVED!
---------------------------------------------------------
Scroll down for more!
---------------------------------------------------------
Cause of this issue?
1. I was running Motorola's stock Android 6.0 with bootloader unlocked and TWRP installed.
2. So I decided to flash Android 7.0 directly through fastboot command manually via CMD on windows.
3. Flashed 7.0, thought I flashed successfully so used fastboot command to reboot the phone but it kept on bootloop showing the new big circle thingy with the word at the bottom "erasing..."
4. So decided to flash back to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. And the phone booted with the welcome screen like a new phone.
5. Then, thought of getting the incremental OTA security update for Android 6.0 then maybe I could upgrade to Android 7.0 via OTA update too. So installed the security update to December 2017.
6. Selected install update, phone reboots, then BLACK screen!
7. That moment I know I f-up.
---------------------------------------------------------
What I did...
1. Install Oracle Virtualbox
2. Download and run Windows 8.1 32bit OS on the virtualbox. (Image written using Windows 7 and Windows 10, phone doesn't detect it at all!)
3. Install and run DiskImageRev2 program on the virtualbox.
4. Flash the loader.img obtained at the end of this post (I used a Sony 32GB Class 10 Micro-SD card.)
5. Insert into the hybrid SIM and SD slot.
6. Connect phone charger.
7. Phone turns on and boots up!
8. Go to settings, about phone, multiple taps on build number
9. Enable USB debugging (if phone left 1%, put your micro-usb ready to be connected to laptop right away) - For Windows 10, Windows will automatically install driver for Moto X Pure.
10. On your computer, Google for Minimal ADB & Fastboot, download the program and install.
11. Google for Motorola drivers and install it
12. On the CMD, input adb devices
13. Authorise your computer on your phone.
14. On the CMD, input adb devices again
15. Input adb reboot bootloader
16. Phone will reboot into bootloader
17. On the Bootloader, check Battery ok and its charging
18. This moment, transfer the Moto firmware to the same minimal folder at C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot.
19. Input Fastboot devices , then you will see your phone's serial number
20. Then that's when you follow the instructions from https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-style/general/xt1575-moto-x-pure-edition-factory-t3704142

22. Insert newly flashed memory card into the phone again
23. Charge the phone and phone will boot up!

26th January 2018 16:00pm (Update 1) : I have ordered a brand new Original Motorola FX30 for my Moto X Pure. (OPTIONAL!) It might come in handy to fix it too.
26th January 2018 19:20pm (Update 2) : Thanks to @dzidexx, I have successfully booted into bootloader, was from Android 6.0 and flashed the Android 7.0 firmware, but don't know whether I'm doing the right way...?
26th January 2018 20:20pm (Update 3) : Phone wasn't charging at all during bootloader mode.
Phone shows the new circular turbo charging screen, which means it has been updated to Nougat? Outside right now, only can be tested later.
27th January 2018 10:20am (Update 4) : Phone is charging normally when phone is turned on or off. Booted via micro-sd. Running on Android 7.0 (Build NPH25.200-22). Need to find how to boot the firmware on phone instead of memory card!
30th January 2018 06:20am (Update 5) : Booted into Fastboot and removed micro-SD card right after it. Flashed the firmware and phone boots normally without loader.img in memory card. Running on Android 7.0 (Build NPH25.200-22). Received and also able to install OTA! .
------------------------------------------------
QUESTIONS:
1. Phone couldn't boot into fastboot via the POWER button + VOLUME DOWN button combination (or I did not do the right step?) . Is there any ways to boot via adb (aka boot fastboot or recovery through when phone is booted to UI)?
ANSWERED at https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75336995&postcount=3
2. I flashed the 7.0 firmware (NPH25.200-22) after that phone couldn't boot, so I flashed the 6.0 loader.img and that's when the phone suddenly able to charge and able to boot normally and running Android 7.0 too (but when I check the storage it still booting from the memory card?). So my question is, when flashing the firmware in Fastboot, should I
first remove the memory card then flash the firmware?
ANSWERED - Remove Micro-SD card from SD card slot after booting into bootloader.

Finally I got to see the bootloader again ?
I was from Android 6.0, but I flash the Android 7.0 official stock ROM, now giving it a while to charge at Fastboot as it was only 1%... Don't know whether did I do anything wrong??
I think you can flash any - 6.x or 7.0, after flashing and one boot you can repeat it without sd card. @justmoto92
@dzidexx Do you have the loader.img for 6.0 and 7.0? I want to try both loader.img.
Now my issue are :
1. Phone doesn't charge after plugging in, it only enter the circular turbo charging screen, then black screen.
2. The loader.img from other thread is from 7.0 right?
3. Now my memory card doesn't boot up the OS already...
4. Power button and volume button doesn't seem to do anything...

@dzidexx Your loader.img works!
I flashed the 7.0 firmware (NPH25.200-22) after that phone couldn't boot, so I flashed your 6.0 loader.img and that's when the phone suddenly able to charge normally (YAY!) and also able to boot normally with the new HelloMoto splash screen and running Android 7.0 too (but when I check the storage it still booting from the memory card?). So my question is, when flashing the firmware in Fastboot, should I
first remove the memory card then flash the firmware?
You have to try - I didn't do it. @justmoto92
@dzidexx Beside looking at the ROM version, how do we check whether our XT1575 is running on Marshmallow or Nougat Kernel & Modem?
Are we able to find out at bootloader screen? Or somewhere else? Thanks!
Anyway, thanks for your ongoing replies and help! Deeply appreciate it a lot! You are really helpful! ?
MM baseband is M8992.....02R, N is M...08R.
Should be the same on BL screen and into "info about phone".
DevCheck, Kernel Adiutor, info about phone..and many more apps will show you full [email protected] of kernel.
Stock MM kernel can't work with stock Nougat - you can't have wrong.
if you could provide moto x style(xt1572) stock firmware 7.0 for dual sim india/asia ,that would be very helpful...
