im afraid its not possible. ace and galaxy y are two different phones with different drivers etc. Think of it like this-ace firmware was never meant to be used on galaxy y

but ace i(gt-s5830i)'s rom can port to galaxy y. i tried to port a custom rom of ace i, it installed succesfully but dont booted so maybe can boot it with good knowledge.

I have used stock 4.1.2, 4.2.2, CM11 & RR in my grand..... really want to say that we are so lucky that mid range device like grand has a really acive community.....
but omni or cm or paranoid are almost same.....
I really want to try something new....
I would like to request developers in community to port UBUNTU Touch or firefox OSfor our device....
I really want to try those OS.....
