Hello,
I could not get my Dualshock 4 to sync via bluetooth so on a whim, I thought lets buy a USB OTG Host cable and see if it will work wired
as I had read up on the 2nd Gen stick had USB functionality unlike the 1st Gen sicks, to my amazement it worked evidence below.
The 2nd Gen Fire Stick supports DS4(PS4 Controller) via OTG

Side-note: The 1st Gen Xbone doesnt work via USB I tried.
Hope this is useful
Tom.

Just a quick question, can Nexus 7 work as USB Host ? Just like in our PC , the PC is working as USB host and can accept many USB devices like thumbdriver , does Nexus 7 support this feature or not ?

This feature is called OTG or On the Go.
And yes it does. I have tested two things.
1) 32GB USB flash stick (works perfectly with stickmount)
2) Logitech G15 keyboard as host + saitek GM-3200 mouse. Both work fine together.
i'm not able to use my thinkpad keyboard...
it works just fine with a OTG USB adapter on my gnex but nothing on the nexus7 - this really annoys me!
Anyone tried a 360 or PS3 controller on this tablet ?. I have a wireless 360 controller with the usb adapter lead but the 10 doesn't pick it up. They are pretty cheap on ebay but not sure which to get :-
PS3 controller £9.99 (around $15) - Works via bluetooth and uses its own battery.
360 wired controller £12.99 (around $20) - Plugs via OTG but will draw power from the tablet.
Both I think are knock off versions so might not even work lol
There are apps on the market that provide the software and drivers needed for either a PS3 controller or xbox 360 wired controller via OTG. Then you can use either one to play emulated games
As for your cheap ebay controllers, i'm not sure.

On other devices you could use the PC Wirless adapter for the 360 via USB, and use wireless 360 controllers. The nexus 10 doesn't seem to even turn it on via otg though :/
Im in the same predicament kinda sad the ` ultimate tablet' it's the one that least has hardware support
I can't comment on the ps3 but the Xbox 360 wired controller works just fine for me.

I have both a wireless 360 controller and a cheap 360 replica. Both work like they should when I connect them via OTG to the Nexus 10.
Also, connecting a mouse and a keyboard works with OTG.
I read that OTG cables are different from each other, it may or may not work depending on the cable.
I have used both and I prefer the ps3 controller. I use the otg cable with both. If you root the N10 you can you use the ps3 controller via bluetooth with an app called six axis. You don't need an app if just using the otg cable.

Ps4 controller, jk. Obviously ps3, root your device and use sixaxis controller as more ppl says... all games work with it .
I have a Google ethernet adapter from a Chromecast and I figured it should work with my Fire TV stick 4K (2018). It does not, the wired connection does not show up in the Fire TV stick settings. Not sure what the problem is.
Anyone had any luck using the Chromecast ethernet adapter with (any) Fire TV? From what I read the chipset is very common so the drivers should be there. Maybe the adapter doesn't provide enough power? It's spec'ed at 850mA.
I ended up getting the official Amazon ethernet dongle and that works fine. Was hoping to repurpose the Google ethernet adapter as I have no other use for it, but it doesn't seem to work.
i have the exact same issue.. im going to a try a usb-c docking station i have laying around before i bite the $15 bullet
Is there a way to connect FireHD 10 2019 to a monitor and a mouse and keyboard via usb-c to hdmi, usbA connector, I am able to do this on my samsung. I want to replace my laptop with this tablet. So would like to use a bigger screen while at home and office.
Let me know if there is a solution before or after rooting the device.

USB-C video output is not supported on your Fire tablet. You have to use TeamViewer to display your Fire tablet screen remotely into your PC.
Watch this video how to setup
To use mouse and keyboard. Can you use an USB-C OTG and an USB hub
I have a Kindle Fire HD 10 (11th gen), I bought a case with keyboard, the keyboard is connected with USB, so I use due OTG to USB C... but, my tablet don't recognize the Keyboard, don't work at all. my first thought was that maybe the OTG adapter or the keyboard were broken, but both works perfectly with my Xiaomi. I even tried to connect a 8gb USB with the OTG adapter, neither works (my xiaomi so read the USB memory).
I already do a factory reset, any suggestion? Maybe I should root? I really need the keyboard for writing my thesis when I'm not at home.
