A new update here (Europe) : Oreo 329 (after 321); the update is 450 Mo

No appear L29 329 8.0 here

This version has appeared which doesn't contain the word 'log' - MHA-AL00 8.0.0.330(C00)
Is it the final, full Oreo version for MHA-AL00 users?

İt's written in form. Î have made. İt's very easy. But DONT FORGET to backup your documents likes photografs. All internal data will be deleted after rolling back. Also even you rolled back you couldnt get beta firmware because of that you registered as b321. Than best way to wait offical version.

Beta is an early build of EMUI 5.0 for Huawei Mate. That’s why it appears to be having issues with Bluetooth, Keyboard input, Permissions, Notifications, Dual SIM Option and SIM compatibility, among other bugs.
You'd to wait for Official Stable Version.

B321 itself is beta rom for EMUI 4.1, if you want to receive future OTA update you should probably rollback to B211 or whatever is the newest EMUI 4.0 for L09C636. Instruction for rollback can be found here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NB1CSheVDH0
Don't expect official (stable) C636 nougat update to be released in a few days. They have just started another round of EMUI 5.0 beta test for the C636 earlier this month, I know because I'm one of their beta testers. It takes time for them to collect responses from beta testing and polish the final version.

Thanks for informing strange also that not more beta testers is here to tell us the current status.
Can you tell me was it a lot of stuff that needed to be fixed in the beta version before this one ?

According to a comment from the video it also works on the L09, but I cannot confirm because I only have L29. I think you just need to find the suitable L09C636 firmware for the final step, the rest should be the same.
You can use an app called firmware finder on the play market to download L09C636 firmware.

Current beta is close to the final product, it is as functional as the B321 and I use it as daily driver, only some minor bugs. I don't think the wait will be too long.

Mate 9 MHA-L09C316

Hi Guys
Just picked my new Huawei mate 9. So far so good..
But i have an issue with updates. My version is MHA-L09C316B150. Im checking for updates but the update system says i have the latest version.. I checked on this thread that the oreo update is out. Will i be able to update my phone to the MHA-L09 version listed here?
Also can someone explain what the C316 is? I see there is C33, C632 etc
Just to add, my device has the last security update from Jan 2017.. Wtf.. Why has no further updates been done..
Value after C in build number is region/localization.
List of known regions is here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/regions-mate-9-region-codes-t3555086
But I didn't find C316.
Where are you from? Is your phone selling in stores or you got it from mobile operator by contract?
You can see available stock ROMs for your phone in Firmware Finder. Enter model MHA-L09C316 in search.
I did it, but FF did not find anything about your region. There are two options: stock ROMs for C316 are existing, but FF does not know where are they. Or Huawei did not post them to HiCloud.
If I have had phone with rare region, I will rebrand it to more popular region. It is too hard process for newbie. You have to read about unlock bootloader, TWRP, patched recovery, different models and regions. But staying on region C316 you may not receive any update even. By my experience, Huawei updates popular regions and does not care operator's versions.
As alternative you can ask provider (if phone by contract), write to Huawei or wait for update.
@ 5[Strogino] Thanks for feedback
Im from South Africa and yes the phone is on contract. Network is Vodacom which is part of Vodafone.. I dont understand why this stupid network didnt issue the international region as most phones come with European software installed or even middle east areas. I agree with you, i will have to rebrand my device. I have done flashing on samsung and LG phones but this is my first Huawei.. will read up on some posts and attempt.
was trying to update with Huawei updater 2.0 and hisuite, no luck.. gives me no internet connection error.. tried editing hosts file too but no luck
Finally managed to to install Android 8 and rebrand my device to europe firmware.. testing now.

It's an official beta, but still a beta.
Oreo for Mate 9 should arrive in December or January for everyone.
Right now you can only install beta by applying in Huaweis beta app, or cheat and use Hwota as you did
It's a very stable beta.

Version compatibility? MHA-L09C900B186 to MHA-L09 8.0.0.324 (C900)

My Mate 9 build version is MHA-L09C900B186 (unlocked international version). I see on Developer Team MT there is a version: MHA-L09 8.0.0.324 (C900) which seems to be Oreo for the "C900", correct?
However Firmware Finder says "not approved"...
Has anyone received an OTA or updated the same version (C900) to Oreo?
Oreo is beta, so unless you enroll the beta program and get in you won't be able to install it normally.
You'll have to use HWOTA.

Their official non beta update has not rolled out yet except for the Chinese variant AFIK and those are quotas, it hasn't rolled out to any other variant as of yet. That article was not very clear about that. When it has rolled out for your variant you will know it as it will show up in settings, system update. All those Oreo ROMs on ff are betas so they are not authorized unless you are enrolled in the beta program. You can install them, but only through the HWOTA method. If you want the official OTA update be patient, it will get to you.

You are correct that it is Oreo for the C900 variant the reason ff says "not approved" is because it is a beta version.
Still no update for the C900?
And still no update for this darn phone, when is Huawei going to release an update? Android "P" is out already and no bloody update yet for this phone.
Same here. No update for this phone.
Even worse: the security patches are from April 2017.... thats a year ago. Really bad.

Hmm. You have generic international model without binding to specific region.
As I know, it has poor update history.
Maybe, it would be better to rebrand onto C432 (Europe) region.
I think I have the same international unspecified region (although I though I was Middle East) and have been on 181 all the time until today.
Then I received an update to b182 then b188 then 370c then 371c one after the other - just now.

Probably, Huawei will force C185 region to Oreo.
According experience, there are some factors which decrease chances to get update. Have C185 region while living in Kenya is one of them. I have C636 region's ROM and living in Russia. Also, I have problems with automatic updates and have to use FF to update. Not a big problem at all
6 hours after I wrote previous post, I received update on my device.
Without FF !
If you should want to change from C900 to something else, But I worked for me. I have a phone that I found was IMEI registered to the middle east but during the IMEI checks via FF I found that C900 and C567 worked on mine.
My phone was originally received as C900.
Just try your IMEI against separate ROMs and you'll find the compatible ones.

Yeah. Huawei approves imei from other regions, but you have to do rebranding procedure first to go onto foreign region's ROM.
Checked again and the firmware MHA-L09C432B363 is "approved for installation" through FF onto my MHA-L09C900B186, will this work?
Or should I use Funkyhuawei (or other method?) to rebrand?

For me it's above average like on nougat, I'm around 4-6 hours of screen on-time.
Will I get upadate without SIM?
Dumb question, but I was hoping to hang on to my current phone until my Mate 9 gets Oreo. Which means my M9 does not have a SIM in it. However, I am connected to WiFi.
I'm waiting on official push versus Region changes or FF installs.
I have the US version, MHA-L29C567B190 . Thanks.
It doesn't work for me in the UK. I've also checked using firmware finder and the only firmware approved for installation is for 636 however I have a 432 direct from Huawei as a replacement for a broken Nexus 6P that was still covered under EU warranty.

Yes we will get oreo update but 322 version is not for us.
There is another version in firmware finder that is 321 and that is for our phone but it can't be installed cause it's not approved for installation.
These versions of oreo that are now on firmware finder are beta. Wait a little for the official stable version. It might be released soon. Maybe this week or next week

The latest version is 214 for our device. If you want to found the firmware for our device in firmware finder you need to do this.
First tap on the Add model button
Then search this: PRA-L21HC185
then tap on ok and you will see this model on the main screen of the app.
The firmwares in that section is for our phone.
The name is different but after you installed the rom, you'll see build number is still pra-la1c185.
Just before getting the update checked the firmware access
The latest version is 214 for now. I installed before and it was approved for installing but now it's not approved. I don't know why!
But you can install 211 if 214 is not approved for you too
