[Q] Cant sync with Google Play

Hi there.
Some months ago Google Play stopped working on my system (Huawei U8800).
Don't know what I did although I had rooted the device around that time - I didnt connect the dots. Im not even sure it rooted correctly. I have since found Root Checker which I must have downloaded before the crash cos I was recently able to install it on the U8800. It does tell me in Root Info that Root Access - no access. So now Im deeper in the, err, mud.
Bottom line is I cant download anything and I really need it back.
Id really appreciate some advice here. Thx

Help please

So, I wanted to root my s7 edge, from sprint, and I used odin and I did it all mainly right, except. It never installed supersu because of some disk error? Im not very sure. The phone worked perfect before now the fingerprint wont work, and samsung pay wont. When I boot the phone up it says custom. How do I get rid of this and unroot it? Im not very tech savvy at this and I would reallt appreciate the hell because I havent even had the phone for a day and I can hardly use it now because of the root.. Please help me

When you root your phone, most roots will break Knox (the security app that is used for the finger printers samsung pay and many other apps that require security verification) You will have to reset to stock or find an unroot to fix it. Here is a link to a stock room it was the newest I could find on the sprint S7 edge forum: https://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-s7-edge/how-to/sm-g935p-g935pvps4bqg1-stock-odin-t3660973
Considering i need 935p not 925 I dont think it'd work, how would I reset to stock? And or how would I unroot? I tried using kingoroot to unroot but that did nothing

No root found for my s8

I have an at&t samsung s8 snapdragon Oreo. For some reason I deleted all my text message and I dont have a back up. In order to retrieve them back the software i purchased ask me to root my device. The problem is after i google all the internet forum I no where found root from oreo yet. So my question is if I downgrade to Nougat and root my device, am I still able to recover my files and text back. I know I probably need a clean install but the memory is not fully wipe and I know the files are still there somewhere right? Is it possible guys.. big thank you in advance everyone for the answer...ps. I really in a big trouble

if you are able to downgrade and root the files will be over written by the downgrade and root method both leaving them more than likely gone
so pretty much you have to find a no root program that is capable of recovering them in oreo
Do you know by chance any software that really works without rooting? Thank you!!
Did you check your backups? Try to find an app that scans for deleted files, or a terminal command. Device manager most likely wiped the space.. probably shouldn't reboot the phone either..

Do I need to root my S8 in order to flash an updated stock ROM?

I am very new to all of this, so I am sorry if I'm ignorant about it, and honestly I don´t even have any interest in rooting my device (SM-G950FD), but when I check for new updates, it says the cellphone is already updated to the latest version (Is not, it is currently on 8.0).
I recently bought this phone to a friend and he claims to have never rooted the device, nevertheless, some things point to it being rooted. When I try to use the Samsung Pass App, a text pops up and says "You can't use the app because you rooted your cellphone." Besides this, I can't update the phone or sync my google photos pictures. I installed a root checker app, and it says "Sorry! Root acces is not properly installed on this device."
I was planning on followint the steps of a youtube video from HighOnAndroid called "How to Unroot Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus w/ Stock Firmware!" But I am afraid I can brick my phone if it's not already rooted. So I don´t know if I should just follow those steps, or first root my device (Even if I don´t know if it´s rooted yet) and then fo what the video says.
Thanks!

1. No you don't need to root to upgrade your phone.
2. You can check in download mode to see if you phone has been modified / rooted. Should have a line saying something like Warranty Void. 0 means phone not modify, 1 means phone is modified.
https://android.gadgethacks.com/how...-s8-into-recovery-mode-download-mode-0177223/
3. You can download firmware from sammobil.com or updato.com ( there are other site as well ). But download speed are slow. You also use PC app like samfirm or frija to download latest firmware.

Need help. TWRP says i have no os anymore and i cant get in android anymore

Long story short i used odin to try and root my galaxy s8 using twrp 3.5.3_9-0, rmm-state_bypass_mesa.zip and magisk 16.1.zip.
Somewhere in the process i accidently wiped the os it seems. My phone cant get in android now anymore i need some help please getting my os back on. It seems rooting is far too complex and the amount of tutorial/guides on the internet and youtube is overwhelming and some say contradictorary results.
I just want to get android 8.0.0 back on my phone and running can someone tell me what steps to follow please.
